Chapter 24

Author’s POV

The chandelier hangs proudly in the center of the living room as the sunlight passes through the transparent ceiling, glistens its rays on it. Thousands of spectacles beam from it as it twinkles above, like stars in day light. The long brown haired girl sits beneath it, heads down and fingers nervously plays. Across her is her father, waiting patiently for her to speak up.

The big grandfather clock is ticking, echoing inside the room and taking up all the space in the area. Her mom stands behind his father, rubbing his shoulders.

“Where did you go?” her father said once more.

Bom’s eyes wanders on her feet, not meeting up his father’s impassive gaze.

“Is this how you raise her Mi Shin?” his father voices out, accusing rather.

The younger lady looks up to her father and gave him a sardonic smile, “At least she raised me.”

“Bom~” her mother gasps on her sudden out lash.

“Mom he’s mocking you. Him, who doesn’t even know how you raised me.”

“Enough Bom, apologize to your father.” her mother slightly presses her father’s arms, asking more patience from him.

“Where did you go last night?” her father asks once more.

“Minzy.” She answered flatly.

Bom then stands up and headed for the stairs, but she stopped abruptly and returns back.

She bends down on her father’s level, “I’m sorry dad. And welcome home.” She then kissed his cheeks and walk off.

Bom closes her door carefully and rested her back against it. She blows her exhale loudly, thinking what she did downstairs was behind her limit. She knows she disrespected her dad and she felt bad about it.

‘But it’s his fault, she mocked omma.’ Bom thought to herself as she arranges her fringe.

She then walks towards her bed and lays on her belly. Her hand reaches to her pocket and fishes out her phone to check for messages. A sigh escapes when she found nothing. She expected Seunghyun to text her, especially now that their feelings are mutual.

A smile creeps on her face and hits reply. She then buries her face on her pillow and decided to take a nap. Spending a night with Seunghyun is though. Being around his arms are enough to make her awake the whole time.

Jiyong jumps out of his car with corn cobs on his hand. He just waited for Bom reply for him to visit her. But a white car stops him from his way to the gate. Dara climbs of her car and beams a smile at him. His shoulder fell down, he sighed and scratched his nape. He then approached her girlfriend and gave her a peck in the cheeks.

“Hey,” he greeted her.

“You weren’t answering my text.” She said, pouting.

“I left my phone in my room.” He lied.

“Oh, is that for Bommie?” she asked as she pointed at the food container on his hand.
