The air that the train under the subway expelled blew my hair in an eastward direction.As I was trying to move my hair away from my face,I was also trying to locate the school on my map.

“_____ st  _____ st”I chanted to myself looking around in all directions trying to locate the street.

All I had to do to reach the location was take a right at the next block and then a left and then another left. The trains let out another gush of air this time stronger making my plaid skirt fly up but I was lucky enough to hold it down.Thank goodness my hands were free at that time.

As I looked up from my map I saw Luhan running trying to grab a piece of paper in the air.

“Oh Luhan you’re still here?”I said awkwardly.

He scratched the back of his neck”Oh I just went to um-um buy this,”.He took out a piece of gum and sheepishly smiled then ran off like he was in a hurry.

I checked the time on my watch and we still had 26 minutes before school would start.Maybe he was really excited about the first day.

The red man disappeared and the green man came ready to lead me across the road safely.I knew Iwas nearing to the school when I saw a bunch of students wearing the Hyundai uniform join my route.Wow they all look like people from wealthy families,well of course since this area has a good reputation for that.

There were a lot of students on the pathway so I decided to take a different route which consisted of a dark alley way.The alley way seemed less scarier since the sun was up.I felt tracks following me even though I was all alone so I would regularly check my back for any perevert or killer.

There were pieces of trash littered around the alley way which caused loud noises when stepped on and from that moment I was sure someone was following me.Quickly I turned around and clenched my firsts”Get away!”

I covered my mouth as soon as I saw Luhan in front of me.He also looked at me shocked with wide eyes.

I bowed awkwardly”I’m sorry,I thought that-,”

He scratched his head again”No,no I’m sorry I made you think that way.I wouldn’t blame you and I was following you if you were wondering,”

I turned my face away from him to hide my smile.Following me?Does that mean he likes me?

“You know you shouldn’t be taking this way,it’s dangerous especially when you go home.Looking at all the broken soju bottles scattered around this alley way is a nutshell of drunkards,”

He’s thinking about me!About my safety.

“Anyway I won’t be following you anymore since I know the route to school thanks to you.I lost my map on the way and don’t take this way anymore,”Luhan said pointing at the building in front of us.

I nodded quite disappointingly and just gazed at the amazing architecture in front of me.You finally made it here Chorong.After days and nights of studying and all-nighters,you’re finally here.

3 deep breaths before taking a step into this new milestone in life.New school,new rules.Can I survive the first day?

The bell rang and I walked slowly to the classroom observing the environment around me.I peeked my head into my classroom and saw a calm classroom filled with many fresh faces ready for the year.It was really different from Middle school where the class was unorganized and into groups doing all sorts of stuff;makeup,phone,Nintendo,gossip and the list goes on.

The teacher wearing circular spectacles gave me a warm smile”New student your name is?”

“Park Chorong,”I said shyly but meeting the teacher’s eyes.

She ticked something in her book”Please just take any seat and I’ll give you arranged seating later when all students have arrived,”
I bowed and smiled”thank you,”

She poked her head to the side”And you are sir?”

“Hello I’m Luhan,”

“Just Luhan?”

“Yeah,”he replied awkwardly.

“Oh,unique name.You must not be from around here,”

I think I sorta jumped on the inside.Same class.Somehow a weight has been lifted off my shoulders but high school will just keep rearing up weights right?How will I cope with all this pressure that just keep coming and coming?

I took a seat in top right of the front row whilst Luhan took the opposite which was the left of the back row.I sighed and placed my hand under my chin.

“Yeah,”I replied awkwardly.

I pressed my lips into a thin line and nodded.Chorong was in front of me and to be honest I was glad she was there in the same class with me.The aura of the class seemed to have lightened up well it seemed to me.Maybe since it was nearing to Summer.

I watched Chorong from the corner of my eyes take a seat in the front row and my lips curved down.I walked down the middle of the tables and took the left seat at the back row.Can’t she remember?I’m long sighted.
