Chapter Twelve
I'm in love with a criminalChapter Twelve:
Andy kept screaming.
It sounded tragic.
And the gunshots stopped after couple of seconds – nothing seemed to be in order downstairs. Dongwan grabbed his gun and protected Minwoo in case something was definitely wrong downstairs. Minwoo was breathing heavily.
“Wan ah…” he clung onto the younger man.
“Shh…” Dongwan ordered, gun in front of his face.
They stopped behind the wall, breathing slowly. Dongwan’s finger was on the trigger, Minwoo hugging his other arm, shirt undone, as Dongwan peeked over the side and gasped. He dropped the gun by his feet, and his husband panicked.
“Wan…Wannie…?”
Dongwan grabbed the hand, squished the fingers, and yanked him behind him. Something had happened – there were signs of a fight, and Minwoo could see the tables upside down, chairs being thrown away and…he startled and halted his steps, Dongwan standing in front of him, pale white.
“Junjin…Junjin ah…Jin ah…” Andy cried, slapping the face. “This is not funny. Open your eyes…please…” he was on his knees next to the tall man, who was eyes closed, blood oozing under the body.
Minwoo and Dongwan were frozen.
“Junjin ah…”
“What happened…?” Minwoo questioned.
Andy neglected the two guys, trying to wake his stripper up, repeating that this was not a funny joke at all. Eventually Dongwan wrapped his hand and pulled him up, slapping the chubby cheek brutally, a red handmark tattooed to the skin.
“Talk or he will never survive!” Dongwan yelled in anger.
“Wa…Wan ah…” Minwoo tried.
“TALK AND WE CAN STILL SAFE HIM!”
Andy swallowed his tears, wiped them to his sleeve and then faced the two older hyungs. “Some guys came here – some, I had never seen before – and demanded money. They said they were impatient and needed it now, and I tried to convince them that they were at the wrong bar. I owe money to no one!” he explained. “Junjin appeared, and he told them to leave. That was after they had attacked me, and he rescued me. I thought he could actually do it…” he sniffled. “…then I heard a gunshot…and Junjin fell down…”
Dongwan gritted his teeth, and Minwoo kept gasping.
“I heard another gunshot…” The other criminal muttered. “What happened?”
Andy had kneeled down beside Junjin again, and was trying to press the oozing wound. “The guy…he was about to shoot him again, but I managed to shove him away…” he said.
“Did they say anything?” Minwoo murmured, leering at Junjin, while someone was calling the ambulance. “Did they say anything at all?”
Andy nodded.
“What?”
“This was a message from Mun Jung Hyuk…”

Eric bit the side of his bottom lip and glared at the figure in the darkness. The figure was shuddering, possibly because he was nervous and glowered at. The gang leader’s eyes were dark with fury as he stood up and placed his arms above his chest.
“You have failed me…” he mumbled.
“I…I didn’t mean to…I…I have tried…”
“Stop with this nonsense!!” Eric shrieked. “You let your precious little feelings affect your work and that led you betraying me!” he added.
The person in the shadows gulped loudly.
“You were supposed to make sure they would never see each other again!” The leader exclaimed, advancing the person. “Yet…you made me look foolish in front of Minwoo.”
“I promise you Eric…” The guy stated. “You will get him. I will make sure…”
“You better…or I won’t grant your wish either…You may go…”
The person bowed quickly, turned around and approached the door.
“Oh, and Pilkyo-sshi…”
The guy halted.
“If you betray me, you will have to say goodbye to Dongwan.” Eric said coldly.
