Behind the mask, it was none other Taemin. You could’ve sworn that the guy you were dancing with just a few minutes ago was Kevin. So that means you just shared your first kiss with Taemin and not with your date. Lucky for the both of you, Deanna and Kevin didn’t see it. You couldn’t stop from staring at Taemin with wide eyes.

“Why”, was the only word you could muster up.

“You really think I was happy that you went with him instead of me. Please, you know me better than that.”

“I thought you stopped acting like a jealous ”, you yelled.

Taemin just rolled his eyes and walked over to where you could now see Deanna and Kevin standing. He wrapped his hands around Deanna’s waist, pulling her close to him. She started giggling like a happy school girl. You could’ve believe what you were witnessing; the same Taemin you’ve known for 4 years, was acting like he could own any girl’s heart he chose to. He was sort of acting like player and you weren’t going to let Deanna suffer from the heart break that would surely follow.

Like nothing was wrong, you casually walked up to the trio and stood close to Kevin, letting him put his arm around your own waist. Taemin shot you a death like glare, which you shot right back.

Ignoring him you asked, “So Deanna, did you enjoy the dance?”

“Oh I did!! Taemin oppa is such a great dancer. I had so much fun!!”

“I’m glad you had fun with Taemin. We should probably head back home. What do you say, Kevin”, you asked turning to your adorable date.

“Sounds like a plan. Deanna are you going to ride with us”, Kevin asked his sister.

“I’ll take her home”, Taemin answered with a smirk.

You could tell he was planning something. “Kevin, maybe you should take Deanna home. I’ll ride with Taemin.”

“Oh unnie!! Don’t ruin the fun”, Deanna whined.

“Yeah, ________, don’t ruin her fun”, Taemin mimicked.

You shot Taemin another icy glare. He just smiled sweetly at you.

“Taemin, make sure she’s home by midnight, araso”, Kevin instructed Taemin.

“No problem hyung. She’ll be home safe and sound.”

You watched Deanna and Taemin walk out of the school, arms around each other’s waists like they’ve been dating for months now. It sickened you to watch and what was worse is if Taemin does anything to Deanna, then you’d feel guilty, knowing you could have stopped it.

“Taemin better watch himself. If he hurts her, he’ll have me to deal with”, you thought to yourself.

“Are you ready to go home”, Kevin asked you.

“Yeah, let’s go”, you replied.

Kevin walked you out to his car. You kept thinking about innocent Deanna falling for Taemin’s charms and doing something she’ll regret. You almost completely forgot about Taemin’s little stunt back at the dance. You touched your lips, knowing they were connected to Taemin’s less than an hour ago. You didn’t know if you should tell Kevin what happened or not. It’s not like you guys are dating, but you really liked him. Well, if you did ever have to say anything, you’d just say that you thought Taemin was him. It sounded like an excuse, but it was indeed true, whether he believe it or not.

The car ride back home was filled with a little awkward silence. Unexpectedly, Kevin took one hand off the steering wheel and rested it on your own. The touch of his warm skin made your own tingle. You grabbed his hand and placed it in your own. He looked over at you with a smile on his perfect face.

When you arrived back at your house, there were no lights in any of the homes; yours, Taemin’s, or Kevin’s. You hadn’t turned your cell phone on since you left for the dance so you quickly turned it on. You found that you had a missed text from your parents. It said, “________, we went out to dinner with Kevin’s and Taemin’s parents so we will be back late!! Hope you guys had fun at the dance. Love you.”

“None of our parents are here”, you exclaimed to Kevin.

“I just got the same text from my parents. Why would our parents all be hanging out together? Hmm, weird.”

You just shrugged your shoulders.

“So umm, do you want to hang out at my house until our parents come home”, he asked, awkwardly rubbing the back of his neck.

It was a bit unexpected. “Uh, sure.”

On the outside, you played it cool, but on the inside you were screaming and your heart was pounding.

Kevin opened your car door for you and you followed him up to his house. After unlocking the front door, he motioned for you to go in. The Woo residence was nicely decorated now that they finished unpacking everything. You took off your heels and sat down on the couch, tucking your legs under your .

“I’m going to go change so I’ll be down in a few minutes.”

“Sure”, you said investigating Kevin’s living room.

