Chapter Thirteen
I'm in love with a criminalChapter Thirteen
Junjin opened his eyes after two days; Andy was asleep next to his bed, holding his hand, while the monitor was bleeping. He was sure he was alive; the ear deafening bleeps proved him right. He was definitely alive – the last memory he had was being shot. It had hurt a lot – it still did.
“Andy,” Junjin’s voice was hoarse. “Andy…I need…water…” he tapped the shoulder.
The bartender must have been really tired since he didn’t wake up even when Junjin was really poking him. Maybe he had been by his side since the day he was brought to the hospital and he had stayed up waiting for him to wake up – eventually sleep had won the younger man.
“Andy…” Junjin snarled huskily.
The throat was really dry, and the water bottle was on the table behind Andy. Junjin couldn’t reach to it so he began to stretch towards it, gritting his teeth, the bullet hole aching on the lower back. He tried not to wake Andy up, knowing he was tired as hell, and let the fingers brush on the bottle. It was almost within his reach, when he fell from the bed and Andy startled awake.
“Junjin!” he crouched down.
The older man was frozen, lying on the floor, looking down at himself.
“Andy…”
“What…?”
“I can’t feel my legs.”

Dongwan and Minwoo had returned to the bar after staying with Andy. The bar was still wrecked, and nothing had been touched, so snooping around was way easier. Minwoo was searching for leads, while Dongwan was mulling over the things happening in the past.
“Why would Eric hurt Junjin…?” Minwoo whispered.
“He finally realized who you belong to.” Dongwan talked.
The older man looked around at the bar.
“They were looking for us…” he murmured upset. “Why would he do this to me…?”
Dongwan leered at his lover; he actually felt sorry for him.
“You chose me…” He crooned.
Minwoo watched over his shoulder, turned fully around and cupped the face of his lover when he was close to him. He planted a soft but moist kiss onto the lips of the younger man and pulled off – their lips were glued when they pulled off.
“I don’t regret it…” Minwoo whispered.
Dongwan flashed a brief smile before he turned serious again and stared into Minwoo’s eyes. Thoughts ran through his mind when he mumbled, “If he had touched you…I wouldn’t have waited a second to kill him.”
Minwoo lifted his hands to the pecs.
“I wouldn’t hesitate. Not now…not ever.” He recited.

Dongwan hadn’t returned home yet.
Minwoo had not been around him long enough, but he was worried.
He missed him.
And he wanted to know where he was.
To think that he was a criminal always brought an uncomfortable feeling inside Minwoo’s stomach. Dongwan was a good criminal; he could use any weapon really well, and Dongwan rarely got hurt. Still, Minwoo had developed this feeling that…he should be worried.
Minwoo stood by the window, even though he had learned his whole life not to look out of one. He didn’t care. He wanted to see Dongwan coming home safe and sound. Once an hour past Minwoo decided to take his gun and walk out of the door.
He had not acted like this before, but Eric had taught him important things whilst they’d dated.
Minwoo stepped outside.
And immediately stopped.
Dongwan was touching some girl’s face.
He was leaning in.
And their lips touched.
Minwoo dropped the gun to the ground, his eyes widening and the pupils shrinking, and gained the attention of the two. Dongwan stepped back from the girl, and the girl was staring at Minwoo bewildered.
“Minwoo ya!” Dongwan yelled once the older man ran away from them.

“WHY CAN’T I MOVE!?”
“Junjin, calm…down…please…”
“ANDY, TELL ME! WHY ARE MY LEGS FLOPPY!?”
“I will…just…just calm down…and I will tell you.”
“ANDY! I WILL KILL THAT GUY! I WILL…I WILL…!” Junjin stopped yelling once the tears rolled down his cheeks and he hugged Andy tight.
The bartender wrapped his arms around the other guy and sobbed silently too. Junjin was gripping the shirt hard, pulling it and creasing it. It was the least of Andy’s problems as he sat down to the bed and felt the shoulder getting wet. Junjin was sobbing loudly, shuddering.
“I’m sorry…I’m so sorry, Junjin.” Andy whispered.
“It isn’t your fault.” Junjin cried.
It was not, but Andy felt like he was partly a reason for this thing to happen. Junjin had jumped in front of him and taken the bullet for him; he had hurt himself to get Andy saved.
“I could have saved you,” Andy hollered.
“No, No, I love you, I did it for you.” Junjin grasped the neck. “You mean more to me than you think. I don’t care…that I can’t move anymore…I don’t care…about my legs. You are here. If you weren’t and I’d still be handicapped…I would…wouldn’t endure.” He stuttered.
Andy pulled off and put his hands onto the cheeks.
“Nothing will ever happen to me…ever.” He promised.

Dongwan cleaned the place after examining it and turned to the door once it was opened. It was Hyesung.
“Hey! Where did you go?” The older guy asked.
“Ah, I had businesses.” The pretty guy replied with a smile on his face.
Minwoo went to Dongwan, lifted the arm up and cuddled himself underneath it, standing right beside him and greeted the taller guy.
Hyesung glared at them.
If you follow my every lead…you will get Dongwan.
“Glad to have you back.” Dongwan grinned. “We need your help.”
Don’t let me down, Pilkyo ya.
