The Letter L
One Shots Collated
Kevin wakes up to a sunny day, and decided to play the alphabet game. It is the twelfth day, and by the rules of the game (that he made up), all his sentences has to start with L. Right after freshening up, he was dragged to the practice room where the other members were already practising for their comeback.
“Late, sorry!” Kevin smiled sheepishly as he got into position and did the routine from where he joined in.
The rest paid him no mind, letting it pass since Kevin was never late. First offence, forget it. Unlike Dongho who always oversleeps...
It went on for two hours or so, before they all collapsed to the ground to catch their breath. Finally able to rest, Kevin remembered his alphabet game, and he instinctively said a word when his eyes fell on Kibum.
“Love.” Kevin said dreamily, looking at Kibum with a smile. However, the said man was busy playing with Kiseop.
Kevin bit his lower lip and winced when it hurt, when his heart hurt.
“Look, stupid.” Kevin directed his soft words to Kibum, who didn’t hear anything. Obviously, because Kevin was speaking as if he was whispering to an ant. Alexander frowned and was a little irritated at Kevin, who was saying words that made no sense.
“What?” The oldest asked in the nicest way he could at the moment. Kevin shook his head and stood up to clear his mind off jealous thoughts.
Kevin took in a deep breath and let it out, before heading towards the toilet for a toilet break. He fixed his hair before leaving the washroom and re-entered the dance room where all the other members are.
“Laughter.” Kevin spat out, disgusted.
Eli blinked quizzically and looked up to see a sulking Kevin. “You okay?”
‘Lonely.’
Kevin wanted to say, but he forced out a smile and shook his head, thinking Eli would miss those eyes that were...
Longing.
Eli turned to see Kibum violently handling Kiseop.
“Oh, so that’s what it is...” Eli says to himself, while seeing Kevin in a dazed condition. Standing up, he decided to do a good (or bad, depending on how you perceive Kibum’s violence) deed and help Kevin.
-
“Lies!” Kevin screamed.
Everyone stared at the couple, surprised by Kevin’s shout. Kibum frowned and grabbed Kevin’s shoulders. Annoyed, he asked. “What’s wrong with you?”
“Let go.” A quiet but firm voice. He didn’t let his voice quiver, nor did he let that tear welling up in his eye slide down his face. Kevin opened his eyes wide and forced himself not to blink.
“Leave.” Kibum didn’t move an inch. He paused, to let Kevin have a moment for himself. His hand was then raised to Kevin’s face, before it landed softly to touch Kevin’s cheek. Kibum moved his thumb to catch that tear that managed to slide out, despite Kevin’s effort.
Cupping the younger’s face with his hands, Kibum leaned forward. “I’m sorry for whatever.”
Lips...
Met. Kevin hated himself for being too damn easy, but right now, he didn’t and couldn’t bring himself to care. He moved forward to try and control where this whole situation is going, but Kibum fought him into submission. Whatever, at least it was still moving in the direction where Kevin wanted it to be.
“Done with the high school drama? Ready to start practice?” Soohyun raised an eyebrow while covering Dongho’s eyes. “Stop treating me like a baby, I want to see!”
-
After KeMaru went back to lovey-dovey terms, Kevin told Kibum of his alphabet game. Kibum laughed at Kevin, but adopted the letter “M”.
Kevin didn’t think much of it.
-
“Kev? Time for Pops.” Alexander notified, knocking on Kibum’s door.
Kevin stood up from Kibum’s lap and was ready to leave when Kibum wrapped his arms around Kevin’s waist possessively.
“Mine.”
