Chapter 9
Broken, Unbroken [Hiatus]HANGENG POV:
"Here you are, Mr. Han," the man behind the counter said as he handed me my new phone. I sighed and thanked him. I really did not need it, but Kai Tong insisted, and with the new consequences, I couldn't refuse her. But at least this way, I couldn't talk to Heechul... Man, I hoped he was alright...
MEI LING POV:
"There ~ . ~ done ~ months ~ off ~ but ~" I only caught part of what he said. I turned to Hyun-woo for a translation.
"The doctor says that it'll be a couple months until your bones actually completely heal, but you'll be fine by the end of the month to move around. The cast will be taken off at the end of the month again to make sure the bones haven't shifted, but you'll be staying at a place where you'll be under constant surveillance by then, so don't worry," he said. The last part struck me. I'd be able to leave... I wouldn't have to worry about having Heechul yell at me everyday for no reason... I wouldn't have to feel bad about screwing up all their lives...
"I leave Heechul-hyung home?" I asked quietly.
"I know ~ tough ~ but ~" Hyun-woo replied. I shook my head.
"No, I want leave... I don't want hyung mad me..."
I stepped out of the car and bid goodbye to Hyun-woo. I made my way to Heechul's dorm only to run into Leeteuk and a couple of the other members along the way.
"Aisha! ~ better ~ ?" Leeteuk asked me. I nodded and showed him my now smaller cast.
"When ~ take off ~ ?" Sungmin asked.
"Check end month," I replied as we reached the dorm door.
" ~ check ~" Sungmin began, but suddenly, the door opened and Donghae peeked his head out. He spoke in rapid fire Korean, which jumbled up in my head, but at once, the other members rushed inside. Confused, yet curious at the same time, I followed them into the dorm.
Heechul's yells could be heard through the closed door. Leeteuk tried to open it, but Heechul had locked eveyone out. Leeteuk pounded on the door.
"Heechul-ah! ~ wrong ~? Open ~ door~!" he called with worry.
"Hyung, I ~ tried ~ but ~" Donghae said.
" ~ wrong ~ Heechul-ah?" Leeteuk turned to him.
"I don't know! ~ yelling ~ !" Donghae replied. Leeteuk turned back to the door and began pounding on the wood again.
"Heechul-ah! Open ~ door!"
" ~ away, Jungsu-hyung!" Heechul yelled, his voice trembling with rage and...
Hurt?
"Heechul-ah! I-" Leeteuk exclaimed, but I put a hand on his arm. He looked at me and I shook my head.
"Heechul-hyung hurt," I said. "Alone..." Leeteuk looked reluctantly from me to the door and then sighed.
"You ~ right..." he agreed with a defeated huff. He turned to leave, looking back at the door once before turning his gaze to me. "If hear ~ wrong, we ~ dorm..." I nodded and he took his leave, ushering the other members along with him. Donghae didn't move; he looked worriedly at Heechul's door.
"No worry, Donghae-hyung," I tried to assure him. "Wrong, I tell you." He nodded reluctantly and let Leeteuk lead him out of the dorm.
I looked back at Heechul's closed door, grateful that he had stopped yelling; it was really starting to get to me. My expression fell and I let out a sigh; I sat down to the side of the door again. Only one more week and a half of this...
My eyes started drooping and I began to nod off. I gave a yawn and closed my heavy eyelids. As soon as I had done so, the door to Heechul's room opened with a bang, causing me to jump. I looked up to see Heechul's flustered face. Had he been... crying?!!
"What ~ you ~ here...?" he asked coldly.
"Make sure you okay," I replied groggily. I rubbed my eyes and stretched. I stood up and faced him. "Do you want talk?" Instead of answering, he headed straight for the kitchen. Why I outta...
" ~ coming ~ not?" he snapped all of a sudden. I was taken by surprise, but followed him.
Whoa...
