"Are you tired?" Kai asked Ae Sook as she stayed silent, just leaning on Kai's lap. She smiled a small smile, then nodded a bit, making Kai feel worried as he held her hands tighter; he leaned onto the headboard to let her adjust, moving closer to his lap to relax more. Kai then added, worry still left in his voice, "You seem to feel tired these past few days." Though Ae Sook didn't want to tell him her body was growing weaker day by day, she still managed to let out a small laugh, earning a sad remark from him, "What's wrong? Are you sick? Why didn't you tell me; we could've stopped practicing. Please don't laugh, it's not funny, you know..." He frowned, but hearing his voice break like that, she sat up slowly, turning her body a little just to see his face.

She then smiled. It felt great that he cared. It really did. Ae Sook didn't expect him to even pay any attention to her, but hearing his voice break, seeing his concerned expression, and now meeting his downcasted, worried eyes that seemed to make him look like he was going to cry because he was just that worried, she couldn't help but smile.

Does he really care?

Without minding what Ae Sook would do, Kai let his back separate from the headboard, just to lean in and whisper to her slowly with his low voice, "Don't get me worried..." His breath reached her face and she couldn’t help but shudder; the close proximity was too much for her to handle, and the fact that he was just inches away from her face, her lips, she couldn’t help but think that this was just too good to be true. He furrowed his eyebrows as he looked serious, but his gentle eyes said that he cared, and Ae Sook could've sworn she would melt right there and then. Kai held onto her hands tighter, caressing the back of her hands as he said, low and clear, "Do you want me to leave so that you can rest here in my room? I can just stay downstairs and-"

"-No, stay!" Ae Sook said all too suddenly, surprising Kai as she did to herself as well, but she then continued, a bit softer this time but much serious, "No, stay. Stay with me.” Ae Sook thought for a second that she sounded like she was ordering him, but that didn’t matter for now. Nothing mattered right now; nothing matters when you’re there desperate for someone’s touch. She needed him, and she needed his warm touch. “Please stay, Kai. Please."

She didn't know if that was begging or not, but all she knew was that she wanted him to stay with her. She felt too weak to function already, so having Kai there with her to make her smile was the best option.

Kai's eyes settled, showing that gentle expression once more as he showed her his signature smile; his charming one. "Okay. I'll stay. For you." He then placed her hands onto his neck and wrapped them around, just as he leaned in and kissed her cheek with much care.

She closed her eyes and let the feeling sink in, slowly, as she had never felt this weird sensation ever in her life, in the pit of her stomach; it felt good. And it felt good when Kai kissed her like that. It made her feel complete in a way, no problems and no worries, but just him and her, all alone, as he kissed her with much care. That feeling when Kai is just too gentle with her drowned her slowly, as she continued to feel the sweet sensation of him kissing her cheek, letting a few seconds pass by as he kissed the other as well, not forgetting that the other cheek needed attention too, and that made her blush and giggle halfway as she slowly, but gently, kissed him as well, letting go of her fear little by little.

Kai smiled in between those small kisses he had planted all over her face, but making sure he would give her the equal amount of attention in her body, he carried her petite frame onto his lap, beaming as she looked just as contented as he was. Bringing his arms around her waist, he said, "Wanna take a break from the script for awhile and do something fun?" 

Still high from all the fluff he had given her, she nodded with dazed eyes and a little giggle once again. "Why not?" she answered. Repaying him, Ae Sook brought her lips to his cheek and pecked him, earning a soft chuckle. Hoping Kai would stop drugging her with all the sweetness he was feeding her, Kai had only embraced her more in his arms as she hugged him one more time before she reminded him, "What was it you were talking about?"

"Oh, yeah, wait a sec," his eyes shimmered as he gently shuffled and went out of the room, but a minute later, he came back with some papers, waving it as he smiled smugly, leaning against the door frame.

"Wanna check what these are?"

Her eyes, mirroring his, were glistening with curiosity as well, at the same time, sparkling with much intrigue and as of that moment, she looked like a baby wanting to know what present she had received in Christmas. Not a second later, she scrambled up and ran straight to the door. Since Kai had placed the papers above his head, up in the air, she immediately gasped, jumping up and down as she wanted to know what it was all about. "Come on, show me~ This is so unfair. You know I'm shorter than you. Don't tease me!" Though she had said that as if she was practically whining and shouting at him, she let out soft giggles as he had that big grin plastered onto his face, enjoying all the attention he was getting.

"I won't show you if you won't hug me," he frowned once more, tilting his head to the side, adding that effect to make him more cute, though he already was, but he knew Ae Sook couldn't take it if he did his "aegyo."
