“So by this expansion, we can get the approximately 40% tourism growth that is expected every summer. What do you think Ms.Jessica?” Onew one of the project head of the new Jung Water Resort and casino asked after the presentation with the board members.

 

Jessica didn’t hear the question, she also failed to notice the eyes that were looking at her waiting for her response. She just blankly looks at no particular subject.   “Eherm…” Mr. Jung cleared his throat to gain the attention of his daughter but she remains still. “Princess”  he hold his daughters hand, which made the girl jumped off her seat.   “D-Dad..” Jessica looked at his father; she closed her eyes and apologizes when she figured that the presentation was already over.   Mr. Jung ordered the rest to leave them and have the meeting continued some other time. He worriedly looking at his only daughter who was still embarrassed by the incident, lately he noticed that Jessica has been spacing out a lot more than she used to… she looks paler and a lot thinner as well.   “Are you okay?” Mr. Jung asked concerned.   “Yes dad… I’m just… I have lot in my mind lately dad. I’m sorry.” Jessica looks down.   “Jessica you should rest.. I’m worried about you princess” Mr. Jung pats his daughter’s head. “I know!’ Mr. Jung smiled at Jessica.   “What dad?” Jessica asked her old man curiously.   “Why don’t you and your husband take a vacation in our new branch in the Bahamas?  You’ve never been there right? Why don’t you relax for about a week? That would be fun” The old Jung cheer up his daughter.   “I would love to, Daddy… but Yuri’s schedule is the problem. He’s very busy lately.”  Jessica smiled sadly.   “Yul, that kid will turn his law firm upside down just to be with you. He will make time even if he doesn’t have it” Jessica’s father assured her.   Jessica just smiled, yeah… Yuri will make time for her.. But it seems that it’s not the case anymore.  She couldn’t help but be upset on the way that Yuri is acting lately. He is like dead man walking which bothers her even more.   “Why don’t you call your husband and tell him about the vacation, both of you needed.”  Mr. Jung stands up.   Jessica hugged her father tightly.. “Thanks Daddy…”   “Anything for my only princess” The old man hugs back.   “I love you daddy.”     ++++++++     Yuri smiled at Yonghwa who was now awake and playing with the toy train that he bought him. It’s good to see him lively and talkative again.  It’s been 5 days since he was brought in the hospital.   “appa” the boy called him that made Yuri’s smile even bigger, Yonghwa is turning 4 soon, and for his age he was already speaking straight.   “Yes Yong?”   “Can we go to the… the…” Yonghwa couldn’t find the word but he look at the window. Yuri already get it, he was talking about the playground.   “We can’t… you might catch germs in there, you don’t want to get sick again. Right?”  Yuri smiled but the boy pout sadly.   “Why? You don’t like Appa as a playmate?” Yuri asked gently.   “I like appa..“ Yonghwa climb to his lap and hug him. “But you’re not always here.. Mommy said that you need to work and go home. Why is that, appa?”   Yuri heart aches for the little boy; he can’t say anything because Yonghwa is too young to understand. He find it hard to explain things nowadays, to a 3 year old child and a 24 year old woman, there’s no difference. He closed his eyes and hug Yonghwa’s little body.  “Appa will tell you someday, Yong..”   “Why not now?” the little boy eyed him.   “Appa is not yet ready… and you need to grow up a little bit to understand.”   “Next month is my birthday! Will you tell me then?”   Yuri just smiled at the boy, and sigh as he hugs him again.     ++++++++++     Jessica was still in her office, she’s calling Yuri phone for about half an hour now but it seems that the phone is not with him, she was always connected to voicemail. So Jessica decided to call the office since it’s just 2 in the afternoon.   “Hello” a female voice answered.   “Luna” She greeted back.   “Omo… Ms. Jessica! What can I do for you?” the girl seems excited.   “Is Yuri free as of the moment?” she inquired.   “Boss is not here Ms. Jessica… Atty. Choi is here though” Luna cheerfully informed her.     “Do you know where he went?”   “Ahm… I’m sorry Ms. Jessica, but his entire schedule has been cancelled, his office was closed since Monday. “   “…”   “Ms. Jessica?” Luna asked worriedly.   Jessica took a minute to process what she heard. Yuri is leaving for work normally every day.. she gritted her teeth after, thinking what her husband were up to this time. She cannot let it go of this, the man was hiding something; she should know what’s happening to Yuri now.  She has a gnawing feeling in her chest and at this moment she is close to get crazy. ‘Where the hell is Yuri?”   “Ah…” Luna sound relieved. “No, he didn’t come here today.”   “Ah…ok… can I talk to Sooyoung?” Jessica then asked for her cousin, one of Yuri’s associates in the firm.   “Right away, Ms. Jessica”   “Thank you.”  Jessica said, while waiting for her cousin in the other line.  Her mind was busy thinking of the possibilities.   “Yo! Sica!” A man greeted her.   “Soo, I have a question… do you know something about Yuri’s big case?” She asked straight away.   “Big case?” Sooyoung repeated. “None that I know of… why?”   “Nothing.. So Yuri, is he acting weird to you lately?” Jessica asked again.   “Uhm… we barely see each other Jessica, I’m busy with 4 trials in my hand.
