The girls had decided to gather all together near the quidditch fields, but unlike some other times… they weren’t accustomed to see.

Taeyeon and Tiffany had gotten there earlier and decided to make use of their alone time… by snogging of course. When the rest of the girls got there, Taeyeon was sitting against a tree while Tiffany… well she was straddling Taeyeon; they were kissing heavily and passionately.

“Wow, let’s see how long can those two hold their breaths.” Hyoyeon said with a teasing tone. They noticed Tiffany’s arms lock around Taeyeon and tangle her fingers in Taeyeon’s blondish locks, pulling her even closer.

“Yuri, can you and Jessica hold their breath that long?” Sooyoung asked. “I haven’t tried with Sunny so I don’t know.”

Sunny’s hair turned slightly pink, contrasting quite a lot with her blue and bronze quidditch uniform, and slapped Sooyoung’s arm shyly.

“That’s nothing.” Yuri replied with a playful smirk, Jessica blushed and Yuri wrapped her arm around her shoulders, bringing the girl closer to her body.

“Really?” Asked Seohyun innocently. “I feel like I would’ve died from lack of air already if I was under such conditions, I haven’t seen them pull out for air for at least five minutes.” They all stared at Seohyun with widened eyes, not expecting the younger of them to make such a comment.

“Have you ever kissed someone, Seohyun?” Jessica asked and Seohyun blushed before shaking her head.

“That thing about being breathless when you kiss someone is not entirely true,” Hyoyeon said simply. “Unless you’re in an almost situation.”

“How do you know that?” Yoona asked cluelessly to her friend.

“I have my ways.” Hyoyeon responded with a wink and the girls just laughed, thinking she was joking around.

“Should we stop them?” Sunny asked. “Our game starts in like twenty minutes.”

Just then they noticed how Taeyeon’s hands started slowly creeping lower and they all knew it was time.

“Hey! people!” Yoona exclaimed. “Take a break!”

The couple finally broke away, blushing as they noticed the girls’ presence.

“Sorry”. Tiffany murmured as she turned around, now sitting down between Taeyeon’s legs, back resting against Taeyeon’s front and facing the girls.

“We should’ve known you’d be people.” Jessica said nonchalantly.

“Yeah, all that eye- must’ve been a clue.” Sunny continued as she smiled teasingly.

“Is your teasing a way to release the pent up frustration of having just kissed once in a whole week of being with Sooyoung?” Taeyeon replied, with a smirk that caused Sunny to blush.

“Hey!” Sooyoung said, coming out to defend her girl. “Every relationship goes at a different pace, it’s not my fault you and Tiffany go at firebolt speed.”

Before they could continue bickering Yuri interrupted.

“In case you don’t remember, Sunny, Seohyun and Jessica have a game like in fifteen minutes.” Yuri said with a tone that was finally able to stop all bickering.

“Yeah, we just wanted to wish you guys good luck.” Hyoyeon continued. “Seohyun, are you sure you want to play?”

“No doubt in mind.” Seohyun replied with a determined smile. “I have my stuffings from last time; hopefully it’ll work just as effectively this time.”

Yoona just grimaced at this, she didn’t want the girl to play and she had voiced out her worry for her during the week, but Seohyun was far too stubborn.

She just hoped for the best.

All players were already on their brooms, ready to start the Ravenclaw VS Slytherin game already.

Seohyun closed her eyes, calming all her nerves down and washing all her worries away, her team, her house, her friends trusted she would be and do alright, so she had to do so. She didn’t want to disappoint anyone.

The whistle sounded and she opened her eyes, ready to receive anything the Slytherin chasers would send her way. She watched Sunny compete with a bulk guy from Slytherin for the quaffle and knew that Sunny was smart, so she probably would expect her to catch it when she throws it her way and get it after, using the rebound as a strategy to be able to score.

She noticed how Sunny backed away a little and the guy headed her way, a beater sent a bludgers her way to distract her from covering the hoops, she avoided the bludgers with ease and she thanked that her broom didn’t freeze this time and she then launched herself out of her broom for a second, managing to catch the quaffle between her hands firmly before she locked it under her arm, she fell back into her broom expertly, and as she was watching the glares of the Slytherin chasers she couldn’t help but feel extremely proud of herself for being able to cause that on them.

She threw the quaffle at Michael, who caught it perfectly before speeding off, thankfully things haven’t turned awkward between them after she rejected his confession, she then passed it to Sunny, who expertly avoided every member of the Slytherin team until she reached the hoops, it seemed as if she was going to aim at the lowest hoop and she threw it in that direction, causing the keeper from Slytherin to go in that direction, another chaser from Hufflepuff caught it before the keeper and send it to Michael, who was near the highest hoop and scored with ease.

Jessica watched everything go on from the sides, although she felt quite proud of Seohyun and Sunny for pulling such a great move she couldn’t help but feel slightly mad at her keeper for not being able to stop the quaffle, after all, although she was friends with Sunny and Seohyun outside the field, inside the field she had to stay objective, she wanted to win, so that immediately meant they had to lose.

It’s only logical.

She watched as another perfectly planned strategy by, she was sure, Sunny was pulled off perfectly by the Ravenclaw team and earned them 10 more points.

