It’s been a week since I told everyone about Amber’s condition, but I haven’t seen Hyuna visit her. I was slightly mad at what she’s doing. Just because Amber can no longer remember her, she’ll be like this? She really is a just like the others say.

I was now on my way to the hospital to visit Amber again when I saw her going out of the building.

“Kim Hyuna!” I called her. As soon as she turned around to look at me, I grabbed her wrist to make sure that she won’t run away from me.

“What the heck?”

“We need to talk.”

“So this is how Jung Soojung invite people to talk?”

“I’m serious Kim Hyuna.”

“Okay fine. We’ll talk. Can you please let go of my wrist?”

We decided to talk in the coffee shop just across the office.

“What do you want to talk about?” She asked me.

“Amber.”

“What about Amber?”

“You’re asking me about Amber? How about I splash this cup of hot coffee to your face so you’ll be able to remember Amber?”

“Hah! You’re making me laugh Jung.”

“Why haven’t you visited Amber? It’s been a week but according to the nurses, you never came to visit her since she woke up. You already stopped caring? Why? Because she no longer remembers you? She only has amnesia. Time will come that she will remember you.” I confronted her.

She leaned back and released a deep sigh before looking at me. Her y face earlier changed into a vulnerable girl, about to cry.

“Stopped caring? How could I stop caring for the person I offered myself to? That night you told me that she’s woken up, my heart leaped for joy only to be broken apart when you told me that she lost her memories right after.”

The invincible Hyuna with a y attitude that everyone hates is now on the verge of tears just because of Amber.

“I kept on thinking to myself if I should visit her. I want to see her. I want to hug her. But everytime I was about to get out of my car in the hospital’s parking lot, a side of me prevents me to do so.

“My mind tells me to just let things go. Isn’t the fact that she can no longer remember me a good thing? My brain wishes for her to forget me… everything about me.”

What?

The Kim Hyuna in front of me right now is crying… all because of Amber.

“I don’t want her to remember meeting me. I want her to forget that night I confessed to her only to be rejected because of her love for you. *sobs* I don’t want her to remember  pitying me because of getting judged by people. I want her to forget all those nights that I swallowed my pride and lowered myself, *sobs* offering myself even for just one night so she can forget you.”

“H-Hyuna…”

“Visit her? If ever I see her, and ask me who I am, how should I introduce myself to her? Shall I tell her that I’m the person she accepted despite the fact that people hated me? Shall I tell her that I’m the person who fell for her because of her kindness to a person whom society hated for being a ? Shall I tell her everything that we did?”

Hyuna… I never thought that she’s this person whom everyone hated. The Kim Hyuna who’s right here in front of me… she’s the Kim Hyuna, whom Amber was able to get out of the people thought is nothing but an empty shell. Amber saw the good in her and offered friendship to her.

“Now tell me Jung… Shall I visit her?”

“I-I don’t know… I’m sorry.”

Hyuna’s tears… Is Amber the only person who saw this? Only Amber knows the real her. And because of me… because of me this person right in front of me kept on hurting. She suffered because the person she loves can’t love her back. The worst is the feelings of the person whom she loves, can’t also have her love back.

I’m the worst.

For once, I felt pity for her.

Amber… Did you also feel this kind of feeling everytime you’re with her? If I didn’t exist, will you be able to love her too?

I stood up and bowed in front of her.

“I’m sorry… and thank you.” I sincerely told her, causing the people inside to look at us.

The boss bowed down the model, whom a lot of people hated.

“What the…”

“I’m sorry for being the person who caused you’re sufferings. I’m sorry and thank you for being there for Amber for all those times that I seemed to neglect her presence.”

She finally wiped her tears and showed evil smile, while I get back to my seat.

“Listen to me Jung. Think of it as a blessing in disguise. I’ll get out of the picture and give way for you to have your Amber back. I’ll try to forget her and start anew. But remember this one thing… Once you throw her away again and I pick her up once again… I WILL NEVER GIVE HER BACK TO YOU.”

Author’s POV

It was early in the morning and the hospital just opened its doors to the visitors of the patients admitted inside.

One of the room’s doors opened slowly, revealing a girl wearing sunglasses and a cap, hiding her face. As soon as she saw that the patient she’s visiting is still fast asleep, she went inside silently and removed her cap and sunglasses, revealing her pretty face.

“You still look as handsome as always. It was like nothing happened to you. Look at your face… it’s as you don’t have any problems on your way. I wish I could also be like you.” The girl said as she the patient’s hair.

“Your hair got longer, Amber.” She then sat down the chair beside the bed and stared at the sleeping tomboy.

Soon after, tears start to roll down her cheeks as she uttered her words of longing for the person lying on the bed.

“I missed you Amber… But I think this is a good opportunity for me to let you go. I love you so much so I’m letting you go.

“Let me thank you one last time Amber… for accepting me as me… for teaching me how to love… for bringing the good out of the Kim Hyuna… for believing that a person like me deserves to be loved… Thank you for everything, Amber.” She managed to say in between her sobs.

“But Amber… Just for a favor… if you can… don’t remember me.” She said as she stood up and lean in close to Amber to kiss her on the lips.

“Bye Amber.”

She turned around and hurriedly walked towards the door while wiping her tears. As she was about to turn the knob…

“W-Who are you?” The girl who just woke up asked.

The girl in tears tried her best not to turn around, but managed to answer the question. “S-Sorry. I’m a visitor but… I-I think I got the wrong room.”

Without even letting the girl on bed utter a word, she quickly left the room and ran away from the hospital.
