Daring
Off StageTiffany’s POV
I stare at the heart in my hand; the fact that he gave it to me just like that makes me blush. I cover my cheeks already feeling the blood rush to them.
“Thank you.” I smile at him and he smiles back.
“Want to play a game?” He asks.
“Okay, what game?” I ask.
“A video game maybe?” He asks.
“Yeah sure, but where is a game console?” I look for one in his room.
“Kris has one in his.” He replies. He takes my hand and drags me to Kris’s room, “Kris-ge, can we use your PS3?” He asks.
“Yeah sure, I was just going out.” The older boy leaves the room.
“That was easy.” I say.
“Yeah it was, what game do you want to play?” He asks.
“Call of Duty?” I pull out the game.
“I didn’t think you were the shooting game person.” He puts the game in.
“I’m full of surprises.” I smile.
“I bet you are.” He mutters.
“Get ready to lose.” I brandish the controller.
“Not a chance.” He grins.
“Aw, that’s not fair! At least use your gun and not a grenade.” I whine.
“I don’t usually play fair, Shroom.” He says.
“I can see that.” I eye him in the helicopter shooting everyone.
“No rules, or do you want some.” He looks at me.
“I'm fine without.” I smirk as I destroy the helicopter.
“Well played, you’re going down.” He says.
“How many times are you going to use that thing?” I moan as he keeps shooting from afar with a rocket.
“A lot.” He says. “Too bad they don’t have a martial arts option.” He smiles.
“I prefer this.” I say.
“Okay, guess I’ll have to wait until they release a game like that.” He sighs. I quickly glance at his bandaged arm relieved that it’s finally been treated and now I know what’s been happening.
“Well that was fun!” I drop the controller, “I lost terribly though.” I pout.
“It wasn’t that bad…” He starts.
“Look at that score difference.” I point at the screen.
“Okay it was pretty bad.” He admits.
“You’re not really supposed to say that but who cares.” I laugh.
“What would you want me to say though?” He looks confused.
“Most would expect you to deny it no matter what.” I admit.
“Honestly, I’m not what most would expect.” He shrugs.
“That’s true.” I say.
“In what ways?” He asks. Well let’s get started, you can sing and rap, you can be adorable, you’re pretty good at dancing and you’re really handsome! He smiles, “You think I’m handsome?” He asks, oh no, I said that last bit aloud.
“U-um…” I stutter. He leans closer again.
“Thank you for the compliment.” I can feel his breath on my face.
“N-no problem.” I stutter. His eyes travel down to my lips and stay there for a while until he leans back after kissing my cheek softly. A bit daring are we? Well two can play at that game, I smirk softly.
“Something funny?” He asks.
“Not really, lets go back to your room.” I reach for his hand allowing mine to slide down his arm and he goes pink. Ha, I inwardly smile. I drag him up and to his room.
“I can walk on my own you know.” He grins.
“Are you sure about that?” I raise my eyebrows. He pokes my sides and grins when I squirm, “Please don’t start that again.” I beg.
“Will I get anything in return for that?” He asks.
“Yes, this.” I kiss his cheek.
“Good payment.” He smiles.
“Yeah, they’re hard to come by.” I say. I look at my watch, “I think I have to get going.” I sigh.
“Aw really?” He moans.
“Yeah.” I pat his head.
“Well goodnight.” He steps closer and leans down and kisses my forehead.
“Goodnight.” I wave.
