Don't Go 

"That's it for today?"

"Is she in a hurry?"

"Is this for real?"

Thousands of unspoken sentences echoed in the different minds of the workers.

Jessica stood up and dismissed the staff. 

"Miss Jung ... But we haven't discussed the events that are going to happen for the Sparkles event," A worker trembled as he spoke.

"I thought we just discussed that?" Jessica asked in a rather threatening tone.

"Yes, Miss Jung did. Right, let's get our work done," Another worker dragged the trembling worker away.

"Gosh," Jessica hissed.

Jessica checked her watch as she packed her files neatly on her table.

Seven Pm, the watch read.

"Oh god, I'm going to be late again!" Jessica exclaimed.

Soon she got down to her white Porsche and got herself into a restaurant. 

Soft, classical music greeted her ears as she stepped delicately onto the brown carpet of the restaurant.

"Good evening, Miss Jung," the waitress greeted her.

Jessica nodded and smiled as a way for greeting back the waitress. While she looked around the restaurant, not far away there sat a woman with white dress and her black, long curves resting near her collar bone.

She stood up and bowed slightly to Jessica. There she was, her best friend, Tiffany.

Tiffany did her "Gentlemen" move by pulling the chair for Jessica to sit.

"Please, Miss Jung," Tiffany gestured towards the seat.

"My pleasure," Jessica giggled while she settled down on the huge, red velvet coloured chair.

"You look stunning," Jessica smiled.

"While I'm looking stunning, you're looking gorgeous," Tiffany beamed.

It sounded more like the both of them were flirting with each other though.

"How was America?" Jessica asked playfully.

"Well, America's good in every way. But there's something that there’s lacking while I’m there."

"Which is?"

"You." 

"Excuse me," Jessica coughed violently as she nearly spat out her mouthful of water.

Tiffany giggled, "You still can't take joke, can you?" 

"Not jokes like these maybe," Jessica mumbled.

“I’m sorry, your highness” Tiffany bent slightly in her seat as a way to apologize.

“You’re forgiven,” Jessica giggled.

There’s always something about Tiffany that Jessica liked a lot. Maybe it’s the way how this girl could easily make her smile or Jessica was really comfortable whenever she is around Tiffany.

“Miss, may I take your order?” A waitress approached the pair.

“We would love to have red wine for starters,” Tiffany smiled as she’d placed her order.

“Sure,” The waitress nodded as she left.

“Say, how long are you going to stay here?” Jessica asked.

“Jess,” Tiffany started and Jessica knew that something bad is going to happen. It’s either Tiffany is going to confess to her again or… Wait? Confess? She didn’t like this idea and hoped that Tiffany would not do anything like this anymore.

“I’m leaving tomorrow,” Tiffany looked softly into Jessica’s eyes.

“Come again? You’re leaving tomorrow?” Jessica’s eyes widened.

“Yes, and I’m going to stay in America. I have no intention to be back anymore,” Tiffany said in a matter-of-factly tone.

“You have no intention to be back anymore? Then what about your family? What about your job here? What about… what about us?” Jessica raised her voice a little.

“Wine is here,” The waitress broke the silence as she diligently filled half of the cups with the red wine.

Jessica kept mum; she didn’t know what she could do to persuade Tiffany to stay. What could she say anyway? Tell Tiffany how much she loved this best friend of hers? Could she really tell her how she felt about this girl?

Tiffany had been in love with Jessica since 3 years ago. They met when they're in high school and the first time they met, it was really awkward for Jessica.

3 Years Ago :

Jessica had been singing in the toilet while she was trying to do her business, thinking that there's no one in the toilet. 
"Miss, you don't own the toilet you know. I need to pee and your singing is distracting me,"  somebody spoke.

"Well, you can use the other one," Jessica opened the door, she wanted to scream at the person but her jaws dropped. 

In front of her, stood a woman who was rather pretty, Jessica thought. The girl wore a blue t-shirt which complimented her curves and her black jeans showed off her hips proudly. 

"Well?" That woman looked at Jessica. 

"Well, you can use the other one at a different level, you know," Jessica snapped.

Tiffany giggled. 

"What?" Jessica shot Tiffany a look.

"Your zipper…" Tiffany pointed down. 

"I've got my zipper done already?" Jessica checked at her own jeans.

"Your zipper is pink, I like pink," Tiffany beamed. 

"Gosh, what is with this woman?" Jessica mumbled. 

As Jessica was about to leave, Tiffany grabbed her arm. “I like you, I want to be your friend." 

"Come again?" Jessica's eyes widened. 

"Here's my number," Tiffany handed her a slip of paper. "So call me maybe," and this was how Tiffany ended her sentence. 

Jessica didn't call Tiffany back however she was really intrigued by the way how Tiffany approached her. 

