He was in my criminology class.
The smell of cigarette filled my nose when he took the empty seat next to mine.
I stared at him… way too long.
He sat lazily in his chair with his hands inside the pocket of his leather jacket.
His knees poking out from the ripped of his jeans.
“I would melt if you keep staring at me like that.” He said in his velvety voice.
A smirk formed in my lips as I turned away, focusing on my book.
“I never saw you in this class before.” He said again.
“I never wish to be seen.” I said.
“With legs and eyes like that? It must be hard for you to fit in.” He turned in his seat to face me.
He’s always been a smooth talker.
I didn’t answer, instead I looked at him and gave him a small smile right before the professor entered the room.
“We almost made it, didn’t we?” he said after the professor walked out of the room after bidding his goodbye to the class.
I closed my notebook before turning at him and nodded, “Almost…” my word hung in the air.
“We were almost in love, didn’t we?” he said again after I finished packing my book.
“I was in love.” I said.
“Why did you quit?” he said after the class went empty.
