“Aish nini wake up”

 

 

I grumbled and tried to pry the hands of the person who was shaking me, like seriously are they blind can’t they see I’m asleep? While grunting a little i turned my back to the disturbance

 

 

“Jongin ireona!”

 

 

“Let me sleep"

 

 

“ANIYO!”

 

 

And with that they continue to shake me, I grumbled a few incoherent words and got into a sitting position and opened my eyes a little while bringing my hand to my mouth to stifle a yawn and soon  big bouquet of flowers was shoved in my face,

 

 

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY JONGIN”

 

 

And with that 7 human bodies jumped on the bed attempting to hug me, I tried to push them but it was to no avail, I began to feel suffocated all a sudden,

 

 

“Aish...c-can’t breathe”

 

 

“Oppsies sorry”

 

 

And finally they got up and allowed me to breathe, I glanced at each one of them, they were all smiling and Chanyeol and Baekhyun were holding a birthday cake which was simple yet yummy to look at,

 

 

“Happy birthday jonginnie!”

 

 

“Thank you hyung”

 

 

They came towards me and brought the cake infront of me, I smiled brightly, they all began to sing happy birthday cheerfully, I clapped my hands feeling like a kid all over again, and after the song I blew the candles,

 

 

“Come on kai-ah cut the cake”

 

 

Which I did enthusiastically, after everyone ate their share of cake, suho hyung did a small speech,

 

 

“Happy birthday kai ah. I wish you all the happiness in the world and continue on being a good kid like you are. Hyung loves you and don’t overwork yourself neh? And I wish you all the best for the upcoming shooting of your web series be cool and handsome as usual and also hyung wishes that you can release a solo album this year and also prays that you always feel loved and blessed”

 

 

I nodded while smiling, he chuckled and ruffled my hair

 

 

“Okay guys time to hand him his gift”

 

 

After receiving my gifts from the others I noticed that kyungsoo didn’t make a move yet, which is really weird coming from him usually he’ll always be the first one to hand me my gift first but still he didn’t. I pouted a little which didn’t go unnoticed by suho, he came towards me and gave my shoulder a light squeeze.

 

 

“Jongin ah now you may rest again.”

 

 

 

“Okay thank you everyone.”

 

 

They brushed it off and said it’s a normal thing, and with that they went out of the room, I mean except from kyungsoo of course, he was looking at the gifts which were now on the bed, he had a blank expression on his face and was nibbling on his lower lip, I snapped my fingers

 

 

“kyung baby? You okay?”

 

 

He nodded while approaching me, he smiled a little and then sat on the bed between my legs and put his legs on my either sides, I wrapped my arms around him while  he locked his gaze on me, and again he resumed nibbling on his lower lip,

 

 

“Hey stop that babe you’ll hurt yourself”

 

 

“Hmm”

 

 

And he leaned his head on my shoulder, which is quite strange as it’s rare that he initiates skin ship, nevertheless I leaned my head on his and absentmindedly began to rub his back

 

 

“Kyungsoo?”

 

 

“Hmm?”

 

 

“What is it love?”

 

 

He hummed again and wrapped his arms around me and held onto my shirt,

 

 

“Happy birthday jonginnie”

 

 

I chuckled, and pecked him on his head lovingly

 

 

“Thanks hyung”

 

 

“Yea you're welcome”

 

 

But I knew that there was a lot going on inside that head of his, my curiosity was literally killing me, so I decided to ask him

 

 

“Soo?”

 

 

“Umm?”

 

 

“What is bothering you hyung?”

 

 

He rubbed his forehead a little against my shoulder and whispered

 

 

“I didn’t get you a gift jongin”

 

 

Ah! I frowned a little a gave him a little pat on his head,

 

 

“Come on hyung it’s not a big deal so it’s okay. You wished me that’s enough for me”

 

 

But he shook his head a little and detached himself from me, he again locked his gaze with mine and I could see that his eyebrows were furrowed, I brought my hand to unfurrow them

 

 

“You’re gonna get wrinkles if you keep on frowning baby. And I don’t think I would love to date a man with a baby like face with wrinkles on his forehead!”

