Jiyong's POV 

By just thinking that some man is making Dara busy is making ruckus deep within me. It instantly makes me feel possessive. Feel territorial. And why the hell I am feeling this way? What the hell is wrong with me? We are just good friends. 

Good friends my . Then why you're asking her to be your wife? A sarcastic voice echoed in my head. 

I inwardly groan then stared at Dara who now looked confused as hell. "What is going on? Why you need a wife? And why the hell you are asking me to be your wife?" I was about to grasp her hands on the table when she move away and lean her back on the chair. Her action gave me a punch like hit in my chest then she stared too seriously at me. "Give me a very good reason for this craziness or else I am going to hit you. I am being serious here, Jiyong." 

I scratched my head as I knew that she is truly being serious. "I was trying to acquire a property few days ago but the lawyer I talked to told me about an odd condition." When she frowned, I smiled sheepishly. "Well, I need to be married first in order to have it." 

Something sparks in her eyes that made me worried but it was quickly gone as she frowned again. "Why there is such a condition like that?" 

I sigh. "The papers were under a dead old couple. According to the lawyer who handles their case, the most important thing that is noted in the last will and testament of the couple was that whoever wants to buy the property, that person should be married. Because the property was the fruit of love of that dead couple." 

She inhale deeply then starts to eat her ramen. "If that's the case, just try to buy another property." 

"I cannot. That property was perfect to my plan on having a rest house." But she just continue to eat so I started to get impatient. "Dara." 

She grumbled something that is not audible enough then she lifted her head and stared blankly at me. "Find another woman." 

That rejection gave me a hard thug on my chest while she quickly go back to eat her ramen. "What?" 

She raised an eyebrow after she lifted her head. "I don't want to be included in this drama. That dead couple might rise from their graves because you wanted to fool them. The property was obviously too precious for them." 

"But I badly needed that property." 

"Then ask somebody else." 

When she return her attention to ramen, I found myself staring at her. Maybe I was just being conceited because I honestly thought that she'll agree with me. It seems that I am taking our friendship for granted. "I can't think of anybody else." 

She raised her head and suddenly hit my arm. "Then think of something else, jerk." 

I pout. "I can't think any alternative. Getting married is the only solution." 

She rolled her eyes. "Then you should not break up with Sohee in the first place." 

I stopped for a while as I just realized that even Sohee was my first girlfriend, we never talked about our future together. Now I realized what went wrong to our relationship. "She's career oriented." 

She snorted. "And what do you think about me? An easy going person?" 

I chuckled. "Technically, aside from Mom, you are the closest to me." 

She got startled then I saw another kind of spark on her eyes but she quickly blinked her eyes then she cleared . "Yeah but still, I am not going to join your drama. You are just going to ruin my blossoming love life." 

I stared dumbfounded at her. What the hell. "What do you mean?" 

"I am going out tomorrow with Hoon." 

I felt my burrows almost fused together. "Who is he?" 

She pout. "A newfound friend." 

"When and where did you meet him?" 

She pushed her tongue out a bit. "I won't tell you. I don't want to be jinxed by you." 

I glared at her. "I told you to let me meet whoever this man first before you agreed in going out with him." 

She glared back at me. "And I told you too that my father was dead a long time ago." 

I groan. "Dara, that man might be dangerous." 

"You're being judgmental and it's up to me to decide whether he is someone I can trust." 

I clenched my fist. "I'll join you both tomorrow." 

She gaped. "You are being ridiculous!" Then she suddenly stands up. "I am going to Oasis now." But I immediately stand up as well and blocked her way. "Move." 

"No." 

She was about to hit my arm but I quickly dodged it so I am now holding her wrist. "Let me go. I am not in the mood to play with you." 

I chuckled. "I am not playing with you either. I am being serious here. I don't want you to settle for anything less." 

She stared at me until I got surprised to see her eyes got teary but she immediately wipe her eyes using her free hand. "Let me go." 

"Dara..." I grasped her shoulders then looked worriedly at her. "What's wrong?"
