Second Chance At Forever v2.0
Dara's POV
As the wedding date is nearly approaching, these so-called butterflies in my stomach never calm down. I am both nervous and excited. Well, this is going to be a real wedding anyway between Jiyong and me.
Then I inhale deeply when I heard a knock and Taecyon entered. "What is it?"
"Jessie is downstairs."
I frowned as I am not expecting her then nodded. "Let her in."
"Roger."
Few minutes passed, Jessie entered with a big smile. "Hey, Dara!"
"You seem in a good mood." I said after we briefly hugged each other.
She giggled. "Everything is going well so I missed you."
I chuckled. "You should be glad that no one is giving you a headache."
She laugh. "I know but your creations are more substantial than them."
"That's absurd."
She giggled again. "By the way, I received the invitation." Then she smiled. "Congratulations. I'm happy for you."
I smiled back. "Thank you."
"So there will be a baby soon as well?"
My face flush. "Not yet. Maybe next year or after 2 years."
She smiled teasingly. "So you're going to enjoy each other first?"
My face flush more. "Something like that."
"That's good anyway. Once you have a kid, your attention will surely be divided somehow."
And that's what Jiyong doesn't want to happen. For sure.
After Jessie left, I focused on working until the door opens and my heart automatically thumped wildly upon seeing Jiyong. "Hey, wifey."
I smiled tentatively then stand up. "You look tired."
He sigh as he pulled me closer. "I had a lot of meetings today." Then he buried his face on my neck. "I missed you."
"I missed you too." Then I cupped his face and smiled at him. "I can leave early tonight. Let's have a date. My treat."
His face brightens. "Let's go then."
I only giggled. Later on, we go to our favorite ramen house. "It's really been a while since we went last here." I said as we started to eat.
"Yeah." Then he get my hand and smiled widely as he stared at me. "This ring really suited you."
I chuckled. "The one who bought this definitely knew me well."
His smile grew wider. "I wonder who that was."
I found myself laughing. "I was wondering too."
He laugh as well. After we eat, we decided to walk around. "How's work by the way?"
"Same same, nothing much to tell. Just the usual." Then I chuckled. "Oh I almost forgot, Jessie visited me earlier."
He frowned. "She needs your help again?"
I shake my head. "She just congratulated me and told me that she missed working with me because no one is giving her a headache."
He chuckled. "She should be happy." I giggled. "But with the songs you have right now, you could have an album already."
I smiled playfully. "Do you want me to sign with Phoenix Entertainment?"
He pout. "No way."
I giggled again then we both stopped when we saw a familiar person that just entered an arcade games house at the street across. "Is that Joohyuk?"
"It seems so. Let's see him."
"What? Why?"
But he only smirked as he started to pull me and we hurriedly walk until we get inside and we got startled to see him playing with Sungkyung then Joohyuk almost jump in surprise when Jiyong grasped his shoulder.
"Hyung! My goodness! Don't do it again!" He said after he turned around. "What are you both doing here?"
Jiyong grinned. "What are you doing here with Sungkyung?" He asked him back instead.
"We are just playing." Sungkyung answered calmly.
I smiled to both of them. "Is this a date?"
"No!" Joohyuk exclaimed while Sungkyung had a poker face.
"Really?" Jiyong's grin grew wider.
Joohyuk groan. "Drop that grin, Hyung."
"Does your parent know you are here?"
He groan again. "Hyung, I am not a kid anymore."
I giggled. "But you are here. Playing."
He smiled sheepishly. "Sungkyung forced me to come here."
And that earned him a hit on his arm from her. "You followed me here."
"So you're a stalker now." Jiyong continued to .
He groan again and looked at me with pleading eyes. "Noona..."
I laugh then grasped Jiyong's hand. "Stop torturing your cousin. Let's go now."
He grinned at Joohyuk. "Visit us at the house. I want to have a drink with you."
"Fine. Just go now. Please."
Jiyong just laugh. My husband is really having fun now. Courtesy of Joohyuk.
Then I smiled at Sungkyung. "See you tomorrow." It's her off tonight.
She smiled back. "Yes, Unnie."
As we exited the arcade house, Jiyong squeezed our joined hands. "It seems those two like each other."
I giggled. "Yeah. It was obvious."
Then we continued to walk until we decided to rest at the bench of a park. "I still don't understand why we need to follow those wedding traditions. We are already married."
I chuckled. "Let's just follow them. There's nothing wrong in doing some traditions anyway." His parents insisted that I should stay with them on the day before the wedding.
"But..." He get my hand. "I'm not going to see you for a whole day before the wedding date."
I smiled sheepishly. "Don't think about it too much. A day will pass eventually."
He snorted then he moved his thumb, taking an access to my sensitive palm. As he it back and forth, my heart thumped more. He is heightening my senses with his slow trace and deliberate pattern. When he squeezed my hand then repeated the , I suddenly realized that he was sending me a message. I felt the distinct , long, then short and I stared at him with pounding chest upon realizing what he wrote then he repeated it once more.
I...
Followed by a heart...
And ending with the letter U.
"I can't live without you, Dara. You already know that, right?"
I cleared my throat then nodded. "I am too."
He grinned. "Why don't we just elope?"
I grinned back. "I would love to but unfortunately we shouldn't." Then I laugh as he groan.
On the next day, I meet Bom at a cafeteria near her workplace together with Chaerin. "Since my babe is going to throw a stag party for Jiyong, I believed that we should throw a bridal shower for you as well." Bom said.
Chae grinned. "I know someone who can help us to find a hella kind of stripper."
I groan as Bom squealed like a teenage girl. "You're that excited huh."
Bom giggled. "Because I can already imagine that it is going to be so fun!"
