By the time I woke up the next morning, thin rays of sunlight were seeping through the cracks of the blinds. I looked at the small clock hanging on the wall and realized that it was well past dawn. I lay in bed for a while, replaying the last couple of weeks in my head. I had woken up in a hospital in South Korea, covered in woulds with no memory whatsoever of how I ended up like so; I learned that three famous men of the country were the ones that saved my life; and now, I was living with them...

What...the...hell...?!!

I looked at my left arm, which was still encased in its thick (and heavy) cast. Great, and to top it all off, I am now, for a while, one-handed, not to mention the five broken ribs that the doctor had so kindly informed me that I had. Wow...I was a mess...

I slowly climbed out of the warm bed. Stepping out of my room, I noticed that the dorm was empty. I shrugged. He probably had a schedule. Careful to stay out of sight, as both Hyun-woo and Leeteuk had advised me to do, I made my way past the doors leading to the balconey and headed to the kitchen. I managed to locate the cups and poured myself a glass of water. I sat at the kitchen table, still unable to get last night out of my head. Why had Heechul gotten so mad? Leeteuk did mention that the room was very important to him, but it wasn't like I was trying to blow it up. I was just looking at the pictures...

I pondered the thought. Perhaps the room I was staying in belonged to someone close? Did it belong to the other man in the photos? I let out a sigh. There was something familiar about him... about all four of them, that I could not get my head around no matter how hard I tried. It was futile. I gave up and rinsed my cup. After putting it away, I went out to the small living room and curled up on the couch. Looking around, I realized that there were various photos scattered around the room. Many of them contained Heechul and that man again, but there were also quite a few depicting a large group of young men, Heechul included among them. Some had thirteen people while others showed fifteen people.  Looking at all the different faces, I also recognized Leeteuk, Siwon and that man as part of the group. The rest of them oddly seemed familiar, too. Who were they?

At that instant, there was a knock at the door. I stood up, unsure of whether to answer it or not. What if it was someone who didn't know about me? What would that scenario look like? The person knocked again.

"It's me!" a familiar voice called out. Relieved, I strode over and opened the door, letting Hyun-woo and a nurse inside.

"You should have said so sooner! You freaked me out!" I exclaimed, shutting the door again.

"Sorry, but we brought you some daily necessities and some clothes," Hyun-woo replied, putting the bags he had been carrying down.

"Oh, thank you!" I said in surprise, not expecting anything like this at all. "You don't have to do this!"

"Sure we do," Hyun-woo said. "How else would you be able to make it through the next month? No offense, but Heechul-shi isn't the nicest person to be around, especially not these days."

"Why not?" I asked, my head cocked to the side.

"He recently learned from articles on the internet that Hankyung-shi is planning a marriage with some Chinese actress," Hyun-woo replied with a sigh.

"Han...kyung...?" I repeated slowly, his name sounding familiar. Hyun-woo nodded.

"He was a former member of the band," he explained.

"Band?" I asked, my eyes widening.

"Yes, I told you that Heechul-shi, Leeteuk-shi, and Siwon-shi are very famous here in Korea, right?" he asked. I nodded in reply. "Well, they are a part of the band Super Junior along with many others. I'm sure you'll meet them all in due time. Well anyways, many years ago, Hankyung-shi was still a part of the band, but he filed a lawsuit against SM Entertainment and left. He returned to China and started a solo career. Not too long after, he met this actress, Jiang Kai Tong, and now word has gotten out that they're getting married. Heechul-shi seems really upset by it. He and Hankyung-shi were closer than blood brothers...Now he feels like Hankyung-shi has replaced him."

"Mmm...I have a feeling that I've experienced something like that..." I said distantly. "Everybody wants their best friend only to themselves deep down..."

"It'll be okay. Heechul-shi is a strong person. Just, make sure you don't mention anything or do anything that'll remind him of Hankyung-shi. He has quite a nasty temper," Hyun-woo warned. I shrugged.

"Shouldn't be a problem," I replied.

"Good, now let's check that arm of yours," he said.
