Both dressed in fitted jeans and a button up shirt, Sehun and Luhan made their way towards the front gate of their University. The taller boy kept a tight grip on Luhan’s hand as he noticed the hungry looks of passerby’s. ‘Don’t even think about it…he’s mine.’ thought Sehun, giving a quick glare to anyone who felt worthy of eyeing his boyfriend. Even though Luhan did look especially good this evening, Sehun felt as though the smaller boy was only his to look at. Anyone who glanced at Luhan for more than three seconds was automatically on Sehun’s hit list.

He is in love after all…

As the two boys neared the busy street, Luhan noticed the sleek black Mercedes waiting by the gate and the pretty woman looking out of the rolled down window.

“Sehunnie!” the woman called, opening the door to the passengers seat and stepping out to greet her son. She looked fairly young: wearing a fitted black dress and heels that made her reach Sehun’s height and Luhan couldn’t help but admire how stunning she was.

As Sehun greeted the woman with a smile, Luhan glanced back and forth between the two of them until he made the connection. Trying his best to pry his hand out of Sehun’s grip, Luhan could feel himself beginning to sweat. ‘Why is Sehun’s mother here!?’ Luhan screamed in his head, his emotions spinning out of control. Should he be happy that Sehun wants his parents to meet him? Or should he be angry with Sehun for not telling him before hand…

Sensing Luhan’s internal struggle, Sehun pulled the boy closer and introduced him. “Umma, this is Luhan…”

The woman gave Luhan a warm smile and a surprising hug. “It’s so nice to meet you, Luhan. Sehun was telling me all about you.” she said, still smiling as she glanced towards her son.

“It’s a pleasure meeting you, too.” said Luhan, trying to hide his nervous blush.

“My son is so lucky to have such an adorable boyfriend. Aren’t you, Sehunnie?” said Sehun’s mother, hoping that her son appreciates what he has.

“Yeah, I’m very lucky…” agreed Sehun, smiling down at his boyfriend.

Overwhelmed by the affection from both Sehun and his mother, Luhan didn’t notice the man walking around to the side of the car.

“Appa...” said Sehun, making eye contact with his father. He has a good relationship with the man, but Sehun has no idea how his father will react to finding out that his son is dating another boy. It’s not that he expects his father to freak out or hate Luhan, it’s just that Sehun and him have never discussed the topic of Sehun’s ual preference, so he’s a bit nervous.

“You must be Luhan...” said Sehun’s father, offering his hand to the small boy.

Snapping out of his daze, Luhan looked up and met the eyes of a tall and handsome man. ‘So this is Sehun’s father…he looks important.’ thought Luhan, feeling a bit intimidated as he shook his hand.

“It’s nice to meet you.” greeted Luhan, giving a slight bow in respect. The man was clearly older than Sehun’s mother, not by too much, but enough to give the impression that he’s a successful man capable of attracting younger women.

“You must be very special for Sehun to have you meet us. He’s never brought anyone home before.” said the man, offering Luhan a smile in an effort to calm the boy’s nerves. He has nothing against Sehun dating another boy, so he does feel bad for being the cause of Luhan’s stress.

Wrapping an arm around Luhan’s waist, Sehun let out a breath he didn’t realize he was holding. Seeing his father being so accepting of his relationship, Sehun couldn’t help but be relieved.

After getting in the car, Sehun’s father pulled away from the curb and headed towards the restaurant.

“So, Luhan…what major are you studying?” asked Sehun’s mother, twisting around in her seat to face the boy.

“Business.” replied Luhan, smiling sweetly at the woman.

“Really? Sehun’s father here is a businessman. I’m sure he’d love to discuss your studies with you.”

“Y-yeah. I bet I could learn a lot from him.” said Luhan, feeling shaky just at the thought of having a one-on-one conversation with Sehun’s father. 

“Umma…I didn’t agree to dinner to talk about education.” said Sehun, giving his mother a look of boredom.

“Oh, hush Sehunnie. I’m only curious.”

“You know, Luhan…once you get closer to graduation, I wouldn’t mind having you as an intern.” said Sehun’s father, glancing at the smaller boy through the rear view mirror.

