It's not the fact that Yoona admitted that she was gay that bothered Jessica, no, that wasn't the thing that bothered her. It wasn't Jessica's pregnancy either. She was already getting use to the lifestyle. What actually left her uneasy was herself.

Now what did Jessica mean when she said herself?

"You're insane."

Jessica eyed her reflection with an irritable frown. Her eight month stomach was already protruding so much. She has come to the stage wherein she was required to take a maternity leave. No, the boring life of just staying inside her apartment wasn't the thing that was bothering her as well.

It was her weirdness- a weirdness that started two months ago after Yoona admitted she is gay.

Jessica doesn't know it herself. Why is she acting weird? What's even more weirder is what she was feeling.

"Don't ing tell me you're in love with Yoona, Jung Jessica." She stared at her reflection as if it was her sworn enemy. "Please don't tell me that's the case."

She glared at the unresponding reflection but eventually gave up talking to herself because she knew that whatever she saw in the mirror was a reflection of herself- meaning- she didn't need to ask herself over and over of that same boring question because she already knew the asnwer.

"Okay, so what happened to that promise of never falling in love again? Huh?"

She retreated into her living room, abandoning her vanity mirror. It was a good distraction looking at her beautiful self but she's in a dilemma right here so the distraction can only last for a short while.

"But that promise was made for a guy." Jessica reasoned to herself once she was in the kitchen, eating a bowl of cereal. "You said you'll never fall for another man but this is not a man, it's a woman."

Dumping her spoon that hit the side of the bowl with a clang, Jessica paced around the kitchen. She has no idea how this happened. First thing she know she was friends with Yoona, second she found herself drawn towards her and now she's this kind of woman who cannot stop her heart from pacing like a racing horse whenever Yoona's beside her.

Was it Yoona's care? Was it her gentleness? Was it her intelligence? Was it her strong personality? Was it her moral teachings?

Yoona has taught Jessica that it is not what happened to your past that defined a person. It's the present. She also told Jessica that if the father of her baby made Jessica happy, then even though it was a complicated relationship, even though Jessica was hurt, then Jessica shouldn't be ashamed of what she did. She shouldn't regret something that made her happy. Caressing her eight month womb, Jessica does not regret it anymore ever having this child. She was perfectly happy right now aside from the fact that she's really frustrated with her feelings.

Yoona was right. If Jessica will keep on thinking how Yoong hurt her, how she stupidly fell for a person already committed to someone else, Jessica's life will be miserable as hell. And so she has learned to forgive and eventually forget. What helped her forget even more of the ghost of her past was Yoona herself. The lady has stayed beside Jessica's side, a pillar that Jessica needed when she was in the brink of collapsing. The bad thing about this is that she has once again attached herself in a very unhealthy way, that if you take away that pillar, Jessica will once again crumble.

And that is Jessica's current dilemma- If she tells Yoona about her feelings then there is a possibility that their friendship might end and with that Yoona might keep her distance away from her, once again leaving Jessica with no pillar. Jessica does not want that. She'd rather keep her feelings than confess and send Yoona away. She wouldn't want to lose her friend, her friend who helped her get back to her feet, her friend who became her anchor.

"So you better shut the up, Jessica." She told herself once she was in the living room, sitting on her comfortable couch. "You will not mess this up."

Her thoughts were interrupted when her iPad sitting on the living room table started making noises. Jessica picked it up and answered the Skype call coming from her sister Krystal.

"Hey, sis." Jessica greeted, smiling brightly at her sister.

"Unnie! Oh my gosh your belly is so huge! So.... What's it gonna be? A boy? A girl?" Krystal rapped excitedly.

"It's a boy." Jessica answered with a huge smile. "I still don't know what to name him."

"We'll think of that next time! So when is mom and dad coming?"

"Next week. They'll be here next week. They wanted to come earlier but they have been busy with their job. Did you tell them to not say to anybody where they are going?"

"I did, unnie. They'll be flying to Madrid and then take a train to Barcelona, to your place. I doubt the Kwons will be able to track them especially Yoong oppa."

Krystal quickly shut when she realized she said something she shouldn't have.

