I always thought of my brother as a weird human being; actually, I firmly believed he was an alien when I was in middle school. However after opening a certain box I guess my intuition has never really worked.

Scratch that, that's not my sixth sense at fault here. It's everything I see, hear, feel and do that's not working. I am probably crazy and hallucinating but are all mad persons so lucid in their madness? 'Cause I swear they really seem REAL.

Oh Geez. There I go. I just admitted it.

Nope.

I won't, I repeat it, I will not acknowledge them—

"AAAISHH!"  - A loud scream followed by an equally loud crash could be heard in my kitchen. After not even two seconds it also started a very loud bickering.

I face-palmed myself, If I really had to hallucinate why did my mind have to create such loud and noisy creatures?? Sighing, I headed downstairs to assess the situation. I know it was not real but I was not a sane person after all, I actually believed in my insanity.

And trust me, even I wanted to congratulate myself for creating such complex, nerve-wracking and life-like images.

As there stood my kitchen, my baby, whom I had just cleaned with so much care, being completely violated.

On the floor a burning pan and a mixture of what I supposed where vegetables, hard to tell as they had been cut, chopped, smashed and god-know-what-else, strewed all around. Oh, also...Did I mention the oil? Cause there was burning oil on the pan, on the floor, on the kitchen counter and the stove. The Flame of the stove still burning and the awful mess of knives and peelings on the counter finished it off...

"Oh no! I told you the human would come!"

"General take care of the flame, Healer?

"Shiiiit! Ouch ouch"

"Got it, sir"

While they kept fidgeting and communicate ( read 'yell at each other' ) and trying to manage the situation by themselves I stood there marveling the incredible work of fantasy my mind created, without uttering a word. 

Twelve things... Creatures with... Chibi-like features, not bigger than a smurf, were in front of me.. They said we had a pact.

We would offer 'protection', as the little leader called it, to each other.

Now.

Try to imagine what realizing you are hallucinating means, and if that's not enough for a mental breakdown, add the fact that your creations offer you a pact, that's profitable only to them I might say, and once you refuse it, trying to go to the normal world by ignoring them and convince yourself they are,  indeed, not real, they tell you you have no choice for you had already sealed it.

'What!?–When?– How??' you may ask. I did the same and apparently I did the oh-so-great mistake of sealing the oh-so-mighty covenant by taking a useless box inside my home. Yup. Just like that. Weird, isn't it? Who would have thought that receiving a lame box would cause me such a shock to make me go crazy. I came to the conclusion madness runs in the family, I mean, have you seen my brother? No? Well, either way it's always his fault.

"-sshi?" One of  the minions asked. Was he talking to me all along? I blinked, he was cute as hell I had to admit, and with those lovely owls eyes and heart-shaped lips he was just plain adorable. I resisted the urge to lift him up and hug him senseless for I was angry. I frowned looking once again at the mess they created and then went back at staring at it, I mean him, I mean...whatever it is.
