Worried Sick
Marrying By ContractYou know how fascinating everything is when you’re in first grade? Numbers, letters – how to combine everything in different orders just seem to turn everything into magical things…
When we are able to write full and complicated sentences at once there’s this joy that fills every corner of ourselves.
When we are able to solve every simple yet difficult math problem to such youngsters we rejoice.
As time passes, as we grow older and older everything becomes more difficult and boring. We don’t feel mighty anymore and rather dumb so many times upon so many things that we can cry over the distress inside our hearts.
Well, adults who no longer need to attend school feel this way too. Whenever there’s a difficult decision to make and they want to stand in a steady ground but can’t their hearts also shake and break many, many times.
Difficult was the decision Hyuna had to make right now. She had been pacing back and forth around her living room trying not to approach the window too much but still took a peak once in a while.
Joon was up, the weather was now freezing and he kept shivering. Each time he shivered it seemed like he got colder even though he kept walking around probably – Hyuna thought – to maintain his body temperature.
Three hours had been since the guy of the security company left and Joon woke up.
She saw how weak he was but she couldn’t put everything at rick and bringing him home so she was pretended she didn’t know he was out there.
Meanwhile Joon leaned against the gates staring at the living room’s window where Hyuna was pacing back and forth, her stare glued to the floor and she ruffled her hair once in a while, her hand on her waist and her lips pushed forward as if she was in deep thought.
Joon wondered what she was thinking about so hard – she looked cute. He wasn’t sure about his feelings yet but he knew he was closer to get his answer. Even though he was not being able to leave was proof enough he just didn’t want to believe it – Joon never suffered from one-sided love and he was sure not to start it now.
He chuckled upon that thought. It didn’t seem right form any angle. He knew she still liked Hyunseung and planned to be with him after the contract was over but the more he thought about the whole situation the more it all seemed to unfit.
The hurt in her eyes that he saw the previous night had nothing to do with Hyunseung but exclusively him. Also it had something to do with Nana, he could perceive after her mentioning the girl.
Is she jealous? Joon jumped at that thought taking it hard to believe. Even though he tried to deny his heart couldn’t help but to beat quickly at the hopeful thought.
At that same instant Hyuna looked out and Joon looked in – their eyes met and for a second they just stared at each other, emotionless.
Hyuna – once she regained her sanity – ran to the window and pulled the curtains together, obstructing Joon’s view.
The later scoffed and went to lie on the bench again, staring at the sky.
Jealous? Pfft, jealous my foot! He lay on his side and closed his eyes sensing the goosebump crawling up his back again and again as his cold also increased.

Hyunseung took his motorcycle early in the morning and went for a couple of rides around Seoul. He was rather happy about his new project – CUBE was a blessing!
He was thinking about different dance moves he could come up with to do with Hyuna and even the lyrics for the song. CUBE said he didn’t have to worry over any of that since they had their producers and choreographers taking care of it but Hyunseung couldn’t help but to daydream.
Suddenly a very tall and elegant girl was crossing the road frightening the driver of the motorcycle. The girl bounced back a few steps before Hyunseung could break.
Only at that distance he recognized Jihyun and the place he was – right across from his right side was 4Minute’s dorm.
“Jihyun-ah, mianhae! I was quite distracted and well I didn’t even know I was around here –!” The girl didn’t even spare him a glace getting her bag in place. Jihyun walked – almost floated – forward as if nothing had happened, as if he wasn’t there.
Quickly Hyunseung placed his motorcycle on the sidewalk and ran after her.
“Ya, are you still not going to talk to me?” Jihyun sighed hard and loudly, her grip getting tighter around her bag’s strap. “Ya, what have I done to you to deserve this kind of mistreatment?” She rolled her eyes as she took her IPhone out. Jihyun took some time looking for something inside her bag and then took her earphones ready to plug it onto the iPhone when Hyunseung took her wrist in his hand and turned her around, finding her mad face beautiful like always.
“What do you want from me? More help with your beloved Hyuna?” Hyunseung was quite
