The girls arrived at Baekhyun's house not long after. Yubin quickly jumped out and started making her way toward the house but then noticed that Yumi hadn't even stepped out of the car yet. She sighed but went back to pull her friend out of the car as gently as she possibly could. "Come on, no one's gonna bite you," Yubin giggled.

Yumi could only muster a tiny smile but didn't reply to her best friend. Her stomach felt really light and her palms were starting to sweat.

Both girls walked around to the front and entered without knocking on the door, which was suprisingly unlocked.

Once they were inside they made their way into the living room to find it half empty, with only a couple Exo and Bangtan members lying around on the couches and floors. Sehun was still in the same place the girls had last seen him when they left earlier that morning. Poor boy was knocked out cold.

"Oh hey, there you girls are. I was wondering were you two disappeared off too," Baekhyun walked out of the kitchen with his usual bright smile. "Hey oppa, we came to get Sehun but it looks like hes still knocked out," Yubin explained.

"Yeah, I don't know if you know this or not but he's a pretty light drinker," Baekhyun chuckled. "But hey since you two are here, you wanna help me barbque out back?"

"Sure!" Both girls agreed enthusiastically. Yumi loved cooking so she made her way into the kitchen to perpare all the side dishes, rice, and whatever else they could eat along with the barbqued meat.

While she did that, Baekhyun and Yubin went out into the back where two other guys were already standing grilling the meat. "Yubinie this is Kris and Xiumin, they were at the party last night but I don't think you got to meet them," Baekhyun introduced.

"Annyeonghaseyo," Yubin bowed slightly. The one Baekhyun pointed out as Kris only nodded slightly while Xiumin gave her a small smile before focusing on the meat.

The four of them started a conversation as they continued to grill the meat and pretty soon some of the people in the house started waking up.

Yumi was chopping up different vegetables as she hummed a tune to herself. She was so immersed in what she was doing that she didn't notice someone walk into the kitchen. It wasn't until that person slammed the refrigerator door shut did she jump in fright and turn around to see V.

He stood with his arms crossed, back against the counter as he drank his water and glared at Yumi.  But his glare immediately turned into concern as he saw Yumi clutch her index finger in her hand as blood oozed out. 

The sudden shock had caused her to cut her finger and blood kept seeping out. Before Yumi could react though, she felt herself being pulled over to the sink and then suddenly her hand was stuck under the faucet as water ran over her cut.

Her eyes followed the hand that held hers firmly up until she was staring closely at V's face. He had a slight frown on his face but there was nothing but worry written all over. His lips were even turned down in a pout Yumi couldn't help but think was cute.

Wait! What the heck are you thinking Yumi! This is V, the guy that hates you remember.... But if he really hates me then why is he trying to help me now? Why does he look like he really cares? Yumi stared at his face as she was in deep thought. Confused on what was going on at the moment. Actually confusion was something she was feeling a lot of lately. Were boys always this confusing?!

After V cleaned her cut he wrapped a small towel around it and put light pressure on her finger to stop the bleeding,"sit." He pushed her down into a chair as he dug through the drawers in the kitchen. 

Yumi was still in a daze so she could only sit still and watch V as he quickly looked through the kitchen for something.

With a bandaid in hand, he walked back to Yumi and kneeled in front of her as he took her hand gently in his and pulled the towel away and examined her finger to make sure it wasn't bleeding as much anymore. He carefully wrapped the bandaid around her little finger than did the last thing Yumi ever expected. He smiled in content before kissing her finger lightly.

Yumi's eyes widened as she pulled her hand away from him. "Wh-what are you doing?" She couldn't control her voice from quivering and her question came out as a whisper. 

V could only stare back into her eyes. He wasn't sure what got into him. One minute he was annoyed at seeing her standing in his kitchen cooking, probably for Jimin, the next he's worried about her, and then the next he's happy he could help her! In truth it made sense, but with lies it was only confusing.

"Uh-I was... you should be more careful when your handling a knife!" He jumped to his feet and yelled at the poor unsuspecting girl. 

Yumi was taken back by his, again, sudden mood swing. Really, what was it with this boy?!

"I was but you scared me!" She yelled back as she too jumped up from the chair. "Well why are you in my kitchen anyway?!" 

"I was cooking so everyone could eat! Isn't it obvious!?" 

"Psh.. Everyone? Or Jimin?" V crossed his arms as he squinted his eyes at her. At this remark Yumi only threw her hands in the air before exhaling sharply, "forget it!" 

V could only roll his eyes at her response. He thought he was right about the Jimin part. He smirked and was about to say so outloud when he heard Yumi mumbling," why'd you even bother if you hate me so much?"

Her head was down as she faced the ground with a look of defeat on her face. V's heart felt like someone squeezed it tightly. For a second he stopped breathing and just stared at the girl he secretly loved. Why do I always end up hurting her?

"Honestly... I don't hate you," V felt like he could breathe again after saying that. 

Yumi's head shot up as she stared with wide eyes at V. Again, she was confused and shocked but she was also curious. V could see all these emotions written across her face but only chuckled as he shook his head at her cute expression. He remembered though that he wasn't the one she wanted and sighed.

Yumi could see the sadness and disappointment he was feeling and wanted to know why, but she wasn't sure if she should ask. 

In the end she decided not to pry and asked a different question instead," would you like to help me with the food?"

It was V's turn to be shocked. He looked up to see her smiling at him and again he felt the tightening in his chest. How can she still be so nice after how mean I was to her? He thought to himself.

V fought the smile that wanted to break out across his face as he nodded his head and said sure with the straightest expression he could come up with. Yumi could see past his facade now that he opened up a little though and she couldn't help but giggle.

"What?" V frowned but kept his eyes focused on the vegetable he was trying to cutt. "It's okay to smile when you want to you know," Yumi explained.

V continued to try and play it off," what are you talking bout? How do you know if I wanna smile or not?"

"I can see it in your eyes Taehyung."

Hearing those words caused V to freeze as he stared at Yumi's side profile. She was smiling softly as she continued to carefully prepare the food in front of her. The sun that shone through the kitchen window seemed to illuminate her features. She was practically glowing.

Yumi-ah.. please stop doing this to me.
