Taemin instructed some people here and there, before he sat down somewhere. “Brother.” There were no words for Taemin to describe how surprised her was to hear Kai calling him brother, and his eyes widened as he saw Kai's smile. “Did you just call me brother or am I imagining things?” Kai sat down next to Taemin and the two brothers enjoyed the silence for a minute. “Tell me, da- … fath.. you know who I mean; did he ever mentioned my name?”

Only now Kai had found out what happened to his so-called family. Just like with Baekhyun's family, his father had got murdered by Elijah and only now he fully understood why Taemin had helped them. “Mum wants to meet you,” Taemin suddenly said and Kai raised his brow. “Even though he is not my son, I want to meet him. He surely is as alone as we are... that's what she said.”

A strange feeling spread in Kai's stomach and his smile disappeared. “Will she accept me?” There was a huge insecurity inside Kai but Taemin chased those insecurities away. “My mother is a kind woman though I think that she blamed him father for never bring you home but always mention you. Kai, father loved you in his way, he never hated you.”

Taemin stood up and let out a sigh while Kai still thought about his brother's words. “Good luck though with your new position. Don't expect me to bow to you though... rather, just see me as a counselor and a general.” OF course Taemin would return to his old position. There were a lot of things to do and there was no way that Kai could handle them all on his own. “Taemin.” Slowly, Taemin turned around to Kai again. “Thanks. For everything.”