“Really?” asked Luhan, shocked that the man would offer such a thing.

“Well, it’s clear that Sehun likes you and I trust his opinion on most things, so I’d be happy to have you working for me.”

“I don’t know what to say...” said Luhan.

“Just make sure to get in touch with me if you’re interested.”

“Of course! Thank you, sir.”

Smiling at Luhan’s appreciation, the man simply responded with, “You’re welcome.”

After leaving the car with the valet, Sehun’s father wrapped an arm around his wife and led the way inside. It was a fairly large and dimly lit restaurant, but Luhan could tell that it was very upscale. Most of the men dining here were wearing suits, much like Sehun’s father, and the woman were dressed up as well. There were crystal chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, beautiful red drapery around the windows, and a pristine white tablecloth on every table; accented with a small bouquet of red roses in the center. Everything seemed so fancy and Luhan couldn’t help but feel a bit out of place.

As they were approaching the hostess podium, Sehun found Luhan’s hand and intertwined their fingers. Sehun understands that his boyfriend may still be a little nervous, but he wants Luhan to feel comfortable here and if Sehun knows his parents, they’ll end up inviting Luhan to more occasions if this night goes smoothly. It’s Sehun’s job to help the smaller boy relax and adjust to this type of environment.

Feeling Sehun take hold of his hand in front of the entire restaurant took Luhan by surprise as he peered up at the boy with a nervous look in his eyes. It’s not that Luhan really minded the public display, but he was afraid of people staring.

“Sehun-ah…”

“Don’t worry about it. No one’s going to say anything…I won’t let them.” said Sehun, giving Luhan’s hand a squeeze in an attempt to calm him down.

With his heart fluttering at Sehun’s confidence, Luhan couldn’t help but blush. Sehun always made him feel safe no matter what.

After following the hostess and seating themselves at a quiet table near one of the big windows, Sehun’s mother began the next round of questioning.

“Has my son been treating you well, Luhan? As you probably know, he’s never been in a relationship before, so I want to make sure he’s taking care of you…”

“Umma! Of course I—”

“Sehun, I didn’t ask you.” interrupted Sehun’s mother, giving her son a pointed look before returning her gaze to Luhan.

“He treats me very well, Mrs. Oh. You don’t have to worry. Sehun is sweet to me…there’s really no problem.” responds Luhan, feeling his cheeks redden due to the topic of conversation, though he should have expected these types of question from Sehun’s mother.

Proud with the fact that Luhan knows he’s a good boyfriend, Sehun gives his mother a smug grin.

“Did you say Sehun is sweet? You must be talking about someone else…” said Sehun’s father, jokingly eying Luhan with a look of disbelief.

Smiling at the mans playful demeanor, Luhan shakes his head in response, “When he wants to be, Sehun can be pretty charming.”

Reaching for Luhan’s hand under the table, Sehun smiled in adoration. Hearing Luhan talk about him like that always made him happy.

So far, their night with Sehun’s parents was going well and the boy was pleased to see that his parents really liked Luhan. By the time their dinner was finished, Sehun could tell that Luhan had loosened up a bit by acting like his usual cute self. Luhan and his parents would laugh and continue on with their conversations as if the boy was someone they’ve known forever. It was nice to see his parents getting along so well with Luhan.

After only a short ride back, Sehun’s father pulled up in front of the University. As they were getting out of the car, Sehun was pulled aside by his father.

“The Jeju house is free for you to use once your classes are over…I think you’re old enough now to stay there without us.” said Sehun’s father, smiling down at his son.

“Really?”

“Yes, really. I can see how responsible you’ve become so I trust you with staying there…”

“Can I bring Luhan?” asked Sehun, still shocked that his father offered him their vacation house.

“Of course you can. I really like that boy and I hope you do as well. I know how you used to play all those girls Sehun, and I don’t want to see you doing the same with Luhan.” said Sehun’s father, suddenly getting serious as he gave his son an intimidating glare.

Ashamed that his father had caught on, though not really surprised, Sehun bit his lip and focused his gaze on the ground.

