Chapter 5
Honey PotCHAPTER 5
[Kwon-Jung Residence]
“Oh my God, Tiffany?! What are you doing here?” Jessica said as she closed the door behind her.
“You’re not letting me in? How mean!” Tiffany playfully uttered; unleashing her infamous eye-smiles.
“I…um…well…Yuri’s inside.” The blonde girl hesitated.
"Oh..." Tiffany’s expression changed. Guilt is written all over it. “You guys are living together now?
“Yeah…It’s just been a year.”
“I see. That’s great!” She put on her smiley face.
“Um, let’s go to the back, shall we?” Jessica led her bestfriend to the porch behind the house.
They both sat on a white bench. Neither of the girls is saying anything. They remained silent for a good few minutes. Tiffany studied her bestfriend’s features. It’s been so long. Too long~
“Look, Jessi…” She stopped talking when she felt Jessica’s arm pulled her for a tight hug.
“Yah! How dare you just showing up like this after all these years. You just left!! Don’t you miss me even one bit?! Do you know how much I missed talking to you?! Do you?!” Jessica choked on her words.
“Of course I miss you, silly. How could I not~” Tiffany tightened the hug.
Jessica eventually leaned back from the embrace and wiped her tears. She looked intensely at her bestfriend’s eyes, and…WHACK!!
“Ow! What was that for?!” Tiffany brushed her arms.
“THAT is for leaving me without saying a thing…and THIS…” WHACK!! Jessica smacked her again at the same spot. “…is for changing your number and not telling me.”
“Fine…fine..fine…hit me all you want. I’m just glad to see my Jessi again.” Tiffany chuckled.
Jessica smirked. “So, how come you’re in Korea? Are you back for good?”
“Um…I’m afraid that’s not the case. You see, I’ve been assigned here for a few months. There’s this mission and we need help from our Korea’s team to solve it.”
“Korea’s division?! So…that means you’re going to see her again. Am I right?” Jessica slowed down her voice.
Tiffany looks down. “That IS possible; if she’s also work on this task~”
“Are you kidding? She’s the best agent in the agency. I bet she’ll be on this mission too. Are…are you going to be okay with that?” Jessica carefully asked.
The black-haired didn’t reply. Her feet played with the sand on the ground instead. Still looking down, she timidly whispered. “How is she?”
Jessica took a moment before respond. “I’m not gonna lie, Tiff. She was a mess when you left. But…I guess…time heals, you know? Now…she seems alright.”
A drop of tear fell onto the floor. It killed her knowing that she had hurt the person she loved most. “Good…and how’s Yuri? Is she…is she still mad at me?”
Jessica didn’t know what to say. Tiffany probably already knows the answer to that question, anyway. “Yah---Stop talking about the past. Come on. I want to know
