Questions can't always be answered

Girls' Generation and the Attack on Muggleborns

“Place her on that bed, please” Madame Pomfrey exclaimed as soon as Yoona entered the Hospital Wing. “From the look of distress you have right now I can tell this is Miss Seo, am I right?”

Yoona nodded slowly as she wiped the tears that kept falling from her face.

She gently placed Seohyun in the hospital bed and Madame Pomfrey gave her a cloth and a bowl filled with water.

“I’m going to go prepare a draught for the pain I’m pretty sure Miss Seo is feeling right now, can you wipe her wounds? With care please” She asked and Yoona nodded. “I would clean it with magic but these wounds don’t look too deep and wounds like that are harder to fix with magic since they’ll heal by themselves in a small amount of time and they are quite a lot, but I can’t risk it, so please, clean them so I can proceed on checking them.”

Yoona just nodded again, she actually didn’t listen to anything after ‘wipe her wounds with care’. She took a chair and pulled it over beside Seohyun, she wetted the cloth and started wiping Seohyun’s face with it.

“I’m sorry…” Yoona whispered as she wiped softly the blood and dirt on Seohyun’s face. “I’m sorry I couldn’t do anything to protect you.”

“It’s okay.” Seohyun’s voice came out, a bit broke and pained. Yoona’s eyes widened as she watched the young girl open her eyes slowly, even with cuts and bruises all over her face she managed to look absolutely astounding to the doe eyed girl.

“I had a feeling, a bad one and still allowed you to play.” Yoona said sincerely, she helped Seohyun sit up and continued to help her wipe her neck and the exposed parts of her arms. “It’s not okay.”

“It is okay.” Seohyun replied stubbornly. “I wouldn’t have listened to you even if you kept insisting so it wouldn’t have made a difference and you know it.”

“Seohyun’s right, you know?” Came Hyoyeon’s voice from the door. “She’s stubborn as heck.”

Seohyun smiled weakly and Yoona couldn’t help but return the smile.

“Oh, the rest of your, as you youngsters say, crew is here.” Madame Pomfrey said as she made her way in. Seohyun just nodded as she tried to adjust herself, Yoona helping her as soon as she noticed she was moving. “Miss Seo, are you uncomfortable with them seeing you in your underwear?”

Yoona then stopped wiping Seohyun’s arms and the latter just widened her eyes at the question.

“My… my underwear?” Seohyun said, a small blush now accompanying the purple shade of some parts of her face.

“Yeah, I need to check your whole body for bruises and to see if any of those will need a draught, a poison or a spell.” Madame Pomfrey said simply. “I can do it with them watching or I can just throw them out.”

“I…” Seohyun started. “I don’t mind.”

Madame Pomfrey nodded and helped Seohyun stand up and then slowly took off the young girl’s clothing.

The youngest of them all groaned as the clothes came off her body, and rather than be looking at her body with an ulterior motive in mind the rest of the girls stared… horrified.

Her shoulders, her tummy, her legs, her arms, they were all covered in bruises and small cuts.

“Is my body that ugly?” Seohyun said through a small chuckle, trying to lighten the mood.

“How did this happen?” Asked Madame Pomfrey as she examined the girl body.

Seohyun lightly described what happened and Madame Pomfrey just nodded.

“Lay down, I’ll bring you a gown for you to wear.” Seohyun did as she was told and quickly covered her body with a blanket. “Drink the draught I left beside you, it’ll stop the pain, although you have a lot of bruises none of them are deep, so it’s better just to give you something for the pain and let them heal themselves.”

Seohyun just nodded slowly and Madame Pomfrey headed out of the room, in search of a gown for her to wear.

“Hey Seo, why didn’t you tell us you had a hidden s line?” Sooyoung jokingly said, noticing the tense atmosphere.

Sunny just glared at Sooyoung and the latter just smiled sheepishly at her.

“Sorry, not appropriate moment for comic relief, noted.” Sooyoung said awkwardly, causing a small chuckle to escape Seohyun.

