Kai's what?!

I Can Make You Smile

Luhan had started to get up to leave the classroom but Kai, having seen what Seung Gi mouthed to Luhan, firmly grabbed his arm before he could leave. “Sit down,” he said sternly.

“Don’t tell me-,” Luhan began.

“I said, sit down!” Kai interrupted sharply and tightened his grip on Luhan’s arm. Reluctantly, Luhan sunk back down into his seat. “You’re giving him exactly what he wants if you run,” Kai whispered sternly. Luhan, too stunned to know what to say, nodded slightly and Kai released his arm.

The teacher, arriving late, bowed deeply and apologized, stating her excuse for her tardiness before starting the class.

The school day ended on a more positive note for Luhan but then he remembered – Suho wanted to hang out. Not only with just him… but with Kai and Kris too. ‘Kris must be the tall, quiet one,’ Luhan thought and then he saw Suho come running out of the building.

“You ready to go?” Suho asked, his eyes forming into those perfect half-moons again and Luhan nodded ‘yes’ as his response. “Come on, Kris is waiting for us in the car,” Suho said and took Luhan’s hand, dragging him over to his car, “nice car, huh?” The car was a black and silver 2012 Dodge Charger.

Luhan couldn’t help but be amazed by the car and then he wondered, ‘how could he afford a car like that?!’  Then again, Suho did seem like the rich type.

“Kai said that he was going to meet up with us at the restaurant a little later on so… lets go!” Suho shouted and ended up making a silly song by singing “lets go” over and over again as he hopped into the driver’s seat.

Luhan couldn’t help but smile slightly at Suho’s childishness and climbed into the backseat and shut the car door. “Which restaurant are we going to anyway?” Luhan asked, stealing a few glances at the tall guy sitting in the passenger’s seat.

“You’ll see when we get there,” Suho said with a playful twinkle in his eyes and began to drive a little faster.

They arrived at the restaurant about ten minutes later and Luhan looked out of the car window to see that it was a traditional ramen shop – one of the best in town.

“I don’t have much money on me…” Luhan mumbled, pouting slightly.

Suho chuckled thinking that Luhan looked incredibly adorable while pouting. “I didn’t expect you to pay… it’s my treat,” Suho said smiling brightly and parked the car.

They all climbed out of the car and walked into the restaurant. A few female servers bowed to them and occasionally blushed when any of the guys would make eye contact with them. Suho, of course, began to flirt and wink at the women, making their entire face go red. Kris didn’t say anything but just stared icily at everyone and everything, but he didn’t intend to look cold, he just always did.

A young woman approached them and asked them about what kind of table they needed and Suho responded, “A table for four, please.”

The woman nodded and motioned for them to enter the dining room. “Right this way.”

She ushered the awkward group of friends to a nice table situated close to a giant aquarium. “Here we are,” said the woman, “and here are your menus.” She handed each of them a menu when they sat down. “Anything else?”

Suho shook his head and sort of waved her away. The woman, looking slightly offended, bowed and left the boys with their menus.

“I think I’m going to have… hmm… this!” Suho said excitedly and pointed to a kimchi dish. Kris nodded and went back to looking at his menu. Luhan hungrily looked at all of the ramen options they offered and finally, after much contemplation, decided on the dish he wanted to eat most.

The same woman returned and asked them for their orders. “I’m going to be having this,” Suho said, pointing at the dish on the menu and the women wrote it down on a notepad. “And I’ll have this,” Kris said simply. It was the first time Luhan had heard Kris say anything and it amazed him. Kris had nice, deep voice and seeing how he was also Chinese, it made Luhan want to have a conversation with him.

“Luhan… Luhan!” Suho called, “order your food.”

“Oh, right,” he said, snapping back to reality, “I’ll have this.” He also pointed to what he wanted and the women scribbled down his order and quickly left, probably trying to avoid getting shooed away by Suho again.

Unexpectedly, Suho’s phone rang and he mouthed “mianhae” to both Kris and Luhan before answering it. “W-wait… he’s… what? What happened?! … I-is he okay?! … Well where is he now? … Oh… oh okay, thanks!”

Suho suddenly jumped to his feet, his face was now extremely pale and worry plagued his once carefree face.

“It’s Kai hyung…”

Another two update day! Sorry if the story seems to be moving slow TT^TT The next chapters, however, are going to get really good >:D *evil laugh*

PS: (thanks to creativegirl 013 for bringing this to my attention!)

In this story, I decided to make Kai the OLDEST character, okay? ^w^ I made it like this so he'd be the leader of the group.
