CHAPTER 11

[Headquarters – Seohyun’s Desk]


Seohyun closed the files she was reading earlier. She couldn’t concentrate. Her eyes were on the words, but her mind was wandering somewhere else. The young handler leaned back to her seat, and gazed straight inside Director Kim’s office.

Taeyeon, Yoona and Tiffany were in a serious discussion. Probably regarding the Wesley’s case. Yoona was recently chosen by Taeyeon to be Tiffany’s assistant in the mission. Seohyun watched those three mumbling their lips in their conversation. Her eyes then fixed to a certain doe-eyed girl. She unconsciously studied Yoona’s features. Her charming doe-eyes, her nose, her fair skin, her lips. Aah, the lips~

Ever since their little rendezvous after the party days ago, both Seohyun and Yoona didn’t really do anything about it. It was not like they didn’t want to, but since that day, the agency received a bunch of information on the Charles Wesley’s case. Thus, it has made Yoona a little busier than usual. Yes, they exchanged text messages every now and then, but that was it.

Seohyun kept her dreamy gaze on Yoona and sighed deeply.

“Still thinking about her, huh?” A voice cracked Seohyun’s trance.

“Huh?!” Seohyun looked around and found someone was watching her from the other cubicle. She chuckled a bit. “Oh, Hyoyeon unnie! I didn’t see you there~”

“Of course you don’t, honey.” Hyoyeon let out a naughty smile. “You haven’t answered my question, kid.”

“What question?” Seohyun innocently asked.

Hyoyeon replied by raising one of her brows.

“Who? Yoona?! Pshh…Nooooo…I’m not thinking about her. Why should I think about her? Of course I was thinking earlier, that’s what brains do. But not about her. Definitely not HER.” Seohyun hastily said, as she tried to sound as normal as possible.

“Riiiiiiightt~~” Hyoyeon still stared at the younger girl.

Seohyun looked at Hyoyeon’s expressionless face. She understood on what the older girl meant. Seohyun face palmed on the desk and pouted. “Aish…I don’t know what to do, unnie. She’s ALWAYS on my mind. I can’t eat, I can’t sleep. I see her EVERYWHERE! I don’t know what’s happening to me~”

“You like her.” Hyoyeon simply stated.

Seohyun took a short pause. “I guess, I do. I really do. But…I don’t know if she feels the same way.”

“Then find it out for yourself.”

“Huh?”

Hyoyeon sighed. “Look, I’m not that close to Yoona, but it kinda obvious to me that she likes you too. Maybe you should act first. Let her know that you are into her.”

“But…I already kissed her.” Seohyun naively explained. She couldn’t hide her blush upon remembering that special night.

“Really?! On the lips?” Hyoyeon was getting a little bit excited.

“Uh…on her cheek. It was a goodnight kiss~”

Hyoyeon frowned. “That’s it?! You’re saying that the little kiss showed that you like her?? You see…That’s your problem. You’re too innocent. You need to be a little aggressive once in a while.”

“What do you mean, unnie?”

“My sweet little naïve Seohyun~” Hyoyeon patted the younger girl’s back. “If you want what the two of you have now to progress, you need to move fast. Show her a bit of your wild side. Make her realize that she wants you too.” The older girl gave a mischievous smirk.

Interesting. “How would I do that?” Seohyun couldn’t cover her excitement to hear the answer.

“. Flirt with her a little. Guys LOVE that!”

Seohyun scratched the back of her neck before quietly spoke. “But…Yoona’s a girl, unnie.”

“Aah…” Hyoyeon took a short pause before shook her head. “It doesn’t matter. NOBODY could resist a little teaser here and there. It’ll drive them crazy.” She winked to the younger handler.

“I…I don’t know. Flirting? Me?! I’m not used to any of that.”

“Hey…hey. I’m not saying that you have to change 360. Don’t give her a ****ty kind of flirt! Just an innocent one will do. So…you’re up for it?”

Seohyun gave a hesitated look. “There’s one more problem.”

“What?”

“Fany unnie~” Seohyun softly said.

“What about her?”

“Well, now that she’s back, don’t you think that they would…you know…think of getting back together?”

“Did Yoona say anything about them getting back together?”

“Well, no…but…their history…I can’t compete with that~”

“There you go. Tiffany IS her past, Seohyun. I bet if Yoona really want to, they probably would already be together again by now. But they’re not, right?”

“No…but I can feel that Fany unnie still loves her~”

“So? That’s her problem. As long as they are not a couple, you have all the right to make a move on Yoona.”

“I know, but…”

Sigh. “Do you really want her?!” Hyoyeon suddenly asked.

Seohyun turned her face towards Yoona’s position inside the office. She slowly nodded.

“Do you want her to be your girlfriend?!”