"Oh my god! I'm sorry unnie! I shouldn't have mentioned the name." She was slapping with her hand.

Jessica chuckled at the sight. "There's no need to do that Krys. I'm totally fine now. I'm no longer affected by him."

Krystal had a look of doubt. "Really?"

"Yes, I'm totally over it." Jessica repeated in a more confident tone. "Believe me... Lots of circumstances allowed me to easily get over him."

Krystal quirked a naughty eyebrow, smirked at Jessica while her eyes glinted of mischief. "And will those circumstances include a cute, hot, stylish stud?"

Jessica frowned. "No, unfortunately not."

Now it was Krystal's turn to frown. "What? I thought for a moment you found a new guy!"

Jessica paused for a moment, unsure whether to tell her sister or not. But then again her sister has been very understanding, very much open. She talked and listened to Jessica since she has arrived in Barcelona. It was lonely but she pulled through with Yoona and her family beside her.

"Well there's a new one but it's not actually a stud." Jessica decided to just spill the beans. She's been honest with her sister with her pregnancy so her love story wouldn't be something her sister won't understand. Besides, Krystal studied in California. Growing up in the west will certainly orient Krystal to the homoual culture. As far as Jessica remembers Krystal's bestfriend is a lesbian. So maybe this kind of news won't surprise her anymore.

"And does that one go by the name of Yoona?" Krystal suppressed the wide grin that appeared on her face as she looked at Jessica whose face started to go red.

Jessica tried to open for a rebuttal, maybe even a denial, but was stumped so she closed instead. She opened it after a while when she's thought of something to say, she spoke. "How'd you know that?"

Krystal giggled loudly. "Well you haven't mentioned anyone else but Yoona whenever you tell me a story. It's always Yoona this, Yoona that. It was even Kim this, Kim that when you didn't know her full name yet. It's wasn't that hard to decipher who this person is when there is only one person you're attached with in that place."

Jessica sighed, contemplating whether to tell more or not. She decided to speak of her worry. "Krys, I don't know what to do. I- I've once again attached myself to someone so bad. I- She's like a pillar to me now, Krys, and I don't want to lose her."

Krystal eyed her sister sympathetically. "I understand you, unnie. I can totally understand how you feel and I think it's better if you just keep this feeling for yourself as of right now. I mean maybe you just need time? I mean- What if you're feeling this way for Yoona because she was there for you? Maybe you felt attached to her because of her closeness to you. You didn't have one beside you so whoever was near to you, you felt as if this person is your everything right now."

"I've thought of that as well two months ago. Like every time I spent time with her I felt like time was ticking slowly, every time she laughs it's like it's the most attractive laugh in the world, every time she lightly touches my skin especially whenever she held my hand- I just feel like screaming because her touch prickles my skin as if it's on fire." Jessica panted heavily as she paused in her story. "I felt my stomach tumble every time I see her, Krys. If I'm not in love with her, then I don't know what I'm feeling anymore."

Krystal watched her sister take heavy breaths. She can tell her sister was damn confused and at the same time emotional. She guessed Jessica really managed to spill all of her emotions to Yoona therefore creating a deep bond. It was pretty much understandable but Krystal couldn't help but worry for her sister. Jessica has undergone a heartbreak after she left Korea. Krystal doesn't want it to happen again because she has witnessed how broken her sister was.

She was actually glad Yoona has managed to help Jessica slowly get over those painful memories. But although she was glad this Yoona has helped her sister, Krystal had to make sure Jessica won't make the same mistake twice.

"Hey... Guess what?" said Krystal, another set of mischief glinting in her eyes.

"You know I'm bad in guessing, Krystal." whined Jessica.

Krystal hopelessly shook her head. She has no idea where in the world her kill joy for a sister came from. "I have accumulated a few weeks for a vacation leave. And so I just bought a ticket to Spain."

Jessica gasped wildly, eyes widened and mouth gaped. "What?! Why in the world are you coming here?"

"It's because you'll be in labor in a few weeks, unnie. I want to be there when I see my nephew. And I'm really interested to know what kind of person this Yoona is? Who knows? If I like her then I might set you two up."

