---------------POV 5 YEARS AGO--------------------

Sungmin calling him in this place saying he has something to tell him is ordinary. But Sungmin calling him in this place saying he
has important to say is different. Kyuhyun sat on the roof top of the school. What is Sungmin going to say? They haven't been seeing
each other since the former started dating. Will he say he misses his bestfriend? Will he say he broke up with Youngwoon and is very
sad and needs his company? Will he say he felt something different when they shared his first kiss? Will he say... he looked down.
Impossible. This is Sungmin. He won't say such.

He looked at the sky and had his thoughts as he watches the clouds moving around. When did he feel it? No... it has probably been
here. He just didn't notice. Sungmin has always been important to him but when did he feel that things have changed? He didn't know
this until that time. A flashback of how he looked at his bestfriend while their lips are together. His heartbeat raced, his brain
was clouded, every single pore in his body reacted, everything has changed. Sungmin is not Ming anymore. He is Sungmin. The Sungmin
that he...

Kyuhyun looked down. Is it even possible? They are the best of friends. How could he say he have such... he doesn't even know why it
suddenly popped like that. Just because of a kiss. How will his friend even react to this? Much more now that he is dating. No, he
won't tell. He doesn't like rejections. Not even from Sungmin...especially from Sungmin.

What does Sungmin have to say? Why is it important? Could it be? or...? He closed his eyes. Stop thinking too much, Kyuhyun. Sungmin is
his bestfriend and he won't lose him. He will never lose his bestfriend. Sungmin would always want to be his Ming... and him as only
Kyung. Kyuhyun and Sungmin will never exist in Kyung and Ming's world. Their childish name will always be them... best friends forever,
no more than that.

He heard the door of the rooftop closes. Sungmin is here. He opened his eyes gently. His heartbeat started stomping again. Why is it
like this? It's just Ming. It's just his bestfriend wanting to tell him something important. Kyuhyun's palms are sweaty... he
shouldn't feel this way. He sighed deeply and composed himself. He turned to the side when he is sure that the person he's been
waiting for is already in front of him. His heart stopped beating for a second before it continued and his eyes didn't show a
reaction that he expected.

"Ryeowook ah..."

What is Ryeowook doing here? Sungmin said he should come alone in the rooftop and that he cannot even call Hyukjae to accompany him.
He said he has something important to say. What is Ryeowook doing here? Why is he here? Where is Ming? He looked down and crossed
his eyebrows shortly. No...this isn't a set-up, is it?

"K-Kyuhyun ah..."

"You know what? Today is Ryeong's confession day." Sungmin told Youngwoon. His voice is not that excited, in fact he is a bit
anxious. Is Kyuhyun going to accept him? Is Kyuhyun going to date Ryeowook? Does he feel the same way for the other? Sungmin's arm
hooked around the other's arm.

Youngwoon nodded and didn't say a word. It's all about Kyuhyun again. If it's not about Sungmin being best friends with Kyuhyun, it's
how Kyuhyun met Hyukjae or how Ryeong is secretly liking his best friend. Youngwoon is secretly frustrated about this. If he didn't
think Sungmin is innocent about considering being in love with Kyuhyun, he'd probably think his boyfriend is head over heels about
his bestfriend.

Sungmin chuckled. "I'm quite worried about Ryeong. I'm not sure he can stand Kyung's temper if they ever date. He can be really be
irritating when he's sulking. He wouldn't even want to open his mouth and talk to anyone." he giggled on the memory. "Kyung doesn't
even know how to accept someone's confession. He always wants to date but whenever there is someone confessing to him, he would just
stand still and watch until that person goes away."

Youngwoon remained quiet as Sungmin blabbers about his best friend. He doesn't even understand what the other is talking about. "Kyung,
has the habit of being sarcastic whenever he doesn't like something. I wonder if Ryeong can handle him. He can be a hard-headed, he
doesn't listen to anyone except me. Do you think I should be there to push him to say yes to Ryeong?"

Kyung, Kyung, Kyung. Youngwoon is starting to hate that name. It sounds annoyingly cute in Sungmin's lips. It sounds annoying because
he hears it everytime. It sounds annoying because it's not his name. He doesn't even realise that Youngwoon is not listening to him
anymore.

"Min..." Youngwoon called gently and low.

Sungmin turned to him and bit his lower lip. "Sorry... I'm talking too much about Kyung again..." he said knowing his fault
immediately. They've agreed to lessen their talks about how great Kyuhyun's voice is, or how gluttonous Kyuhyun is, or how Kyuhyun can
sleep in class and can still answer the professor's question. They've talked about lessening their talks about Kyuhyun. He shouldn't
be talking about Kyuhyun in front of Youngwoon... it's not right. He sighed.

