The MisfitsThe three days past really fast, nearly too fast. Most of the time Hana practiced dancing and mannerisms with either Luhan or Kai. “You are getting better and better.” Kai praised her as she let herself fall on a chair. Not that her feet hurt or something like that but her feet felt weird. She definitely was not made to dance, unlike Luhan and Kai. “Tomorrow hm? And we will travel with horses? My god, I never have seen a horse in my entire lifetime.” Hana shook her head while stretching her legs.
She had an eerie feeling about all that, especially since Kai had told her that it was not unusual for Vampires to wear very revealing clothes for such ball dances. She felt a bit uncomfortable about it since she was not used to expose so many skin and because she was not used to fight in a dress.
“Say, have you already attended many dances like that?” A chuckle came over Kai's lips and he folded his fingers into each other. “As we were younger, we had to, nearly every week. It was such a pain. So many annoying women and men. You don't even know how much more annoying men can be and they are such tatter-tales. It is the worst.” He shook his head and remembered the endless and countless discussions about politics.
He and Luhan and Chanyeol had used to not to go to such meetings. Usually, they had went out into the city and to enjoy the accompany of the normal Vampire, until they had got caught. “Must had been a pretty hard time, hm?” Kai laughed out loud and shook hid head, the expression in his eyes reminiscent. “No, actually not.” His voice softened and so did his expression.
It was a time of laughter and bonding. Even though they had the bodies of adults at that time, they still had been kids in their mind. At that time, everything had been a lot easier and now things where too complicated. “If everything is over, Luhan will surely take you to the places we usually went... if they still exist. If not, then I will do it.” Kai's smile was kind; a smile Hana never had seen on his face. “Maybe you two can show me the place together.” A warm expression appeared on his face and he nodded. “You really do miss those times, do you?” He pulled his one knee up and put his chin on it. “Those times were the happiest of my life. Who wouldn't miss something like that.”
Slowly, his smile faded and his usual expression returned. “You eaves-dropped again.” A chuckle could be heard and Luhan opened the door. “I seriously can't hide my presence from you, can't I?” Kai was one of the people who always could sense Luhan, even when he hid it. That's why his father had decided to put Kai as his son's personal guard; not only because Kai was very skilled in every form of fighting, because of his ability to sense Luhan wherever he was, the possibilities that people would misuse his abilities to attempt assassination on Luhan had also been very high.
