- Chapter 10 - 

"The party.." 

"Are you going.??"

Stepping into the dark cold room.. 

Baekhyun walked to the chair and took the seat. Sitting in front of him is an old man whom he hasn't seen for almost 2 months.

"Baekhyun-ah.." he called.  

"It's been a long time. How are you doing?"

"Deh, fine. " Baekhyun replied with a weak smile.

"Good that you are doing fine. Taeyeon came last week. She looks fine too." 

Hearing that name, Baekhyun lowered his head with knitted brows.

"Mianhae. It's my fault. If it's not because of me.."

"Please don't say that, Master Kim." Baekhyun cuts his word.

"I wanted to do this myself. Blame nobody."

Taeyeon's father shook his head with griefs written on his face.

"As a father, I am willing to give up anything to allow my daughter to have the best education and future. Besides, that's all I can do for her now.."

"I pleaded. I kneeled. But my request was not answered. They insisted to expel Taeyeon. But thank god, we have you. If not because of you, the head of school committee will never agree to keep Taeyeon in Royce."

Baekhyun bit his lips, and looked aside.

"I know Taeyeon blamed on you. She didn't know that you pleaded your father to appeal for her stay. She also didn't know you pleaded the head of school committee to opt for her stay too. And in exchange, you have to leave Taeyeon as a promise to your father.."

Baekhyun closed his eyes, "Say no more, Master Kim. Whatever happened has happened. What's more important now is to prove your innocence."

The old man shook his head. "I know my chances. They have evidences, Baekhyun. Blame it on my carelessness to allow myself to be used by those people."

Baekhyun tighted his brows. "For the sake of Taeyeon, please don't give up. I know she still believes in you. Don't disappoint her belief. " 

Taeyeon's father sniffed in his tears.

"Thank you Baekhyun. I don't know what I can do to repay your kindness . Your sacrifice for me and Taeyeon... is too much. Really."
