No matter how much we try and no matter how much we want it, some stories just don’t have a happy ending.

Breaking up with him was the hardest decision I’ve ever made in my 25th years of living. I had to, he wasn’t happy anymore. He started to point out all my flaws. He told me to shut up, saying I talked too much. But you know what worst than leaving your love ones? It’s watching your love ones falling in love, with another girl.

We work in the same department and we hang in the same group of friends. He’s always around. I was fine, well… I thought I was fine until one day I saw him smiling over his phone screen.

It was our group regular Saturday night bar hopping. He couldn’t leave his hand from his phone, it’s constantly buzzing on the table. His smile grew wider every time he looked at his phone.

No big deal.

Then the next week, I didn’t see him at the office cafeteria. Creative Department always spent our lunchtime at the office cafeteria, simply because we didn’t have time to eat outside. We’re back at our cubicle when he handed each of us a cup of coffee. He handed me a cup of ice Americano. I froze my hand midway.

“Why?” he asked.

I smiled a little, “Kibum, I don’t drink coffee.” I said.