Jessica shook her head but a soft smile was lingering on her lips. "Although I disgaree of you setting me up with Yoona, I really want to see you again Krystal. I miss you."

"I miss you too, unnie."

"You better go now. Don't you have work?"

Krystal let a shriek when she saw the time. "Oh my god! I'll be late! I need to go now, unnie. See you next week!"

Pressing a button, the call ended. Jessica stared at her iPad screen for a long time before placing it back to the table. Now that the call is over, Jessica is once again doing nothing.

She grabbed her phone, pondering whether to send a message to Yoona or not. It was only three in the afternoon. Yoona said her surgery will finish at four.

That eliminates the idea of a possible text chat. With Yoona busy, Jessica didn't want to be a bother. Yoona's in the middle of saving a life and so it was only proper to give her some time.

"Look at you, Jessica. You're not dating Yoona but you already act like an overly attached girlfriend."

And now she was back to the same idea that has been bothering her for quite some time. It seems like she won't be allow to run away from it unless it is dealt with.

Grabbing her phone, she started typing yet her thumb will press the delete button, erasing all the message. She couldn't form a coherent message nor could she think of what to say.

She repeatedly typed then deleted her messages, hoping she will get the courage to press send.

"Oh my god!"

Jessica badly wanted to hit her head on a wall or something once she realized that she just pressed send. Her message was sent to Yoona!

"No, no, no..." She looked at the screen hoping to recall the sent message but that's too late already. "Oh my god I'm so stupid!"

She threw her phone next to her iPad, shooting up the couch and heading to the kitchen for she needed a drink.

It took about twenty minutes before Jessica decided to head back to the living room and check her phone. Maybe luck will be on her side and all of the sudden there is problem with the network therefore the message wasn't sent. But the moment she unlocked her phone, the stupid message she unwittingly sent was there.

I miss you, Yoona.

"I'm so stupid." She laid down the couch, the stress of the message and her pregnancy is driving her insane

She closed her eyes for a short nap. At the back of her mind she's hoping for the message to miraculously disappear. If she's really lucky maybe Yoona's phone is off or something then she won't be able to read the message Jessica never intended to send or maybe she did mean it but she just didn't want Yoona to see it. Did she even make sense?

Ding dong!

Jessica's short nap was rather interrupted with a single bell coming from the door. Slowly opening her eyes, she lazily got up the couch and headed for the door.

"Hey."

Jessica almost slammed the door shut in utter shock upon seeing the face of Yoona. She was instantly brought out of her sleepiness.

"Hi." Jessica replied stiffly. "Why are you here?" She asked dumbly.

Yoona chuckled. "I received a text from someone saying she miss me so I came over after my surgery."

Jessica closed her eyes, mentally slapping her face from her stupidity. She opened her eyes and gave Yoona a wide yet awkward smile. "I see. I've totally forgotten about that. I guess taking a nap sort of blurred my memory."

The awkward explanation was an extension of Jessica's stupidity but fortunately Yoona didn't react. She raised two paper bags instead.

"I bought grocery. I figured I should buy some for you this week since you cannot go outside." She explained.

Jessica noticed the marks on Yoona's forefingers. It is a mark left whenever a doctor tightens a surgery thread after finishing stiching a patient. The visible marks indicated it is fresh especially since Yoona just finished her surgery.

"Thanks but you didn't have to. I have enough for the week." said Jessica. She opened the door wider and let Yoona come in. The latter carried the paper bags to the kitchen counter before joining Jessica in the living room. "You really didn't have to bother, Yoona."

"What are you saying? It's totally fine. " Yoona assured with a broad grin. "So what do you want to eat tonight?"

"Can we just order any Mexican food? I saw this cooking channel earlier and they were making Mexican delicacies." Jessica's craving has varied for the past few months. She's not this difficult to tell what she's craving for woman. Her appetite varied with whatever tingled her senses at any given day. For example if she saw an ice cream then she'll crave for something cold, sweet and creamy. And so since she saw a Mexican dish, Jessica wanted to have Mexican cuisine.

"That's a fantastic choice. I had Mexican in mind when I went grocery." beamed Yoona, rushing back to the kitchen.

