Love Like Roses *Completed*
Selina's POV

I sat at the back of my class with my group.

"This is so hard! I'm bad at English," I repeated for the tenth time in a minute.

The group groaned as I pouted.

"Jiro," I started. "Do you know what to do?"

He nodded.

"Just write a poem based on this!" Jiro said.

"Easy," Aaron said. "Here's my idea!"

"Hold on," Hebe said. "Topic's love..."

"Oh, come on," Aaron said. "We can do this! Just think!"

Ella's POV

We walked to the library and picked a spot in a quiet corner.

"So, what's the instructions?" Chun asked.

"Write a poem of any kind based on love. Topic should address group members' past and present, too," I read.

"Ok, so what kind of poem you want?" Calvin asked.

I shrugged.

"Haiku? Rhyming? The one that has no rules, just what we want to write?" Jerry asked.

"The last one! Yes!" Chun exclaimed.

"SHH!!! This is a library," I hissed.

"So, how'd you want to write it?" Calvin asked.

I smiled slyly.

"Show you guys later, okay?"

Ella's POV

I smiled.

"This is it! The poem that expresses all our thoughts on love!"

The rest of the group finished reading it.

"Wonderful! Awesome!" they all exclaimed.

"Library!" I repeated.

Teacher's POV

"Ok, class," I said. "Time to share. I've drawn out of a hat and Calvin's group goes first!"

Ella got up with the rest of the group and read it.

"Love is like a rose.
You get too close and you'll get pricked.
If you leave it alone, you won't smell the fragrance.
It depends on what you choose....
Love is like a rose."

I clapped.

"Wonderful, Ella," the class and I said.

"How does it relate to you guys?" I asked.

"Well, I had a past girlfriend and something happened because I got pricked by love," Jerry said, glancing at Ella.

Ella smiled and glanced at Chun and Jerry.

"I'm sort of in love with someone, but it's just hard for me," Chun said, with a nod at Ella.

"Same with me," Ella blushed. "It's just complicated."

"And I'm not in love," Calvin put in. "I don't get to smell the fragrance and beauty of the rose."

"Aw," the girls said.

"Ok, class," I said, interrupting them. "Let's get on with the program. Selina, your group's up."

Selina got up with her group and read their poem.

"Love is beautiful.
Lovely presents they each share.
Showering kisses."

"It's a haiku," Aaron said.

"We all love someone and couples are really lovey-dovey..." Jiro said.

"What about you, Hebe?" I asked.

"Uhm... love... is wonderful and each couple is blissful. We want a perfect memory, right?" Hebe asked, glancing at everyone.

"Right," everyone said in unison.

"Good job. We shall read more next time," I said.