 

 

 

He punched my shoulder and frowned deeply,

 

 

“Shut up you punk!”

 

 

“Okay but seriously jagiya. It’s okay if you didn’t get me a gift. It’s not like I am complaining right”

 

 

“But jongin you literally showered me with gifts on my birthday, you even lent me your coat for my movie’s promotion. You made me breakfast and literally made everything feel like magic. You literally prepared everything for me with so much love and I.. yet on your  birthday I  couldn’t do anything. Mianhae baby”

 

 

I literally tsked and rolled my eyes, nevertheless I couldn’t help but sigh at his dejected expression, I cupped his face while looking deeply into his eyes,

 

 

“Jagi it’s okay really. You and I both know that I’m the cheesiest and corniest one in our relationship and especially when it comes to shower love on you I can literally do anything. But I know you are not really too much into that department so its okay baby love, I understand now relax okay”

 

 

Still he looked fidgety again, I groaned and bump my forehead lightly against his

 

 

“Kyungsoo seriously stop fretting on it!”

 

 

“Tell me what do you want and I’ll give you”

 

 

I moved away a little from him and raised my eyebrow

 

 

“Anything that I ask you’ll give me?”

 

 

He nodded cautiously, and I couldn’t help but coo mentally at this cuteness infront of me his eyes were more widen than usual and he looked determined,

 

 

“Marry me”

 

 

He squinted his eyes at me and then gasped

 

“W-what?”

 

 

“I said marry me, you’re already 24 and I’m 23 so yea marry me. We’ve been literally together since our debut times and we’ve been inseparable so I wanna take another step! Marry me kyungsoo”

 

 

I expected him to throw a fit but he was neutral, was he really considering it? It’s not like I’ll say no if he really want to take that step. I waited patiently while holding my breath, finally he spoke

 

 

“If that’s what you want yea! I mean I wouldn’t mind marrying you jongin ah. We’ve been together since a while and quite honestly I was thinking that you’ll pop out the question on my birthday or yesterday on our day which is kaisoo/kadi day but you didn’t! That’s why today I didn’t get you anything and was hoping you’ll tell me this when I’ll ask you for what gift you want.”

 

 

If I wasn’t gobsmacked right now it would be an understatement, kyungsoo wants to marry me! He waited for me to pop out question! Oh my god! Without thinking much I engulfed him in a hug and let our bodies fall flat on the mattress, I rolled our bodies from left to right repeatedly and we were both laughing happily, I continued on doing it when I remembered that it’s not as easy as it seems and this literally killed the mood, I stopped and felt gloomy all a sudden I guess kyungsoo sensed my gloomy mood as he detached himself from me and got into a sitting position while looking at me,

 

 

“Jonginnie what’s wrong?”

 

 

He held my hand and squeezed it lightly

 

 

“It’s not easy! We’re under a contract kyungsoo and if the company gets to know that, they’ll immediately take an action and I don’t want us to be separated! I love you so much to let that happen”

 

 

He hummed and then let his body fall on top of me, he pecked my lips and said in a matter of fact tone

 

 

“Of course I know that jongin. But seriously one day or not it is bound to happen right! One day we’ll have to take this step. Did you look at chanyeol and baekhyun? They’re literally married and even exchanged rings, yet they covered this matter intelligently and up till now no one in the company knows that except for our members! So why can’t we do this too?”

 

 

“I know jagiya but..”

 

 

“But what? Is your career more important than us?”

 

 

“WHAT! Of course not! I can risk my career for you kyungsoo but I can’t risk you! You’re part of me baby and god forbids that one day if we get married they get to know about it they'll separate us and even Korean people are not really open towards homouality it’ll just be a huge scandal! So no I don’t wanna take the risk of losing you.”