“Y-Yes~”

“Then do exactly what I said! Fight for her!” Hyoyeon stood up from her chair. “You can thank me later~” She gave a naughty wink and went off to the pantry.

Seohyun just watched her fellow handler. She turned to look at Yoona again. The doe-eyed agent was laughing to something funny. Seohyun unconsciously let out a little smile upon looking at the cute deer. She bit her lower lip. Should I do it, Yoona?

“So are you really sure about the information we got?” Tiffany asked.

“I already asked Agent Shin to look it up. And yes, it seemed like Park is the one that we are looking for.” Taeyeon explained.

“Pfft, I can’t believe we didn’t realize it before. He’s right in front of our eyes!” Yoona suddenly blurted.

“Well, he’s a big name in Korea. I don’t think any of us would think that he’s actually a part of this.” The young director stated.

“So, what now? You want us to move tonight?” Tiffany raised her brows.

“That’s the idea. Tonight will be the greatest chance we could ever get to take him in. What do you think, Yoong?”

“Well, I agree. It’s now or never. But we really need to be discreet about this. We wouldn’t want to make a scene since many reporters will be at the event too.”

Taeyeon and Tiffany nodded at Yoona’s suggestion.

“By the way, Fany. Any news about Sooyoung?” Yoona turned to the black-haired agent.

“I just got in touch with my boss this morning. Sooyoung’s condition is still stable, but even the doctor said that anything can happen to her. I just hope that we can get the antidote before it’s too late.”

“We will~” Yoona looked down; worried about her close friend.

Taeyeon hold the doe-eyes shoulder to console her. “Well, we should have a briefing later. Let’s have lunch first, shall we?”

“Sure~” Tiffany simply replied.

“I’ll get Seohyun then.” Yoona stood up and left the office. Tiffany eyed her every move. She let out a dreamy smile instinctively.

“Yah! You look like a stupid high school student who is obsessed with her crush, you know that?” Taeyeon suddenly shouted.

Tiffany couldn’t help but laughed at the ridiculous comment. “So, what? Maybe I am~”

“Keke~ So, how the things going on between the two of you?” Taeyeon asked.

Tiffany her own cheek. “Hm, okay I guess. She’s beginning to open up to me more and more each day. We are getting closer like we used to be.”

“I’m really glad to hear that. That’s really good to know. Um, what about…you know…romantically?”

Tiffany took a short pause. “Romantically? Uh, I don’t really have the answer to that.”

“Eh? What do you mean?” Taeyeon frowned.

“Well, things are going great between me and Yoona. We had some friendly dinners a few times now. I don’t to ruin what we have by talking about…you know…us.”

“But you STILL have feelings for her, right?”

“Yeah, obviously. But, I think I should take things slow. I want her to naturally fall for me again, rather than feel that she has to because of our past. The love is still there, Taeyeon. Yoona just need something to trigger it all over again.” Tiffany optimistically explained.

Taeyeon played with her chin. “Hm, what if Yoona falls for another person?”

“Yah!” Tiffany smacked the midget’s arm. “Then I will personally kill that girl myself!” Tiffany raised her voice while giving a playful smile.

“Yeaaahh, riiiight!!” Taeyeon sniggered at the last remark.

[Restaurant]

“Want some of this, unnie?” Yoona offered her fries to Taeyeon.

“Sure~” The young director put her plate close to Yoona’s.

“I still can’t believe that you ordered burger for lunch.” Tiffany giggled.

“What? It’s been forever since the last time I had one. Besides, I’m not like you, Fany. I don’t have to starve myself to get a slim body.” Yoona playfully winked to the girl beside her.

Tiffany pouted and sticks her tongue out like a kid to the doe-eyes.

Yoona chuckled and held Tiffany’s hand on the table. “Awww, I’m just kidding. You know you’re y, right?” She gave a charming smile that made the latter girl’s cheeks reddened like a tomato.

Seohyun watched the whole scene from her seat. She already knew the fact that Yoona and Tiffany were getting closer, but she couldn’t help but wished that she could play the role of Tiffany. She wanted to be held. She wanted Yoona to call her y.

The young handler was still watching the two girls playing with each other when she caught something on the doe-eyed girl’s lips. There was a bit of mayonnaise at the corner of it. Must be from the burger. She suddenly remembered what Hyoyeon was saying earlier about the teasing and making the first move. Oh my God, this is my chance! Should I?!

“Uh, Yoona?” Seohyun was still contemplating to make a move.

“Hm?” Yoona turned her attention to the voice.

Here goes. You can do it, Seo Juhyun. Be confident!! “You got something on your…” With that, she stood a bit from her chair and leaned closer to Yoona. She softly wiped the mayonnaise with her thumb and later it seductively. “There you go~”

Yoona and the other girls on the table were quite shocked with the sudden action. Yoona couldn’t help to think that what happened earlier was so hot. She nervously smiled. “Uh…thanks~”