"Sorry, hyung, I just..." he sighed helplessly. "I just don't know if Kyung will accept Ryeowook's confession. I mean that person
can be really dumb at times and he might not know what to do when Ryeowook confesses to him. He's quite stupid to be considered a
genius but I don't really know how he can handle such."

"I'm quite sure, he's old enough to know."

"Hyung, you have no idea what Kyung can do. Do you know what he did when someone came to him and ask him out for the first time? He-"

"Min..." Youngwoon looked at him gently but he knows that kind of tone tells him to shut up and stop talking about
Kyung. He nodded his head and kept his worry in his mind. He pouted and looked down. Youngwoon just sighed and kept his disappointment
to himself.

Sungmin looked down and bit his lower lip. He still worries about Kyuhyun.

How will Kyung handle things? Is he fine dating Ryeong? Kyung says his ideal type is someone who'll always be there for him, someone
who can take care of him, someone who can stand his temper and someone who has a sunbeam in his lips. He doesn't know about the last
but he's sure Ryeong fits the description...but Kyuhyun can be difficult sometimes, no one can really stand him being Mr.
Im-a-cool-cold-and-hot guy. Except for one.

It was like a clash of thunder and lightning. Ryeowook saying he likes Kyuhyun and asking to date him is like a clash of thunder and
lightning. Sungmin asked him to come here because Ryeowook wants to confess his feelings for Kyuhyun. And he actually thought
everything is all about him and Sungmin. Ming, what the heck is this about?

Ryeowook's eyes are on the floor, ready to shame himself for rejection. It's not the first time anyway. Who would want a clumsy,
piano geek that is him anyway? Kyuhyun is this cool, cold person who will only warm up when his best friend is around.

"Sure...let's date." Kyuhyun said in a monotonous way.

He didn't hear what Kyuhyun said...or did he?

Sungmin wants him to date Ryeong because he doesn't want his bestfriend to be on his own. Sungmin ah... that's very kind of you. It
is a sarcastic thought. Maybe it was only him who felt it. Maybe its just the so-called magic of first kiss. But it is not his first
kiss. And certainly he didn't feel this kind of magic with Sungmin before... or did he? Damn, he just know Sungmin in and out that he
cannot identify which part of him is special and what's not... Stupid Ming~! He doesn't want the sympathy of his best friend because
he is still single and Sungmin is already taken. But since the opportunity of dating someone has come...he needs to
make the most out of it.

"Ryeowook ah..." he called. The other raised his head and looked at him. "Let's date."

Ryeowook's mouth agaped shortly before stretching to smile. A bright sunny smile. Ming has a sunny smile too...but he's not in front
of him. It wouldn't be that bad. Dating Ryeong shouldn't be that bad. It's like having Sungmin by his side but quieter and more
prim version. A less cuter Sungmin who has godly skills in piano and is not as addicted to Jung Yunho. This should be good. He
should stop thinking of his best friend. Sungmin has his own life, a life that Kyung shouldn't be a part of.

Kyuhyun startled when he found Ryeowook's arms wrapped around him.

"Thank you, Kyuhyun." he said. Kyuhyun watched the little man cling to him. Ryeowook is warm against his body. Just like Sungmin. He
smiled and wrapped his arms around Ryeowook. Maybe this isn't as bad as he thought it'll be.

It should be fine. Ryeowook should be fine.

Kyuhyun should be fine too.

Sungmin stood in front of the dorm that he lives in. He turned and smiled at Youngwoon. "Hyung, thanks for walking me here." He smiled
widely at him. He likes Youngwoon; he's quiet unlike Kyuhyun who has endless complains about him. Youngwoon doesn't like sweets but
he can tolerate Sungmin unlike Kyuhyun who couldn't even stand watching him eat his caramel sundae. Youngwoon has good vocals too...
just like Kyuhyun. It's one of his favorite things about his best friend.

"Anything for you." Youngwoon said. Sungmin giggled and turned to unlock the door. He didn't notice the change of glints in the older's
eyes who mindfully closed his eyes before calling him. "Min..."

"Uhm?"

"Goodnight~" Youngwoon said. The other turned to him with a smile but startled when he wasn't able to say his goodnight because his
hyung pressed his lips to his. He blinked his eyes and remained like that for the next few sec.

