(Kris’s POV)

I looked at Tao whom had a similar look on his face, one that I was too familiar with, one that was appearing on my face as well.

The Secret Circle was something that we were close to after all we are the descendants of the ones that created it. Tao was the direction descendant of the Clan Mage. Luhan, the direct grandson of the Clan sub leader. Lay was the direct grandson of the Clan Healer. I was the direct descendant of the clan leader that created the barrier to protect the item. What the item was, was stated in only our clan’s grimorie. The clan only consist of the people involved with the Secret Circle. Those who were not linked to it had no idea about it at all.

On our backs, the descendants of the Secret Circle were markings that we could feel but could not see. Luhan’s grandfather had murmured how only when it is time, then the markings would be shown and in clear sight. But since then years have already passed and we grew up but still nothing happened.

“Hyung.” Tao murmured wincing suddenly as light was glowing from his back and passed through his shirt.

“It’s time.” I hear a voice whispering in my head.

Then I caught sight of Luhan, Lay and Tao being encased in a golden beam of light and immediately I looked at myself that was also surrounded in a golden fluid of light and then, there was nothing. “You have been summoned…” a medley of voice echoed inside of my head.

I winced as I got up, falling hard onto the ground. “Where are we, Kris?” Luhan murmured and I turned to see the Tao and Lay whom landed on my right side. “I don’t know.” I replied, looking around us.

There was a white building infront of us and even though it was resembled those castles that princes and princess would leave forever in but to us, the feeling that it gave off was creepy and we broke out in goosebumps.

Without control, our legs started walking into the castle. “Kris! What’s going on?” Lay shouted, sweat breaking out on his forehead as he struggled with whatever that was controlling his limbs.

“I don’t know! I can’t stop it!” I screamed as a reply, trying to force myself to stop walking but I could not. Whatever that was controlling us was too powerful, too strong.

Then we were brought into a hall-like room with four tables infront of us. “It is time…” the same voice echoed and there was suddenly four figures sitting in those seats.

“Grandfather?” Luhan and Lay whispered with their eyes wide opened.

“The council has gathered right here with our descendants.” One of them murmured, someone whose portraits were hanging in my house’s walls. My ancestor…..

“The Awaited One has appeared and The Secret Circle is now in process.” My ancestor, Antonius murmured.

“Awaken,” The council before us murmured and immediately, our backs started to burn and we screamed in pain.

There was this unfamiliar feeling reverberating through out my body and it felt like as if my blood was boiling hot lava which was coursing through my pulses and veins. Everything just felt like I was caught in the middle of a huge fire, slowly and gradually burning to death.