Tiffany waited for Jessica everyday outside the same toilet and Jessica knew it. 

One day, Jessica decided to creep behind of the toilet door and she suddenly asked Tiffany if she was waiting for her. 

Tiffany spat her water out onto Jessica's face upon hearing her voice. 

"Very kind of you," Jessica wiped the water droplets off her face. 

"I'm sorry!" Tiffany exclaimed as she volunteered to wipe off the water she'd spat out on Jessica's face. 

And ever since that incident, Jessica began to talk to Tiffany and soon they'd became best of friends. Their conversation topics weren’t just limited to about their academic stuffs; they can talk about different type of food located in Korea to what kind of clothes they both should wear to show off their assets. They basically talk about everything under the sun.

There've been several occasions where Tiffany tried to confess to Jessica.

Year 1 :
"Oh my, god. This food taste so good!" Jessica nodded her head to agree on her own statement. 

"Jessica… I like you." Tiffany looked into her eyes as she confessed. 

"Food taste good..." Jessica didn't know how to answer Tiffany's confession. 

"You're avoiding my question," Tiffany looked down. 

"We're too young for things like that," Jessica spoke as she stood up and scuttled away.

Year 2 :
"Okay class, start doing your bio practical now!" Their biology teacher announced. 

"Cut half down the chicken meat and pour the copper sulphate solution on it," Tiffany instructed Jessica. 

"Got it!" Jessica took the ruler and began to measure the depth of the cube chicken meat before cutting the chicken meat. 

"Jess," 

"Hmm?" Jessica was focusing on her chicken meat as she pressed her scalper on the chicken meat.

"I like you"

Upon hearing the sentence, Jessica accidentally used her full force and split the chicken meat into 2 parts. 

"," Jessica muttered. 

"Jessica Jung!" Their teacher screamed. 

"Look, we can't," Jessica looked away as she said those words to Tiffany. 

Year 3 : 
"The sun's glaring at me!" Jessica scowled.

"Miss, we're here for a run. How can the sun not be glaring at you when it's in the morning?" Tiffany scoffed. 

As they started jogging, Tiffany suddenly said," Jessica, I really like you a lot." 

That was when Jessica tripped her own foot and fell. 

"You okay?" Tiffany bent down and scoped Jessica up in a bridal style. 

"Look, we're too immature for stuffs like this," Jessica spoke as she was in Tiffany's arm. 

"Got it," Tears of disappointment glittered in Tiffany's eyes. 

END OF FLASH BACK

“Jess,” Tiffany snapped her fingers as both of them walked out of the restaurant.

“Y… yeah?” Jessica looked out of sorts.

“Are you okay?” Tiffany placed her palm onto Jessica’s forehead.

“Yeah, I’m fine. Must you leave tomorrow?” Jessica sounded sad as she asked Tiffany.

“Yes I do have to leave. I’ve got my tickets booked,” Tiffany said as she patted Jessica’s head while her tight lipped smile.

“Yeah, I guess tonight will be the very last time we get to hang out then,” Jessica sighed.

“Well, I can always sponsor you a ticket to fly here, can’t I?” Tiffany said as the pair took a stroll towards the park.

“Jessica, stop being moody, will you? I’m just leaving to America, it’s not as if I’m leaving to South Pole or anywhere.”

“Easier to be said than to be done.”

The walk back to Jessica’s apartment was unusually quiet but Tiffany kept trying to come out with different topics to continue their conversation. Unfortunately, she’d failed.

“So… I shall bid goodbye here then?” Tiffany patted Jessica’s head.

“What time will your flight be for tomorrow?” Jessica questioned.

“It’s at 6 am. Why ask?” Tiffany creased her eyebrow.

“So that I can send you a text at 5.59am to make sure you’ll receive my text,” Jessica smiled slightly.

“Good, I like your smile. Keep smiling this way okay. I’ve got to go home now, goodnight Jess,” Tiffany bid goodbye as she slowly walked down the streets.

“Goodnight… love,” Jessica mumbled at the last part that It was almost inaudible.

“Uggggfffff, I’m coming,” Tiffany rubbed her eyes as she dragged her feet to approach her door. She’d just managed to sleep for half an hour before the knocking on her door sounded out loud.

“What?” Tiffany flung open her front door to welcome that person who was knocking on her door.

“Jessica?” Tiffany’s eyes widened and slowly turned into two crescents, “what are you doing here in this hour?”

“I love you, so can you not leave?” Jessica spoke as her cheeks were slightly flushed red.

“Come again?” Tiffany’s jaw dropped, she couldn’t believe what she had just heard. Her ears must be playing tricks on her.

“I said I love you, so can you not leave?” Jessica said as she suddenly bent forward to kiss Tiffany.

“You got me,” Tiffany smiled as she pulled Jessica for an embrace.