Kevin ran upstairs and you got up and walked to the mantle above the fireplace. It had pictures of Deanna and Kevin as children. They were adorable kids. You giggled at the cute baby pictures of Kevin. After all these years, he had the same cute baby face that he does now. You were so engrossed in the Woo family photos that you didn’t even hear Kevin come back down. You went to turn around, when you bumped right into him, knocking you both backwards.

“Oww”, you exclaimed.

“Are you okay”, Kevin said laughing.

“Why are you laughing”, you asked a bit confused, even though you were the one who had bumped into him.

“I don’t know. I think it’s cute how you say ‘oww’.”

You blushed as he checked to see if you were okay. His beautiful chocolate brown eyes eyeing your face, making sure you didn’t hurt yourself. Right then and there, you wanted so badly to kiss him. You just had that overwhelming feeling all of a sudden.

Kevin’s index finger and thumb were touching your chin and your cheeks were getting heated from blushing like crazy. You looked up only to find his eyes staring back at you, a bright smile plastered on his face. You couldn’t help but to smile back. Before you knew what was happening, you started leaning your head towards his and like a magnet, gravitational pull moved his towards yours as well. Now only centimeters apart, you could smell his sweet breath on your face. Your eyes started closing and you could feel his lips brush against yours as you titled your head to the side and finally closed the space between your faces.

His lips were so soft it was if you were kissing clouds. The kisses were purely magical. When you guys started kissing, it was if something in your brain zapped, like electricity; a feeling you definitely didn’t feel when you kissed ‘he who better watch his back’ aka Taemin. Kevin’s kisses were innocent and gentle. His hand made it to the side of your face, his thumb caressing your cheek. You wrapped your arms around his neck, bringing him closer to you. Cutely, he nibbled on your bottom lip which made you smile. You opened your mouth letting his tongue gain entrance into it. He explored every available space in your moist cavern, memorizing it. Your tongues battled for dominance and eventually he won. After more innocent kisses, you guys pulled apart.

You were a little surprised that a sweet guy like Kevin could kiss that good. Your cheeks started to grow red again and you looked away, embarrassed. What really surprised you next was Kevin grabbed your head and started kissing you again, but rougher this time. It was as if his hormones kicked into overdrive. You didn’t know how to react to this. You pushed his chest away from you, trying to break the kiss, but it wasn’t any use because you soon melted back under his spell. His arm held you around the waist and your arms made their way back around his neck. Your mind clouded with lust and you couldn’t think straight. His hand sneakily made its way to your back and started to your dress. That’s when your mind because clear and you pushed him back, disconnecting your lips.

“Woah, what are you doing”, you questioned him.

“I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have done that”, he apologized.

“You’re right. You shouldn’t have. Look, I’d better go. Our parents might come home soon.”

You went to leave, but Kevin grabbed your wrist. “Wait”, he said. “Don’t leave. Look I’m sorry. My hormones just got the better of me.”

“Yeah I’ll say. I had a great time with you at the dance and the kisses, well, were incredible, but I really do have to go home. I’ll talk to you tomorrow, alright?”

Kevin dropped his grip on your hand. “Okay”, he said pulling you back to him for another quick kiss.

After you guys parted again, you left, blushing. You grabbed your house key out of your purse and let yourself in. Walking up to your room, you saw that there was a light on inside Taemin’s house. You went into the guest bedroom and looked out the window. Taemin’s car was in his driveway. You wondered why Deanna didn’t go home, unless they had just come home after you’d already left. You were just about to turn away from the window when Taemin’s bedroom light flicked on.

What you saw through the window shocked you. There was Taemin roughly backing Deanna onto his bed. He climbed on top of her, pushing her dress up. All you could was stand there. You were frozen with shock and you couldn’t get your legs to move. Taemin got up again and opened one of his dresser drawers, pulling out a small wrapped package. OMG!! You couldn’t believe what was going on right in front of your eyes. He then turned off his light, but you could still see his figure moving around, back to his bed.

Your legs started working again and you bolted out the door. Your mind was focused on stopping them before they both did something they’d regret. You looked for the spare house key hidden under the potted plant outside their door. Your hands were shaking as you finally got the door unlocked. You ran up the stairs and burst through Taemin’s bedroom door. Thankfully, you arrived before things got serious.

“What the hell are you doing”, you screamed at Taemin as you pushed him roughly away from Deanna who was looking at you with a scared face.