 

 

I noticed that he was quiet for a long time now, he averted his eyes from me and was glancing at the table that was in our room,

 

 

“Kyung—“

 

 

He got off the bed and went towards the table, he opened the drawer and took out a box, I was really confused, yet he didn’t say anything, he came towards me and handed me the box, I took it feeling perplexed all a sudden

 

 

“Happy birthday jongin. I know I said that I didn’t get you a gift but I lied! Here’s your gift open it and see the content and do whatever you want with it! Throw it of flush it I don’t care!”

 

 

And with that he went outside while closing the door with a loud bang, I was lost, hastily I opened the box and was shocked, inside the box there were 2 rings with an infinity symbol graved on both of them, on the inside part of the ring I could see that he engraved a ‘I love you-KS’ and on the other one  it was the same line but with my name on it. I gasped, he bought rings! He frigging bought promise rings for us! I could feel my eyes feeling teary and I was literally acting like a prick earlier! Clutching onto the box tightly  i my palms I dashed outside in the living room, where suho and lay were cuddled up close together and were watching a movie and sehun was playing on his mobile,

 

 

“D-Did anyone of you saw kyungsoo?”

 

 

Suho who seem to catch the tension nodded,

 

 

“Yea he went outside stating he wants some fresh air”

 

 

I nodded and hastily went towards the main door put on some random coat and ran outside, when I reached in front of the building I looked around but no sign of him! Holy ! Why now out of all this time! I dashed to left wishing that I could see him, after running for like 10 minutes I saw his petite form on a bench, he had his head downcasted and his shoulders were slumped, without wasting time I ran towards him and hugged him close to me

 

 

“Mianhae! Jeongmal mianhae kyungsoo. I didn’t know you were really serious. I mean I’m serious too but I didn’t think you’ll ever buy us rings. Mianhaeyo baby! Really sorry”

 

 

He pushed me a little and cleared the tears on his face,

 

 

“What did you do? Did you throw it away?”

 

 

“Aniyo! I’ll never do this!”

 

 

I brought my hand forward and then opened the box where the 2 rings were residing

 

 

“I love it”

 

 

He groaned and looked at me

 

 

“Kim ing jongin decide on what the ing hell do you want to do with these rings! Do you want them---“

 

 

I cut him short and pressed my lips onto his, I pecked him repeatedly and moved away, he was momentarily frozen I chuckled and said

 

 

“I love it hyung”

 

 

I brought my left hand infront of him he looked at it confusedly and then back at me, I smiled brightly

 

 

“Come on I’m waiting! Slide the ring onto my finger will you pabo!”

 

 

He rolled his eyes but nevertheless took the ring and slide it gently onto my ring finger, I looked at it, it was truly beautiful and it fits perfectly, I felt a sense of pride while looking at it, my kyungsoo wants to be with me forever, he was about to place his ring on his finger but I took it away

 

 

“H-hyung let me”

 

 

Which he did, I took his hand into mine while sliding the ring gently onto his ring finger,

 

 

“Ah it’s perfect”

 

 

He nodded and looked at my hand where the ring was residing he smiled

 

 

“This is just for now. I mean this is a promise or commitment ring but when we’ll no longer be bid to our contract I’ll buy you a better one”

 

 

I shook my head and pulled him into my arms,

 

 

“This one is perfect baby I don’t want to change it. You really got me there!”

 

 

“Yea and I thought you didn’t want it”

 

 

“I was freaked out by the idea of losing you soo.”

 

 

“I understand but still saranghae pabo jongin”

 

 

“Haha. Nado saranghae jagiya”

 

 

“Good as now we’re kinda stuck forever now”

 

 

“And I’m happy to be stuck to you so no worries”

 

 

He shook his head but nevertheless placed his lips on mine and kissed me, he tentatively placed little pecks on my lips and soon he darted his tongue out and was seeking my permission to open my mouth, which I did, and within seconds we began to kiss each other fervently. Still in between the kiss we smiled and again a little happy birthday baby was whispered. And honestly this was the best birthday ever.
