HYOSUNG's POV:

It's been 3 days since appa is hospitalized. I can't eat, I can't talk properly, I can't sleep and I've been absent from school. I was really relieved last time, I thought I was gonna loose him. Please Lord, don't take him away from me. Appa is very important to me. Let him stay by my side

"Hey" Daehyun greeted me softly, stepping inside the room

I looked behind and smiled at him "Please let this guy stay by my side too"

"How is he.?" he asked "Still hasn't opened his eyes.?"

"No" I whispered, staring at my appa and holding his now cold hand "When will he wake up Daehyun.? I-I miss he-hearing his voice"

He sighed, sitting beside me "I know you do"

Staring at him with water in my eyes, I slowly leaned my head on his shoulder, sobbing silently "He doesn't deserve this. I don't deserve this. What do I do.? What do I do.?"

I felt something warm in my right hand. He slipped his hand into mine, intertwining and holding it tightly "You're strong. Jay appa is strong, he'll fight"

I nodded my head, humming "Hmmn"

He looked down, glancing at my face "Are you hungry.?"

"I don't have the appetite"

"Why.?"

"I don't know"

"You HAVE to eat"

"I don't want to"

"Why are being such a pabo at a time like this.? Do you think Jay appa will be happy if he sees his precious daughter starving herself to death because of him.?! I don't think so. You're really a pabo girl"

"Pabo girl" How I miss that nickname. So without arguing much more, I pulled my head away from his shoulder and giggled weakly "OKAY MR. OH-SO-DEMANDING-DARK-LORD, I'll eat"

He grinned before pulling me up my chair "Let's go"

"W-wait, who's gonna watch over appa.?" I asked

"Oh right. I'll ju-----"

"Hyosung, I'm here" umma suddenly interrupted, walking in with a luggage in her hand "Oh Daehyun-ssi, so nice of you to drop by, AGAIN" she teased "I'm really having this feeling that you're not here for my ex husband but for our beautiful daughter"

"Umma.!" I pouted, holding onto her arm

"What.?" she laughed

"You might be just right Mrs. Jacobs" he answered, smiling widely 

"Ooooooohh. Looks like my daughter has a suitor. You have my vote, son"

"Ummaaa" I said, flushing red "U-um. We were j-just gonna go o-out and eat so I-I was wondering if you could watch appa for a couple of minutes.?"

She gasped dramatically, shaking Daehyun's hand "I'm impressed Daehyun-ssi. First, you stopped her from crying and now you actually convinced her to eat. What spell did you cast on my daughter.?"

"Well ----" he began, smirking

I can't take it anymore, I'm blushing like a red tomato. Before, a conversation between Daehyun and appa, and now, him and my umma. So without further a-do, I immediately grabbed his arm, running out of the room "Okay we'll go now.! We''ll be back in a few"

I walked and walked and walked and walked and walked until I can't anymore. I looked behind and saw that smirk on his face, that stupid, attractive, y smirk that always makes me fall hard for him. Yah seriously Jung Daehyun, what spell did you cast on me.? "Why are you still smirking.?!"

He brought his gaze down and I followed, realizing that I was still holding his hand. I quickly let go, and turned my body away from him, completely embarrased "L-let's go"

"You do realize that we're on the 29th floor" he said, although I could still feel that stupid smirk on his face

So I turned around, facing him with an annoyed look on my face "So.?"

"You wanna go down.? Using the stairs.? I don't know with you but that's kind of tiring, regarding the fact that you're already very very very hungry" he grinned. This jerk. This jackass jerk

"What's the problem with using the stairs.?!" I snapped, and even though I was mad, he was still smirking. What a real jerk

He grinned, walking down ahead and holding my hand"Okaaaaay. If you say so"

Daehyun and Hyosung arrived in the cafeteria after 15 minutes. 15 long minutes as what Hyosung had complained. The annoyed look on her face still present while Daehyun is just smiling like nothing happened

"Yah. Will you stop smiling.?! I'm getting really annoyed.!" Hyosung said

Daehyun chuckled "Why are you angry.? Did I do something wrong.?"

"You keep on smiling you jerk, it makes me fall hard for you. Jerk.!" 

"Are you listening to me.?"

"Nevermind. Let's just sit" she gave up, sitting across from him "

"Arasso" he smiled as he sat down "What do you want to eat.?"

"Anything is fine"

"Want me to order for you.?" he offered

She blushed secretly, nodding her head "Okay"

After Daehyun ordered for Hyosung, the table was filled with so many food but no plate in front of him. Hyosung noticed it, frowning her eyebrows at him "Aren't you gonna eat.?"

"No"

"This is all for me.? Yah.! Do you want me to gain so much weight.?!"

"It's better than you being skinny. I like it better when you're healthy"

She blushed again "I-I can't finish e-everything. Let's share"

"It's okay. I'm kinda full"

"Andwaaeee" she whined, standing up from her seat, bringing her plate and sitting near him "Let's share"

"I already said no but you're really persistent. Such a pabo" he smiled

"A pabo only for you" she smiled back, sticking out her tongue

The dinner between them went pretty well. There was some bickering involved of course but throughout, it was pure bliss. Acting like a real couple and not caring anything in the world. They didn't even noticed the people staring at them in the hospital cafeteria. Some older couples smiling at them and the cafeteria ladies squealing from time to time

Done with dinner, they went back. But Daehyun had other plans, he managed to convince Hyosung to go with him in the rooftop garden. And so, after arriving there, they stood near the railing, eyeing the beautiful night sky that is surrounded by city lights

"It's Friday today right.?" Hyosung asked, breaking the silence

"Yeah"

She glanced at him, biting her bottom lip "W-will you come by again.?"

He smiled, his eyes focused on the city "Why not"

"R-really.?"

He paused for a moment, then turning his head to look at her blushing face. He slowly held her hand, just staring at her "Of course. I promised appa that I'll be with you, right.? No matter how many times you push me away. I'll always be here. Even when it gets rough"

"W-why.?"

"Because. . . . .Because I l---"

Just when he was about to say those words. Those words that would make Hyosung faint and fly, her phone suddenly rang. She blinked her eyes, grabbing her phone from her jean pocket "H-hello.?"

"Where are you guys.? Me, IU and the guys are already here in your appa's room" Jieun said through the other line

"O-oohh. Aah. Me and Daehyun are here in the rooftop"

"Wait. Did I interrupt something.? Omo. Soooorrryy Hyosung"

"Ani. I-it's o-okay" she stuttered as she glanced at the man infront of her "Too bad I can't hear it now"

"Can't hear what.?"

Her eyes wide in shock. Much to her dismay, Daehyun knew what she meant. Not being able to say anything, she just stood there, frozen, still staring at him who was grinning widely

Daehyun grabbed the phone away from her ear "You spoiled it Jieun-ah. Thank you so much" he said sarcastically

"Omo.! Omo.! Omo.! I didn't mean to Daehyun-ah.!"

"Now it's your fault she can't hear it anymore" he joked, smirking at her "We'll be there" and with that, he hung up

"I can't hear it anymore.?" she thought to herself

"Come on. They're waiting"

Pouting, she nodded her head as she walked ahead. Feeling a bit sad that she won't probably hear his (almost) confession again

"Don't worry pabo girl. I'm here. At your side. I won't go anywhere" he grinned, placing his hand on her waist as they walk, and for the thousand time, making her blush "FOREVER"