“I’m okay, stop worrying.” Seohyun said and as if on cue, Madame Pomfrey entered the room and handed her a gown.

“I’ll leave you with your friends, call me if you need anything.” She said and Seohyun nodded. “Don’t forget to drink the draught.”

Seohyun quickly put on the gown, not forgetting to let out several groans and whimpers as she did so and then proceeded to drink the draught.

“It tastes hideous.” Seohyun said as she grimaced, the bitter flavor of the draught lingered on her tongue.

“But it stops the pain, right?” Jessica asked, causing the youngest to agree.

“Then it doesn’t matter.” Yuri continued as she looked sternly at the younger girl.

“Is the pain gone?” Yoona asked Seohyun.

“It’s slowly fading, why?”

“Because I have a huge need to hug you out of relief and I don’t think I can control it for long.” Yoona replied honestly, Seohyun blushed and the rest just smiled to one another, sure that soon enough Yoona would confess.

Seohyun, with her cheeks still flared, opened her arms wide silently telling Yoona to just go for it.

The moment Yoona noticed that, she couldn’t help but launch herself at Seohyun, half lying on top of her, hugging her so tight as if not wanting her to let go.

“Yoona…” Seohyun whispered as she felt Yoona shed silent tears against her neck.

“Just let me.” Yoona replied immediately, in barely a whisper. “I was so scared, I don’t want to lose you.”

“You’re not going to lose me.” Seohyun answered, she wrapped her arms around Yoona’s frame, pulling her even closer. “I’m right here, okay?” Yoona just nodded against her neck and she smiled unconsciously. “I’m a stubborn one, am I not?”

Yoona tightened her hold on Seohyun and whispered something she hadn’t intended to blurt out yet.

“I just like you a lot Seohyun.” When Yoona realized what she said she leaned away from Seohyun slightly to notice the girl’s reaction, she noticed she had her eyes wide and lips shaped liked an o, the expression slowly changed to a bright smile.

“Yoona, I-” Seohyun started but before she could continue, someone stepped in the room.

“Am I interrupting something?” Professor McGonagall said as she walked in.

“Yes.” Taeyeon replied simply.

“Then I’m sorry, but I came here to fulfill your request Taeyeon.” The headmaster said with a motherly tone as she placed a hand on Taeyeon’s shoulder.

Everyone shifted their attention to the old woman, wanting answers that Taeyeon wouldn’t give to them.

“I’ll assume Miss Kim already told you what I had told her.” They all shook their heads.

“She said you told her not to say anything and until you said it was okay to do so she wasn’t going to betray your trust.” Tiffany said as she looked at the principal who just nodded and couldn’t help but smile at the younger girl.

“Well, unlike what you think…I can’t tell you much.” McGonagall said with a sigh.

“Is it something super secretive or something like that?” Hyoyeon asked.

“No, the problem is…we don’t know much.”

“What do you mean, professor?” Sunny asked this time.

“Look, the reason all you girls are here and not in Korea is because… we found a prophecy about the nine of you in the department of mysteries about two years before Miss Kim, Miss Jung, Miss Lee and Miss Hwang received their letters.” McGonagall started, the girls just looked at each other with confused gazes. “We were so confused as in why would a prophecy about some Korean girls would be here in The United Kingdom but we supposed it was because it was somewhat related to us.” The girls just nodded, eagering her on. “But we have no idea so far why is it, maybe it’s linked to this sudden attacks… but like I said, we don’t know much so we can’t be sure.”

“So… we’re completely in the dark?” Taeyeon asked and McGonagall shook her head.

“There’s the prophecy.” McGonagall said. “But we haven’t figured much from it, maybe you could.”

“Oh, are you telling it to us?” Jessica asked this time and the headmaster once again shook her head.

“I’ll take you to the Department of Mysteries for you to listen directly to it.”

“Right now or until Seohyun’s healed?” Sunny questioned.

“I’m taking you there during Christmas’ break; I need you to analyze it as much as you can so you can get a conclusion.”

The girls looked at one another and nodded.

This sounded like a difficult task, but together, they’d get it done.