You didn’t even wait for Taemin to react. You just grabbed Deanna from off the bed and dragged her down the stairs and out the door. When you guys got outside, you turned Deanna around to face you. That’s when you noticed her makeup was running and she had tears streaked down her face. She just stood there. Finally, she just hugged you tightly and started crying again. You then realized that Taemin was forcing himself on her. You pulled Deanna back to look in her the face.

“Did he do anything to you”, you asked concerned.

She shook her head no.

“Did he force himself on you?”

She again shook her head no. You were a little confused at her answer so you asked again.

“He didn’t force me to do anything at first, but when he pushed my dress up, I got scared. That’s when he got the out of his drawer, but then you showed up. I’m so thankful you came when you did unnie. I wasn’t ready for anything like that.”

She hugged you again and you were so relieved you stopped it before Taemin did anything.

“You know we can’t tell your brother about this. If he finds out, he’ll literally kill Taemin. They already hate each other so as it is, mostly because of me.”

Deanna looked up at you, confused. “Because of you”, she asked.

“Basically. I don’t know why. I think it has something to do with the fact I like your brother and Taemin likes me.”

“But, I thought he likes me”, she pouted.

“I thought so too, but apparently he just used you. At the dance we kind of, umm kissed.”

Deanna’s eyes got wide. “You what?!”

“When I went looking for him in the gym, it was dark and I thought it was Kevin. When we walked in the hallway, I saw it was Taemin. I’m so sorry Deanna”, you explained hanging your head.

“Unnie, I forgive you.”

You smiled weakly at her. “Taemin played both of us. I would’ve never suspected he would do that, after all, I’ve known him for 4 years and he’s never acted like that, at least not around me.”

“I just want to go home now unnie”, she said starting to tear up again.

Putting a protective arm around her shoulder, you walked her home. Kevin was surprised to find you back, but was even more surprised to see Deanna’s tear streaked face.

“What happened”, he asked, anger in his voice.

You explained to Kevin about Taemin and you kissing at the dance, saying that you thought it was him. Then you and Deana made up a small story about how she found out that Taemin kissed you and that’s why she was crying. Thankfully, it looked like Kevin bought your lie.

“I’ll kill him”, he said angered.

“Calm down Kevin. Don’t worry, when I’m done with him, he won’t know what to do.”

Kevin told Deanna to go up to bed. She nodded and headed upstairs. Kevin looked to you. Suddenly, you felt uncomfortable.

“I knew he’d try something with her. I knew it”, he said slamming his fist against the wall.

“Kevin, don’t blame yourself. It’s my fault. I should’ve seen it coming. I mean I have known him for 4 years, but he’s never acted that way before.”

“And don’t give me this about her finding out that he kissed you. Tell me what really happened!!”

You were shocked by Kevin’s fury. You couldn’t speak. All you could do was stand there.

“TELL ME”, he yelled.

“I--I--can’t”, you said quietly.

“WHY NOT!!!??”

It finally registered with him why you wouldn’t tell him what really happened. His expression was so hard to read right now. Suddenly, he punched the wall hard, making his knuckles bleed. Then he started crying.

“Damn him!!! She’s only 15 years old!! It’s like screwing his own sister for crying out loud!!!”

You cautiously put a hand on his shoulder. He grabbed it with the hand that wasn’t bleeding.

“Kevin, nothing happened.”

“What?! What do you mean nothing happened?”

“I intervened before he could do anything.”

“You stopped him??”

You nodded your head. “I got there before he could do anything drastic.”

“Oh thank you for saving my sister. I love you for this”, he said wrapping you in a big hug and kissing you on the lips.

Remembering what almost happened between you two, made the atmosphere suddenly become awkward.

“I--I can’t--believe I almost did the exact same thing to you. Oh ________ I’m so sorry.”

“Hey, it’s alright. It’s a little different. We’re older and you weren’t forcing me to do anything. I was just surprised. That’s all and I know now really isn’t the proper time to ask this, but does this mean we’re dating now?”

“Oh that. Yes I think we are and I hate to kick you out, but I want to check on Deanna if that’s okay.”

“Yeah, no problem. I’ll be going now. Bye Kevin.”

“Goodbye ________”, he replied giving you a small kiss before you headed out the door.
