"Ahhhh!" Chaeyoung growled as she ruffled her hair in frustration.

The webtoon creator had a deadline coming up next week but she hasn't started on her next chapter yet. Chaeyoung heaved a sighed and reached out for her can of coffee but to only find it empty. Frowning, she pushed herself up from her seat and headed to the kitchen. However, on thee fifth step, she stepped on a chip wrapped and fell down.

"Ah!..." Chaeyoung hissed and looked around the apartment. She could've sworn that it used to be bigger. But now with all the clutters of trash and clothes, it made walking harder.

Chaeyoung managed to trudge her way to the kitchen and opened the fridge. Empty. Chaeyoung sighed again.

"Looks like I have to go to the mart... might as well clean." Chaeyoung mumbled to herself.

By the time she was done, she was literally sweating and panting. Who knew cleaning would be such a hassle. After hauling the rubbish to the community dump, she headed back home for a shower before heading out to the mart.

Chaeyoung with bags of chips and cupped ramen in her hand, stood in front of the vending machine to get a can of coke for the hot day.

"Oh? Son Chaeyoung?" A voice called out.

Chaeyoung turned and her indifferent expression changed into a smile.

"Dahyun unnie? Long time no see!" Chaeyoung hummed and waved.

Since their graduation from university, Chaeyoung hasn't seen her schoolmate. Dahyun was quite the popular girl on campus back then. She would get tons of complements and confessions everyday from both genders and she was also known for her amazing piano skills. In present day, she heard that Dahyun had went on to join many piano competitions and made herself known in the piano world. "What brings you here?" Chaeyoung asked.

"I just came back from a tour and wanted to pay my coaches a visit. How have my favorite junior been?" Dahyun ruffled Chaeyoung's hair short hair.

"Fine, at least I'm doing something I like... I Guess..." Chaeyoung said with a forced laugh.

Right, Chaeyoung was Dahyun's favorite junior and still is even though they somehow lost contact.

Why? Chaeyoung was the only person who was real with her. Being popular in school came with a price in the form of fake friends. They were always there for Dahyun in school but never there when she invited them to her recitals. The only person who ever listens was Chaeyoung.

The younger girl was finding some place to do her sketching when she heard the faint sounds of the piano playing. It was very calming and fitted the mood of that quiet and breezy evening.

Chaeyoung finished her sketch in no time and decided to go find out whom the pianist was.

While Dahyun was playing, she had a feeling that someone was sneaking peeks at her. She snapped her head around to see someone ducking down. She headed to the door and pulled it open to see a longhaired petite girl trying to tip toe her way to safety.