“Also, I hope Luhan understands that I have nothing wrong with your relationship. I don’t want the boy to be worried.”

Looking up at his father, Sehun denied the idea that Luhan may be worried. He knew for sure that his boyfriend fully understood how his parents felt about them being together. It honestly became quite obvious with the way Luhan was still chatting with Sehun’s mother on the other side of the car.

“No, Luhan knows…and I’m glad that you guys like him so much...” said Sehun, blushing as he peeked around the car to see his boyfriend and his mother hugging goodbye.

“He’s a nice kid and I’m proud of you for taking this relationship of yours seriously.” said Sehun’s father as the two of them walked around to the side of the car.

Smiling at the comment, Sehun couldn’t help but think how much being with Luhan has changed him. Not only has the smaller boy pulled Sehun out of his previous past time of sleeping with anyone who offered, but Luhan has also taught him the importance of responsibility and loyalty. Sehun couldn’t be happier than he is right now with Luhan. He loves having someone to call his own and he’s so lucky that it’s Luhan. Sehun was never really liked by many of peers, the reason being quite obvious, but since he started dating Luhan, Sehun can see the change. The judgmental looks he would have previously received are slowly turning into looks of respect. Finally, certain students are beginning to understand Sehun’s change in lifestyle and the boy appreciates it. And again, he has Luhan to thank for that.

“It was a pleasure meeting you tonight, Luhan. I hope we can see more of you in the future.” said Sehun’s father, bringing an arm around his wife’s waist.

“It was nice meeting you too. And thank you so much for dinner!” replied Luhan.

“You’re so sweet, dear. Feel free to join Sehun if he ever comes home to visit. We’d love to have you over.” said Sehun’s mother, smiling down at the boy.

Blushing at the thought of spending a night or two at Sehun’s house, Luhan simply nodded.

“Well, we have class tomorrow morning and it’s getting late…” said Sehun, taking Luhan’s hand in his own.

“He’s right honey, we should get going.” agreed Sehun’s father, opening the car door for his wife before walking around to the drivers seat.

“Take good care of him, Sehunnie!” exclaimed the woman, as the car began rolling away.

“I will! I’ve been doing fine so far…” said Sehun, giving his mother a pout as she waved goodbye.

Once the car was out of sight, Luhan wrapped his arms around Sehun’s neck and gave him a passionate kiss, not caring about the few students that were scattered across campus.

Having wanted to kiss the boy all night, Sehun responded just as eager, pulling Luhan closer. Their heated kissing only lasted another minute before a shout was heard from down the street. Both looking over to see who interrupted them, the boys were met with Chanyeol and Baekhyun, the smaller boy clinging to Chanyeol’s back as he carried him.

“Hey guys!” yelled Chanyeol, dragging his backpack beside him while trying to keep his grip on Baekhyun.

Laughing at the sight of their friends struggle, Sehun and Luhan met them halfway to help carry their bags.

“How was your weekend?” asked Luhan, peering up at Baekhyun.

“Perfect.” responded the smaller boy, leaning down to give Chanyeol’s neck a little kiss as he tightened his grip around him.

Shivering at the feeling, Chanyeol blushed. “Y-yeah. It was perfect…”

After smiling at his two friends, Luhan brought himself to Sehun’s side once again, bumping shoulders with the boy as they continued walking to their dorms.

“I think they’re a cute couple.” said Luhan, glancing behind him at Chanyeol and Baekhyun.

“I think so too. I mean, Chanyeol’s really the only one who can handle a boyfriend like Baekhyun.” responded Sehun.

“What do you mean?”

“Get off? Chanyeol! I’m tired and sore! A man like you should have no problem carrying me up the stairs.”

“Oh…” said Luhan, fully understanding Sehun’s point.

A/N: so this revolves a lot around sehun, but whatever. also, i didn't edit this so sorry if there are any grammar mistakes (i'll look at it tomorrow) and i'm super tired. anyways, sehun's parents liked luhan (a lot)!! i know a lot didn't happen at their dinner, but i wasn't going to make this chapter just pointless drama or boring conversations so i made it brief...and chanyeol actually carried baekhyun...awww. let me know what you think!
