Until I Met You

Description

Everyone seemed to believe that Kim Sang Hee lived the perfect life. Well, who wouldn't?
She's got the coolest older brother, and an adorable little sister.
She's got a ton of boys drooling over her and an equal amount of girls envying her.
Her grades are one of the highest in the class.
Basically everyone wanted to be friends with her because of how amazing she was.

BUT..

Kim Sang Hee's life wasn't perfect. It wasn't a fairytale. Her parents were murdered when she was nine. Everyday after school she has to work until 7 o'clock at night. After work, she's exhausted, but she still has to cook something for dinner for her younger sister to eat since Kai couldn't come home from work until 11PM. Then she starts on her homework and studies for whatever test or exam she may have the next day. Her life was far from perfect, but she had her siblings which was one of the things holding her together. She often thought about how her life would be if she weren't so busy. Would she have a chance to go out and have fun, relax and not do any work, or even experience love?

Foreword

Everyone at school knew Kim Sang Hee to be the "perfect" girl living a "perfect" life.

Since she had the looks, excelled in her studies, was well liked by everyone, and had great siblings, people believed that she had such a great and easy life.

Girls wanted to be her. Boys wanted to be with her.

What they didn't know was that her life outside of school wasn't perfect.

When she was barely eleven years old, she had witnessed the heartless murder of both her parents with her older brother Jongin, better known as Kai. Her younger sister, Hae Won, was only two at the time so she couldn't remember a thing. Her parents had owed the loan sharks money, and since they couldn't pay in time, they were killed mercilessly. After killing them, they drove off leaving Kai, Sang Hee, and Hae Won themselves on the streets.

Kai knew that his father's old friend was a landlord of an apartment building and led his two sisters there. He had explained what had happened to their parents and begged the landlord to allow them to stay in an apartment and provide food for them without cost since they weren't old enough to work or buy anything. The landlord was hesitant, but out of pity decided to compromise with Kai that he would have to work for him until he was old enough to get a job for himself and pay the loans. Overjoyed that he had found a place to stay that provided food for himself and his two sisters, he immediately agreed.

Kai was now a senior in high school, Sang Hee was a sophmore, and Hae Won was in first grade. Since they both had to work every night and had school five days a week, it wasn't exactly easy to juggle school and work together. Then again, were their lives truly ever easy?
