“Is something wrong?” he asked as he sits on the bed and caressed my cheeks.

“Just thinking about something. Nothing to worry about.” I said bringing his hands down to rest on my lap.

“Are you sure?”

“Mmmm~ What did you brought for breakfast today?” I asked cheerfully. He has been offering me different breakfast menus every single day, afraid that I was going to get tired if we had strawberry pancakes for breakfast everyday.

“French Toast with Strawberry Compote.”

“Looks great oppa!” I cheered but stopped when he was looking at me as if he saw ghost.

“Chae what did you just call me?” He asked and I immediately flushed, remembering my words.

“Thank you for bringing me breakfast everyday Jiyong-ssi~” I tried diverting him away from the subject but knew it would never work.

“Hunchae ah~” damn he’s calling me by my favourite nickname.

“I’m sorry it just slipped off my tongue.”

“No chae you don’t have to be sorry! Could you call me that again?”

“Jiyong-ssi”

“Please?”

“O…oppa?” I said and before I knew it I was facing his chest when he embraced me so tight.

“HUNCHAE AH~”

“Jiyong-ssi?” I asked, trying to make myself heard since I’m sure I would sound muffled.

“Can you call me oppa in the future? Please?”

“Ji…”

“Please?” He pleaded again and this time he was staring at me in the eye.

“I’ll try Jiyong…oppa…” I said softly making him smile. “Erm…shall we have breakfast now?” I asked noticing that he’s just staring at me and I’m sure I would die of awkwardness if it last for another second.

“Ah~” He said as he cut a piece of toast, top it with strawberry jam and fed me.

“You should have some too…oppa…” I said shyly but Jiyong oppa was totally acting like he’s about to fly to space.

“I’m not hungry.”

“Jiyong-ssi~”

”Ok ok I’ll eat up.” He said as he force a big piece of toast in his mouth and I couldn’t help but to laugh.

“Eat slowly. You don’t want to choke do you?” I said and after much contemplation, I decided to wipe the jam off the edge of his lip with a serviette he bought along.

“Thank you Hunchae~” He said with a bright smile. “Oh right did noona mention when they would be dropping by today? I heard from Youngbae that they would be dropping by.”

“Maybe sometime before noon? Unnie mentioned something about having lunch together. Minzy told me yesterday when she was discharged that she would be coming along too although I told her to just rest well at home.

“Alright then.”

“You’re going to leave before they come by?” I asked

“Why missing me already?” Jiyong oppa said cheekily.

“Bommie unnie knows though.”

“That I drop by every morning?”

“Neh~”

“So should I thank god that I’m still alive?”

“Oppa~” I said making him laugh.

“Since noona allow me to enjoy a few hours in the morning with you, I think she deserve some time alone with you too. I don’t think I would be able to leave your side and if noona throws me out of the ward for some alone time you bet I’m going to cause a huge fuss~”

“True~”

“Neh? How would you be so confident about that?” He asked making me panicked for a moment.

“Well…you made a huge fuss when I woke up didn’t you?”

“Ah right~ And I thought you remembered something.”

“S-sorry”

“Hey there’s no need to apologies! Like I say I’m just too impatient. But if you ever do remember anything about us, even if it was something small do tell me alright?” He asked making me nod before we continue our breakfast and enjoy the time we have left before the girls come by.

-Meanwhile-

“Minzy are you really feeling better?” Seungri asked.

“Oppa for the nth time already I’m really really fine! See?” Minzy said before she started to show off her moves right in the middle of the hospital’s carpark.

“Maknae ah why are you so naggy?!!” Bom asked as she block her ears with her fingers.

“Noona I’m just being a caring oppa to my dongsaeng!” Seungri whined.

“Ri~” Youngbae said and although Seungri wanted to defend himself but he choose to stay quiet when Minzy wrap her arms around his.

“Oppa I’m fine so stop worry ahrasso? I promise if I feel even the slightest discomfort I would inform you immediately?” Minzy claimed and all Seungri did was to reply Minzy with a pout and a light pat on her head.

“Youngbae-ssi~” Dara called our making all of them turn their attention at them.

“Yes noona?”

“We’ll just head up first. That dragon better have left or else I’m gonna kick him hard on the out of the room.” Bom said as she walked into the hospital.

“Jiyong hyung? Noona you know Jiyong hyung visits Chaerin?!!” Seungri said as he tried to catch up with his noona as he was curious with why Bom allowed his hyung to continue seeing Chaerin when she was so bend to throw Jiyong out on the first day.

Since Minzy had her arm wrapped around Seungri’s, she was being pulled into the building as well, leaving only Taeyang and Dara alone in the carpark. Ever since that night when Chaerin woke up, Seunghyun and Daesung never joined the group in visiting both Minzy and Chaerin. Since the both of them got into the hospital because of him, Daesung was too guilty to visit the girls while Seunghyun just wanted to hide from Bom so that he wouldn’t hurt her more with his appearance.

However there was once when Seunghyun dragged Daesung along with him to visit Minzy and Chaerin since he felt that his problem with Bom shouldn’t be an excuse to not visit the girls since they were after all his dongsaengs too. Since Jiyong wanted his visit with Chaerin to be just the two of them, Daesung had no choice but to join Seunghyun as the latter didn’t want to visit the girls alone, afraid that it would be awkward.

Despite the girls telling Daesung that they forgive him already after hearing that he has taken up psychological sessions for his mooching, the boy couldn’t go pass himself and his guilt. Therefore even in the case of today where Minzy personally persuaded Daesung to join them, he politely rejected the offer.

