Chapter 15:

Narrator’s PoV

Han Shin Hospital

Taeyeon was already discharged. She was able to return on their recordings and tv guestings. No one ever knew that she got sick.

Taeyeon together with the rest of the SNSD girls were at the main entrance on SMent building. They were about to enter the building with lots of crowd around them. Good thing the security level in SM is tight!

They were already inside the building. Taeyeon was busy texting her mom on her phone while walking that’s why she wasn’t able to see that Joo was standing in front of her.

“Oh… Annyeong Joo!” SooYoung greeted.

Joo smiled, “Hi!”

Taeyeon looked up after hearing SooYoung’s greetings. Joo is here??

“You’re Kim Taeyeon right?” Joo asked after Sooyoung and the rest of the girls went away. Taeyeon was left in front of Joo because Taeyeon was too overwhelmed that Joo was there.

Taeyeon searched for her girls but they were away already. “Neh! You’re Joo! Nice meeting you!” she said as she bowed in front of her.

Joo rolled her eyes without letting Taeyeon notice it, “Come with me..” she pulled Taeyeon towards a crowd less area. Taeyeon was surprised because she was being pulled by Joo like she was about to kill her.

“Wae?” Taeyeon asked when they were standing already.

Joo smirked, “First of all, it’s not nice to meet you… second… What are you doing to Leeteuk oppa??? He’s been acting weird lately!”

“Bwoh?!” Taeyeon asked pissed. “What are you talking about? Yah! You’re not on your territory so watch your manners! Do you know proper etiquette? How dare you pull me like that?”

“Tsk!” She exclaimed. “Just answer my question!”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about…” Taeyeon replied.

“Aish! Look at you acting like there’s nothing happening!” Joo said. “Oppa has been acting weird lately. Promotions and stuffs. He has been so unlively and has been very serious. He was not like that before!”

“I really don’t know what’s happening…” Taeyeon said staring at her. “You’re always with him right? You should know that! Maybe you’re the reason why he’s acting that way! just like what you said, he wasn’t like that before… before when he doesn’t know you yet!” she added with much anger in her voice.

“Yah!” Joo yelled. Some people walking stared at Joo with an irritated expression. How dare her yell like that to our talent? One passerby thought.

Joo cleared when she noticed that people were staring at her already. Taeyeon smirked a bit and was still staring at Joo. “Don’t you ever say that again! You remember this! You don’t stand a chance to him!”

Joo walked away and Taeyeon was left in that area. If a while ago she was so strong looking, right now, she became a weak Kim Taeyeon. Her eyes started to cloud and so she ran as fast as she could to reach the restroom. Onew saw Taeyeon in a teary situation. He grabbed her arm and said “What Happened to you?!”

Taeyeon hugged Onew tightly and there she cried. Onew was surprised that Taeyeon was hugging him. Omo! This was the first time! What’s wrong?! Onew thought.

“Taey… what happened???” Onew asked worriedly. He was stiff… so stiff that he was almost speechless. He liked Taeyeon for quite some time already…

“I can’t take it no more~” Taeyeon cried trying to hide her face in Onew’s chest. Onew hugged Taeyeon tightly just to comfort her…

“Shhhh!” Onew patted her back… “Calm down… calm down a bit so you could talk to me… explain why you’re crying…”

“N-Neh~” Taeyeon said still crying.

“Or do you want me to call the girls?” Onew asked.

“Ani! I don’t want them to see me crying again…” Taeyeon said without breaking the hug.

“Wow Taey… this was the longest hug we ever had!” Onew teased.

Taeyeon giggled and finally breaked away. “Yah! You’re really counting it huh?”

“Yes!” Onew teased with a very wide grin. “Seee~ I made you smile again!”

Taeyeon laughed, “You always do! Except…”

“There’s an exception?!” Onew asked while holding both of Taeyeon arm.

“Neh~” Taeyeon said as she removed her arm from Onew’s hands and wiped her tears. “Except when you battle with me in eating chicken!”

“Ehhh~” Onew exclaimed. “You know that I love chickens!”

Taeyeon laughed once again. “I know!”

“AIgooo!” Onew said, “Going back… why were you crying?”

The two walked towards a bench and sat.

“Nothing…” Taeyeon forced a smile.

“You’re such a liar!” Onew teased. “There’s a reason. I know you…”

“It’s really nothing! You just might find it nonsense!” Taey replied.

“Psh! Since when did a part of you became a nonsense to me??” Onew said lightly without looking at Taeyeon.

Taeyeon smiled. You really do care for me... she thought. “I just realized that there are really lots of hindrances in love…”

Onew smiled. “Yes… you’re right…”. “But I don’t think that that’s the only reason why you were crying…”

Taeyeon laughd once more. “You really know me that much!”

“Of course!” Onew thought. “You could never lie to me anymore! Wahhahaha!”

Taeyeon giggled. “Arasso…” she took a deep breath and said, “I think that there are lots of people who think that my love for Taeukie is a nonsense…an unrequited love… even the person that I love thinks that this love is weird and is a nonsense… even him.”

Onew just stared at Taeyeon. “What are you saying? Who are those ‘them’?”

Taeyeon smiled, “Joo, SooMan appoji and Leeteuk himself…”. “Actually Onew… I’ll be honest with you… I hope you will understand. I know you will… I am fine whether or not SooMan appoji and Joo likes my love for Teukie… I am fine if they won’t agree or will think of it as nonesne. I just couldn’t take that Leeteuk himself find this love as a nonsense. The fact that sooman and joo hates it, I am fine. But the fact that Teukie finds it weird. It makes me sooo hurt.”

Onew took a deep breath. “Well that’s how love is… the person that you don’t like likes you but the person that you like does not like you…”

Taeyeon smiled, “Neh… having tons of admirer is useless when the person that you love can’t love you back…”

You really love Leeteuk that much… Onew thought.

“Yah Taeyeonnie! Wanna hear a joke??” Onew cracked immediately and stood up just to ease the tension.

Taeyeon smiled, she stood up and just gave Onew a very tight hug. Once again, Onew was so stiff and too overwhelmed with the hug.

“Yah… I am asking if you want a joke not a hug!” he teased.

Tayeeon giggled lightly, “I know… I want to give you one!”. “You always make me happy~ Thank you for that! I am so lucky to have a bestfriend like you!”

Onew smiled as he hugged Taeyeon back, “I told you that I will always be by your side…”

Unkown to the two… Leeteuk was there and was hearing the whole conversation. He was inside the male’s restroom when Taeyeon was caught by Onew. Actually, Leeteuk saw Taeyeon crying at first. He was about to stop her too but Onew popped out from no where.

He was angered by the sight of Taeyeong hugging Onew for the longest time. A tight hug… he may not admit it but he was jealous of how Taeyeon hid her face on Onew’s chest. He was jealous with how Taeyeon smiled because of Onew.

I knew Taeyeon would be better if he’s with Onew. He could make her smile… and he never made her cry!Leeteuk thought with his brown aligned and fist clenching together.

The way Taeyeon hugged Onew envied Leeteuk. The way Taeyeon spoke those words made Leeteuk surprised that she could say those words. He was dumbfounded especially of the final words of wisdom … “having tons of admirer is useless when the person that you love can’t love you back…”

She’s so mature… but, I know for one that I am not suited for her. Onew’s there… he’s better than me…Leeteuk thought while he was washing his face with water.