Seohyun had already stopped three very powerful shots from her chasers and Sunny had effectively directed some strategies and scored every time.

It was all on Jessica if she wanted to win the match, Ravenclaw’s team was far too strong on the other positions, but she had advantage over the seeker, she just had to make sure to catch it, another score from Ravenclaw could be heard in the background, before Ravenclaw scores over 150 points.

She finally spotted the snitch near the Teacher’s bleachers by the time Ravenclaw had already scored 60 points, she quickly flew to it, noticing the other seeker was closer but hadn’t notice the snitch.

She almost reached it, but she was abruptly stopped by some sort of energy shield that suddenly appeared, surrounding the whole field and not allowing anyone from the bleachers to enter nor anyone on the field to get out.

Jessica started kicking shield, not really knowing what else to do.

She groaned in frustration and she looked around, every quidditch player seemed as confused as she was.

But then… every player in the field, except for herself, Sunny and Seohyun squirmed violently and a second later they all looked in Seohyun’s direction, their pupils gone and their irises turned a bright turquoise.

Seohyun noticed this and tried to fly away, but her broom had frozen once again.

Just after that all the players headed in Seohyun’s direction and captured her in the middle, they seemed to be attacking her.

Sunny and Jessica headed to where Seohyun was too, they tried to pull the players away, to see what they were doing to Seohyun, but there were too many and they were too strong, they couldn’t have their wands with them during a quidditch game so they were sure the attack on Seohyun was being purely physical.

They helplessly tackled the other players but as they heard Seohyun groan louder from the center of everything they realized that since they were cursed they couldn’t feel anything but Seohyun could feel everything.

They just looked at each other, hearing Seohyun groan, whimper and even sob from the middle of the bunch of players, desperately looking for a way to help the younger one but failing to do so.

They flew to the limits of the shield, just in front the teachers’ bleacher where they watched everyone looking at the scene with a horrified look on their faces.

They banged the shield with a lot of force, feeling their own tears stinging in their eyes.

“Help!” Sunny yelled, her hair a deep black, all her logic vanishing from her brain as she just wanted someone to help Seohyun. “They are hurting her please help us!”

She noticed as Professor Lockwood motioned them to stay away from the shield, and just as they did so he started shouting and throwing spells around the shield, trying to bring it down. They looked down, only to see Yoona banging wildly against the lower part of the shield, just behind where Seohyun was tears streaming down the doe eyed girl’s face as she couldn’t tear her gaze away from the youngest of them who was getting relentlessly beaten up.

Professor Lockwood kept firing hexes in direction, each attempt more desperate than the one before, on the shield until he suddenly found the correct one, the shield suddenly vanished away and as if linked in some way, all the quidditch players started leaning away from Seohyun, they all watched as Seohyun’s body, totally beaten up, lazily fell from her broom as all the players let go of her.

“Aresto Momentum!” Yoona said as she pointed at Seohyun’s falling body, Seohyun’s falling speed to almost none, making her able to catch her in her arms as the girl almost reached the ground, she noticed the bruises all over the girl’s bodies and felt herself let out a sob.

“What the bloody hell is wrong with you?!” She yelled loudly at all the quidditch players who seemed to be confused as of now. Jessica and Sunny landed just beside them. “Why did you do that?! What did she do to you?!”

“Yoona, we looked in their eyes, they were cursed..” Jessica said as she handed Yoona her broom and helped her on.

“I don’t give a darn.” She said, mad. “Just… just why her… why not me, I’m a muggleborn too... why is she the one who’s getting more hurt?” Yoona said between sobs as she looked at Seohyun’s face. “I’ll be off.”

Jessica and Sunny looked behind them as they heard a noise, they found the professors and their friends looking completely confused.

Taeyeon madly strode forward, but rather than heading at them she headed to professor McGonagall.

“You promised me!” She yelled at the headmaster, causing everyone to make a surprised expression. “You promised me you would protect them!”

“Miss Kim, I-” McGonagall started as she seemed stunned by the small and normally quiet girl’s outburst.

“You promised me you would protect them…” Taeyeon continued with a softer voice, tears threatening to fall from the corner of her eyes. “You said you wouldn’t let them get hurt… you lied to me…”

Jessica, Sunny, Yuri, Tiffany, Hyoyeon and Sooyoung stared at McGonagall with questioning eyes, the headmaster suddenly felt very aware of everyone’s gazes on her.

“Taeyeon…” McGonagall started. “I’m sorry I didn’t know this would happen…” She continued.

“I want you to tell me the truth, what the bloody hell is this happening and why can’t one of the brightest witches out there stop this, why are my girls getting hurt?” Taeyeon said with eyes so sad and so deeply hurt that McGonagall could feel her heart breaking. A lone tear escaped Taeyeon’s eyes and that was it.

“Miss Kim, please go with your friends and check on Miss Seo, I’ll be there in a while to talk with you all.”

Taeyeon took a deep breath, trying to control all the emotions that were overwhelming her but nodded nonetheless.

She felt arms wrap around her waist and a head leaning on her shoulder, calming her down and at the same time making her heart speed up its pace.

 She pulled Tiffany away from the back hug and held her hand before speeding off back to the castle, hoping Seohyun would be perfectly fine. Although she was almost sure she wasn’t.
