Chapter 9:

"Who was that ?"

Kai bluntly asked with his poker-face on.

Hana was taken off-guard by his sudden question, she didn't think much and just smiled, "A friend of mine ? Why did you ask ?"

Kai scowled seeing her smiling while mentioning another guy. He narrowed his eyes, felt uneasily out of the blue.

"Oh ..." he spoke dumbfoundly. Hana giggled giddily, "Okay, um ... why are you in my room anyway ?"

Kai lit his face up, stuck with his world, "Eh-h I I-I ..."

Seeing his uneasy talking, Hana blinked her eyes, bit her lips, and made a move over what she was thinking first, "...You need some more money ... ?" she asked uncertainly, didn't know if it's okay for her to ask him straightly about this sensitive topic.

Kai's eyes turned dark, his jaw was rigit and his heart almost jumped out of his heart and yell at her face for talking like that. "What ?! That's what you think about me ?! A money-maniac ? A man who is only fond of money ?!" he snapped coldly, loudly. Hana flinched at his voice, she shut her eyes in guilty for saying so. "No ! I m-mean, you haven't been into my room before ... and I didn't know about any reason for you to beside that ..." she mumbled

Kai sighed, his long fingers ran through his floppy hair, but on his face was a visible frown, "Suho hyung asked me to take care of you ! Dammit ! You said you love me but my image in your heart is all like that ? A fool blinding because of money ?!"

Hana stared at him, it took her a while to process the unfamilar situation Kai just said, "Eh ?"

Kai cursed in frustration, he gritted his teeth because of how clueless she was, "I mean, you were deadly sick, so Suho hyung demanded me to look after you, against my will, okay ?"

Now Hana nodded her head like a little kid understanding a hard question, "Really ? Omg ! I must have been a burden to Suho oppa ..." she bit her bottom lip in worry.

Kai raised his eyebrow, annoyed, *Seriously ?! Doesn't she think she will be a burden to me ?*

"Where is he now ?" Hana asked as she stretched her head out to look outside her room.

Kai coldly replied, "Out. Work. Busy. Got it ?!". He glared at her with a twinkle of envy in his eyes. Hana gasped, she can see it, but she wasn't sure. "Got it ! Thanks, Kai !~" she sang happily and swung his hand around. Kai blinked nonstop-ly and yanked his hand away, "Don't touch me, you will send your sick virus to me !!"

Hana softly chuckled.

Then, their house's bell rang.

"I'll get the door" she volunteered, but Kai pushed her back harshly and headed out without a word.