I didn't know kisses taste this sweet. Thanks Kyung. Is it always like this? He gave his first kiss to Kyuhyun and it felt really
sweet, like his caramel sundaes. Those electric grounds that tinged his everything is still unforgettable to him. When he had his
first kiss with Youngwoon...

Youngwoon's kiss was sweet when he first experienced it...or was it because he remembers Kyung that time? Do kisses change taste
after a while? Because it seems like Youngwoon's kiss is becoming rougher and bitter... Is it just him? He's not that innocent anymore,
he knows that people at his age has reached far more than kisses, but the mysterious changes of taste in it makes him think about
what exactly is his feelings for Youngwoon.

He likes Youngwoon. He's really good looking, he plays taekwondo other than being in the band, he's a model stduent. He can sing, he
treats him nicely, he listens to every words he say. But he doesn't like to argue unlike Kyuhyun, he always gives in to what he wants
unlike Kyuhyun who would often insist of doing this and that. He's not agitated whenever he says his admiration to Jung Yunho. Youngwoon
is such a nice hyung to him.

He gently pushed Youngwoon away when the older pulled him tightly and closer to him. He doesn't want it like this. Not when he has
questions in his mind. He knows where this pulling can lead them... but he won't give in...even if Youngwoon pulled him again after
pushing him just now. He will not give in when he's unsure of Youngwoon. Kyung, what should I do? It would be better if Kyung is
around. He could immediately stand by Ming and tell him what he should do.

"Goodnight, hyung." he said when Youngwoon sighed heavily after being pushed away. Why can't Sungmin give in to him? He always needs
to force himself to Sungmin just so he can feel his own presence in the younger's life. It can be too frustrating being like this.
Kyuhyun is not around but he's always part of the conversation. Kyuhyun is always part of his complains. Kyuhyun is always part of
Sungmin. Why can't he separate him to his bestfriend?

Sungmin didn't look at him anymore instead, he immediately turned the knob and went inside. He rested his back on the door and closed
his eyes.

It's not like Youngwoon is forcing him to do something but he knows well he is hinting for them to do something. Why is he unwilling?
People do it anyway. He sighed heavily and went inside his room.

He just heard that Kyuhyun accepted Ryeowook. He should already give space to his best friend. They've been together for almost their
whole life and Kyuhyun being inseparable part of him makes him always think that Kyung will always be there for him. No. They have
passed adolecent stage, they should start having individual lives.

It has been a month since Kyuhyun started dating. It's quite...regular. That's what he thinks. They hold hands, they go out, watch
movies...they kiss. Yup, they kiss. They are boyfriends anyway. So what's the big deal? Kissing is normal and... probably all the
same. He doesn't know. He felt the same taste when he got drunk and when he almost dated a girl. Ryeong's kiss is no different. It's
quite normal for him now. A lip touching lip kind of thing that people do when they say hello and goodbye. All kisses taste the
same... or so he thought. No, it's not. Ming's kiss is still different.

How is Sungmin? He hasn't been around these days. What's going on with him? He sees Hyukjae more than he sees his bestfriend. Should
he call? Ming has been trying to get away from gatherings that will make them meet because he wants Ryeong to spend more time with
him. Why is this so? Can't they be inseparable while they are both dating someone else?

Kyuhyun look down. Right, they shouldn't see each other while dating someone else. Because as much as he wants to stop himself. Ryeong
is like a little Sungmin and less. He's cute and talented, he likes sweets and writing songs, He likes Song Kwang Sik and Jung Yunho...
but he has softer voice and doesn't want to argue. He easily gives in to Kyuhyun even if he is in the wrong. Ryeowook is not Sungmin.
Kyuhyun shook his head and turned to his phone. Even his wallpaper changed from him and Sungmin...to him and Ryeowook. Should he call
his best friend? He pressed 1 shortly and saw the phone dialling Sungmin's number but he cancelled it after a few sec.

He sighed... Kyuhyun shouldn't call Sungmin. He must be having a good time with Youngwoon.

Some days passed by when an emergency call made Sungmin ditch Youngwoon and ran kilometers just to reach Kyuhyun.
"Sorry hyung, I really have to go." The older wasn't even able to answer as Sungmin immediately ran away after saying he has an emergency.

Kyuhyun needs him. He must be there for the other. He can neglect the rest of the world for all he cares but not Kyuhyun. Never Kyuhyun.
His best friend never cries on phonecalls but Kyuhyun is all messy sobs and cries when he was on the line. Kyuhyun never cry like
that.