“Erm…is there something you would like to tell me noona?” Youngbae asked as he rubbed his nape awkwardly.

“I guess?” Dara said. Despite her gathering courage earlier and manage to call out to Youngbae and get his attention, that was all the courage she had for now until she recharges herself.

“Coffee?” Youngbae asked before he leads his noona to the hospital café, sat her down at a quiet corner with a table for 2 and went off to get coffee for the both of them. “I’m sorry they don’t have affogato so I hope you’re fine with Americano?”

“Yeah it’s all cool.” She said as she took a sip off the cold beverage.

“So…”

“Oh yeah…erm…just want to thank you for taking care of the situation, the girls and…and me over the past few days.” Maybe it was the fact that Youngbae remembered her favourite affogato, Dara found it easier to thank Youngbae for taking care of her.  

“If it wasn’t for you I think…I think I would have caused more trouble for Bommie who had to take care of everything while Chaerin was away. Here this is on...” Dara said as she stretches her hand out to pass Youngbae a bill but was caught off guard when Youngbae wrap his palm against her to reject the treat. “…me”

“It’s alright noona. I’m just doing what I should be doing since I’m the next in line after Seunghyun hyung and leader Jiyong.” Youngbae said and when the both of them ended up in a staring contest, Dara raised the white flag and was about to pull her hand away to keep the bill when Youngbae grabbed her tighter not letting her hand go.

“Erm…”

“Noona I’ve got something to tell you.”

“Sure but my hand…”

“I promise to let go once I’m done so give me your attention noona.” He said and after noticing that he could never get Dara to look into his face, he decided to carry on.

“I’m not sure if noona feels scared after what have happened over the past few days to Chaerin and Minzy but I just want you to know that especially Chaerin made me realise how important we should be cherishing everything when we’re alive. When Chaerin was in coma, I saw how Jiyong lost his soul and it got me to think, fingers crossed, what would happen to Jiyong if Chaerin would never wake up? If it was me, I would regret so hard if anything would happen to you before I could tell you I love you.”

“Y…Youngbae ah~” Dara drifted off and tried to pull her hand back but failed.

“I’m sorry noona. I’ve developed feelings for you since forever but because I was shy and I’ve never been in love before, I didn’t dare to confess, afraid that I would be hurt. I was more afraid that you would only see me as a dongsaeng. I…” before Youngbae could continue, Dara interrupted him.

“I’m sorry too Youngbae ah. To be honest the dates with Minho…those were planned to make you jealous. The girls knew you had feelings for me and decided to make you jealous. It just so happen that Minho ‘volunteered’ himself. I continued dating him cause he confessed that he had something for me, and I felt sorry for using him, which is why I decided to go out with him as an apology as well as a friend. He knew I…he knew I love you.”

“He what?!! You what?!!”

“Erm I think we should join the rest before Chaerin starts to tease us.” Dara said and taking advantage of the time when Youngbae was still trying to register her confessions in his head to run away from the café and took the lift up to the ward without Youngbae.

-Back in Chaerin’s ward-

“Is that damn dragon in there?” Bom asked outside the ward.

“Unnie~” She heard Chaerin whine and taking that as a ‘no’, she got into the ward with Seungri and Minzy following at the back.

“Unnie!” Minzy exclaimed as she run towards Chaerin and gave her a big hug.

“You feeling better?”

“Unnie you’re just like Seungri oppa! I just told you yesterday I was fine~”

“Yah how am I like that rat?!! And besides I’m just caring for you nappeun dongsaeng!” Chaerin said as she gave Minzy a smack on her .

“Ri said that too.” Bom said, joining in to tease Chaerin.

“Unnie not you too~” Chaerin whined.

“Feeling better after having dragon brand breakfast?”

“Unnie~”

“What did oppa make for you unnie?” Minzy asked out of curiosity.

“Anything with strawberries.” Seungri said making all of them look at him. “What? Hyung smells like strawberry every time I see him! And the number of boxes of strawberries at his pad. I swear soon he would be rumoured to be gay.”

“What has strawberry got to do with being gay?” Chaerin asked as if defending for her lovely strawberries.

“Guys who smell like strawberry? Definitely gay~” Seungri said.

“Oppa if Jiyong oppa hears this you’re so dead!” Minzy said making Chaerin pat the younger girl’s head.

“Why is our maknae so mature? Not like someone.” Chaerin said as she stares at Chaerin. “Oh right where is Dara unnie and Youngbae oppa?”

“I’m not sure what happened to our Dara but she seem like she had something to tell Youngbae so we left them alone.” Bom said.

“NO WAY!” Chaerin exclaimed and it only hit her when she sees Minzy and Seungri nodding in agreement to Bom’s words. Just then Dara come running, or maybe brisk walking into the room.

“Wifey!!!”

“Speaking of the devil” Bom said making Dara look at her confused.

“Devil?” Dara asked.

“Unnie where were you?” Chaerin ask, wanting to unnie.

“I…” and in comes Youngbae with two cups of Americano that everyone could see was consumed by someone.

“Hey Chaerin how are you doing today?” Youngbae asked looking at Chaerin but his hands were passing Dara’s Americano to her. Apparently she left too fast that she forgot her drink.

“And did something happen between the both of you?” Chaerin asked.

“Nothing?” Youngbae said before receiving boos from everyone else in the room.

“Guys could you give us girls a moment?” Bom suddenly requested after giving some signal to Chaerin with her eyes.