Jessica followed her back with an unwavering gaze, mouth agape. "You're joking."

"I wasn't." Yoona drew out a cook book from a paper bag she brought. She showed Jessica the Mexican dishes made easy, Volume I.

Jessica watched as Yoona made dinner effortlessly. What Jessica meant by effortless is that Yoona, although having no prior knowledge to the dishes she's making, managed to perfectly follow the recipe as stated. She chopped, fried, and stirred as she looked at the recipes. Yoona said she's not an expert when it came to cooking. She's also not a gourmet but for Yoona to do plating and garnishing is another feat Jessica found admirable. Please add that to her list of why she's in love with this woman.

"Are you a genius or something?" Jessica eyed the three dishes before she gazed back at Yoona. "You said you're not good in cooking."

"That's without the help of a cook book." Yoona explained calmly with a smile. "I don't cook at home that much, I just cook dishes I've already read about but I'm not the type of person who cooks just for herself while looking through a cook book. I can be very lazy you know." She added with a chuckle.

"Then why did you cook for me?" Jessica swore she was blushing madly when she asked that stupid question.

"That's because my friend is craving for Mexican food." Yoona grabbed two pairs of spoon and fork from the cabinet and handed one pair to Jessica.

"You're really talented, Yoona." Jessica said in mixture of admiration and surprise.

"Always the tone of surprise." joked Yoona. "But seriously speaking, I think my intelligence quotient should get the credit."

Jessica took a bite of her taco that contained fresh and healthy ingredients. "Really? What is your I.Q. then?"

"Last time I checked it was two hundred. I don't know if there has been an increase or decrease but that's what I know."

Jessica was expecting Yoona to laugh and claim it was a joke but seeing her devour her own taco with no sign of kidding, Jessica almost choked on her food.

"Are you serious?!" She would have stood up had she not felt tired and heavy. It's really the downside of pregnancy.

Yoona's body jolt a little in surprise. She expected the outburst but the dolphin scream was unexpected. "Woah. That pierces the ear." She poked her ear to rub it off. "And yes, I'm serious."

Jessica blushed when she realized how loud she was earlier. "Ooops, my bad!" She composed herself and once again held the taco. "How did you know?"

"My mom was curious how the hell I was handling MIT. When I got accepted in Harvard, she asked me to take an exam. I didn't know what it was until I received the results. Two hundred intellegence quotient- it really shocked my mom. We haven't told anyone about it."

"Then why did you tell me?" Jessica asked with an obvious blush. She took a bite to hide that fact and distract Yoona.

"My mom told my dad and since she broke the promise, she told me I can tell it to one person as well. She's cool like that." Yoona laughed a little at the memory of her mom setting that bargain.

"Wow. I'm flattered." Jessica admitted. She felt her ears burning up which she is sure are red at the moment. "Why did you keep it a secret though? I mean it's something to be proud of."

Yoona shrugged. "I don't know but maybe it's because my mom is worried for me. I mean neither of my parents are- hmmm what's the word? Ah! Smart, neither of them were as smart as I am. Doctor said it's a one in thirty million chances to get a I.Q. of two hundred. So... I decided to put it into good use. I want to help as many people as I can so I took all of my degrees."

As Yoona explained, Jessica couldn't help but fall deeper. Damn it! Why is this even happening to her? Last time she checked she was as straight as a pole. The last person she had with was a guy- Yoong- but how did she end up getting the hots for Yoona, a girl?

"I'm just amazed how amazing you are." Jessica admitted truthfully. "You're selfless, talented and passionate with what you do. I doubt you have anything more to like."

"Actually yes, I do have some couple of things I still want." replied Yoona. "The first one is a secret." She placed a finger on her lip partnered with a playful smile. "The second one is to be with my family. I was supposed to go visit them in Korea before I start my job at the hospital but I was asked to start early because they had a few doctors who have retired. They were undermanned so I had to cancel my trip back home in order to assist them. They took in a lot of residents. The pay is less compared to an attending physician. The recession really affected everyone."

Jessica nodded in understanding. "Aren't you also the hospital's law consultant?"

"Yes I am. I was initially offered to be their law representative but I declined. I won't be able to fully fulfill my doctor duties."

