Everything was organized and clean except for the shattered frame on the ground. I picked up the larger shards and discarded them in the trash can that sat by his nightstand. I gathered the smaller bits in a pile befoore the photo caught my eye. I picked it up gently and saw that it displayed Heechul and Hankyung whispering behind a fan; Heechul seemed to be enjoying himself. I smiled and removed the picture from the frame. Laying it on his bed, I knocked out the jagged pieces of glass that still clung to the frame. Slipping the photo back into the frame, I placed it on his bookshelf with the other pictures. With a smile, I began clearing away the remaining glass.

"Ow...!" I dropped the shard I had just picked up and looked at my finger; a large scarlet bead was swelling on my skin. "Great... now I have four useful fingers left..." I on my cut, the rusty taste of blood coating my tongue. I didn't mind the taste of blood; actually, in small amounts, I actually liked it.

I cleared away the small bits with a wet paper towel and felt around for any that I might've missed. Satisfied, I left his room and went to take a shower.

HEECHUL POV:

I unlocked the door and stepped inside. Closing the door, I put down the cat I had been carrying.

"Glad to be home, Heebum?" I asked as he leapt onto the couch and curled up, making himself comfortable. I laughed, but stopped when Heebum clambered off and made a bee-line to Hankyung's room. My expression darkened as he let out a meow and looked back at me. I walked over to him and in one swift motion, scooped him up and went back to my room.

I shut the door and put him down. Heebum let out another meow and walked over to where the picture I had thrown had landed.

"Heebum, no! It's dangerous!" I exclaimed, but then realized that the glass had vanished. "Wha...?" I followed him and looked around, but every single piece of glass was gone; moreover, the photo sat on my bookshelf, clean of any glass fragments.

The bathroom door opened and footsteps walked down the hall. I looked up and saw Mei Ling walk by my door. Heebum let out a meow and she stopped.

"Oh, Heechul... you're home..." She gave a polite bow and her eyes widened when they fell on Heebum. "You... have a cat?" She turned quickly and walked back to her room, closing the door.

I couldn't tell exactly how I felt. I was angry that she had set foot in my room, invading my privacy... but another strange feeling was tangled in my anger, especially after I saw the large band-aid that swirled around her index finger. I shook it off and went to get Heebum some milk. I was surprised to see all my dishes had been cleaned, but thought nothing more of it. If this was her idea of up to me, it won't work. I hated people like that. I stalked back to my room with the saucer of milk. As I walked by Hankyung's room, muffled whimpers echoed from the other side of the door. Hesitating, I shook my head and kept walking.

MEI LING:

I clutched my head. Pictures of a tabby cat swirled through my mind, followed by a vicious swipe of claws. A distance voice was saying something I couldn't make out in the background. The cat was hissing and baring its teeth before the memory replayed in my head, moving in incomplete fragments at a time, showing me only pieces of my memory. It was enough, enough to taunt me about all the things I couldn't remember. I let out a pitiful sob and buried my head in my arms.
