The MisfitsFor nearly the rest of the evening, Changmin has tried to keep Hana away from his friends, and he had been quite successful with that. Frustrated, she walked into the kitchen to get some blood. It was impossible for her to sense the presence of those guys. Heck, she wasn't even able to feel the presence of a mouse when it was right in front of her. Even though she was a Vampire now, which she hated and despised, she was incredibly weak and that was something she even hated more.
The image of fangs tearing and blood flashed up in front of her. Mari's screams still rang inside her ears again and again. Hana's fingers crawled into the kitchen counter, and she could hear the wood split. Tears threatened to roll down her face, but she managed to hold them back. With a deep breath, she shook off the images, straightened her back and walked towards the fridge.
As she was still a human, blood always tasted the same to her, but now she knew how differently blood tasted, depending on the person; the height, the weight, what they eat, even on their personality. Every blood group had a common note though, which always tasted the same. Personally, she liked blood type O the most, even though she could cope with other blood types as well.
Her hands started to shake as she poured the blood into a glass. It was so hard to hold it back. Too hard to resist the urge to just gorge everything down at once. The blood scent clouded her mind and blocked out everything else. Slowly, her fangs grew larger until she could feel them on her lower lip. Sharp and cutting, pointy. They pulsated, matching with her fast beating heart. The hunger grew and it didn't help as she raised the glass to her lips. Slowly, she reminded herself.
Seconds later, she slammed the glass on the kitchen counter, so that it got cracked. Again, she couldn't control herself and she hated herself for it. Frustrated, she ran her fingers through her hair and rinsed the glass with cold water. Why, why couldn't she do it? Why not at least for a bit? Why? “Created newborns usually have a lot of problems with that. It's a surprise that you still won't go nuts because of the hunger.”
Hana jumped and spun around, her eyes wide in fear and shock. Luhan leaned in the door frame, his arms crossed. He could feel her worry all the time, but now he could feel her anger towards herself, besides the shocked feeling inside her. “What are you doing here?” Hana whispered. Panic rose up inside her, and she immediately searched for a way to escape.