"Kyuhyun ah..." he called in his mind as he ran towards his best friend's house. His legs are painful because he's been running quite
far but if he stops his heart will ache more. He won't stop even if there's a big wall in front of him. He'll come for Kyuhyun.

He reached the big house and darkness temporarily blinded him. He was catching his breath and damn, he cannot see yet because there
are no lights on. "Kyuhyun ah..." he blinked slowly and forced his eyes slightly adjust to the darkness. A sniff from the left
corner made Sungmin turned there.

"Kyuhyun..." his eyes worried even if Kyuhyun cannot see. What has happen to his best friend? He found the other man crouching into
a small ball at the corner most of the house. He slowly walked towards Kyuhyun and squat down in front of him.

"What happened?"

Kyuhyun closed his eyes hard and tears fall even more when he felt Sungmin's warm palm caressing his back. He opened his mouth to
breathe and turned to the person beside him.

"Appa shot himself." he said.

Sungmin's eyes widened with shock. What has happened? Why did Kyuhyun's dad do that to himself? Kyuhyun sobbed more and didn't stop
himself from wrapping his arms around Sungmin neck and
cried hard on his shoulder. "He cannot he save the company anymore. He shot himself in front of me." another set of tears came out
as he continuously sob on his best friend's shoulder. Kyuhyun's eyes are full of fright. He can just see his father crying in his
room with a gun aimed on his head. A loud shot made him gasped for breath and the next thing he knows, his father is in his own pool
of blood. He fell on his knees and didn't know what to do. It was the maids who called for ambulance because he was not his own self
for the past hour. It was after his father had his flat lines that he made a call on Sungmin.

Kyuhyun might be the quiet type who seem to not care about anyone but likes it when he knows that there is someone out there for him
to reach. And now this incident has to happen... who will he turn to? His mom left them early and now his dad gave up his life
without considering him. He even shot himself in front of his son. Kyuhyun is sure to have nightmares on this.

Sungmin didn't know that Kyuhyun is facing this kind of troubles recently. He was busy letting Ryeowook be a good lover to his best
friend that he didn't even realise that Kyuhyun has been this lonely. He should have known better. He should have sticked to him more.
He should have called the latter when his hands itched to call him. He should have come to Kyuhyun whenever he thinks of him. He
initially wanted to detach himself to his bestfriend but now it is more impossible to do it. No, he won't leave Kyuhyun anymore.

"Shh..." Sungmin hushed him. His hands are up and down Kyuhyun's back trying to calm him. "You silly crybaby, who told you you'll
be alone?" he asked as he let his hands continue their activity. "I'm here, right? Do you ever think I will leave you?"

Kyuhyun sniffed again and let go of Sungmin. They faced each other for a long time. Kyuhyun can still see that image of his father
in the pool of blood but because he saw Sungmin before him now... its as if the nightmare was kissed away by his light. They didn't
realised that the clock has been running minutes with them just staring at each other. Sungmin moved his hand but stopped midway
before continuing its journey to the other's face. He gently dried the tears from Kyuhyun's eyes and let his palm rest on his cheek.
Kyuhyun swallowed and closed his eyes. Tears came out again and he just can't stop from crying. Sungmin hushed his again and wrapped
him in his arms tightly.

He was closer to his mom than to his dad but still, the thought that he has lost a family member makes his heart ache really badly.
But because Sungmin is here, the heartache that chokes him earlier slowly soothens. What will he do without Sungmin in his life? Now
he cannot even imagine.

"Hush now, Kyuhyun." I'm just here.

Everything will be fine because he's by Kyuhyun's side. He'll be the light in Kyuhyun's nightmare.

He'll always be the only one.

Hyukjae sighed upon leaving Kyuhyun's wake. Sungmin sitting and consoling his bestfriend while Ryeowook is watching them from behind.
Sungmin being the first to know what has happened to Kyuhyun's family and Ryeowook knowing it after a few days through Hyukjae because
he cannot contact his boyfriend. Youngwoon being busy in the band because his boyfriend is being busy consoling his bestfriend.

Hyukjae knows he is not important. He is just a third person in the story. But he is a point of view. Kyuhyun and Ryeowook are in a
relationship now. Sungmin and Youngwoon are in a relationship too. Ryeowook and Youngwoon are two different people trying hard to
penetrate in Kyung and Ming's bubble. Hyukjae looked down and remembered how Kyuhyun chose to cling to Sungmin than to Ryeowook earlier.

He shook his head.

Kyung and Ming's world...why are they so complicated?