"I see. How do you apply your business management skills then?" Jessica prodded further.

"Well my mom is a chef. She has eleven restaurants all over Asia, Europe and USA. My dad is a painter and at the same time an art collector. He most often refer to himself as an artist ever since he started pottery. He has four museums. Basically I help my parents in managing their businesses. I sort of give them innovative ideas and tips to improve their management."

"Wow, so you really applied all of your degrees in real life!" exclaimed Jessica. "That's marvelous! You're really amazing Yoona."

"Well since I'm already telling you my credentials I need to top it off with something great." beamed Yoona.

"Really? Is there anything else that will top it off?" Jessica pretty much knew Yoona is already great enough yet to have something more to her already excellent credentials will definitely make Jessica's impression of Yoona soar through the roof. It made Jessica way out of Yoona's league.

"I'm ten-and-oh with my courtroom battles. I've never lost any of my case since my first internship." Yoona finished the story with a huge grin.

The list of reasons of why Jessica is in love with Yoona is now long just like the list of the reasons why she is not worthy of Yoona. The great woman like Yoona deserve someone great as well and Jessica- well Jessica thinks she needed a superior version of herself in order to deserve Yoona.

The one thing that comforts Jessica is the fact that Yoona is still her friend. In order to keep Yoona close to her, Jessica would have to keep her feelings for the talented woman inside herself. As long as she doesn't do anything stupid to push Yoona away then everything will be fine.

"You're going into labor soon." Jessica awoken from her stupor and turned her attention back to Yoona. "Have you ever thought of calling your parents or your sister? I mean it will be best to have them beside you isn't it?"

"Why? Are you getting tired of me?" Jessica mentally slapped herself for the somewhat flirty tone she just used. She needs to get a grip of herself! "I mean- yeah."

Yoona chuckled at Jessica's failed attempt to clarify her point. "No, of course not. I just mean I won't be always there with you. What if you go into labor and I am at the hospital? I just want to make sure you have company."

Jessica felt her face heating up at the concern showed by Yoona. "W-well my sister will be coming next week just like my parents. I didn't have any idea Krystal is coming as well. She- She said she's interested to meet you."

"Meet me? Why is she interested anyway?"

"She's thankful that you've been a good friend to me so she wanted to meet you as soon as possible. And she wanted to be there when I give birth." She left out the part that Krystal is excited to meet the person who Jessica kept on mentioning in every conversation the sisters shared.

"Nice. It's going to be fun meeting them." Yoona reached out to wipe the sauce that was on Jessica's bottom lip.

Fortunately for Jessica, Yoona quickly grabbed a bite of her own taco to notice Jessica's burning face. She tried putting her attention to the two other dishes, Chicken Fajitas and Enchilada but the tasty foods failed to distract her thoughts of Yoona.

Jessica thought she can actually suppress her feelings for Yoona. But the truth is, she has no idea when her feelings will spill . It may leak on the day she least expected. Maybe next month, maybe next week, maybe tomorrow.

"I think I'm in love with you."

Or maybe right now.

Yoong was really determined to recover. He was determined to be inside the delivery room with Tiffany and his daughter just like how Yul managed to be with Taeyeon and even film her delivery. Currently he can now walk although he still required a walking stick. The doctor said that if he continue his therapy in about two more months, he will be fully recovered by then.

Grasping his walking stick on his right hand, Yoong walked along the lobby of Hwang Enterprises. He bowed and smiled at the people that came his way. He boarded the elevator and pressed the topmost level, the seventeenth floor. It was past twelve in the afternoon so he stopped by to get his wife from the confines of her office for a scrumptious lunch. Ever since that sincere talk he had with Tiffany two months ago, he has been very good to her. He kept his promise. He tried to fall for Tiffany. He didn't have to try so hard though because it was easy to fall for Tiffany.

So when Yoong said he tried, he means he tried to forget Jessica slowly. The only thing hindering him from falling and appreciating Tiffany was Jessica herself. But when he has finally let go of Jessica, when he has finally accepted his chapter with her has ended, he is now ready to begin his story with Tiffany.

What better way to start a chapter with Tiffany than the birth of t
