Sung Jong POV

My name is Lee Sungjong and I am 14 turning 15 in September, a little fact about me: I love lemon candies, like LOVE them. There isn't really anything that special about me, I had a good childhood and I do well in school but it was pretty boring to be honest. There wasn't much that kept with my hyperactivity, if I can say that.

All was well during school until this guy showed up, Kim Myungsoo. I swear the second he and I made contact, my life became a little bit interesting in a kind of bad way but at the same time in a good way... 

This! This beautiful human just had to enter my life and then the teasing would start. "Ooh it's the princess, make way veybody or he'll banish you!" Ugh that is one of the many I had to suffer. But between us, I secretly liked it. I gained his attention and he seems to enjoy mine as well, when we're not trying to kill each other that is.

Anyways, at this age everyone wants to love and be loved. I have been a bit insecure about my preferences, I like girls and guys but I tend to wonder to the guys side. There is this one guy that did made me feel confident, I guess. Coincidentally, I met Myungsoo during that time as well.

Flashback

“Omo! Hyung, look he’s staring at me, AHH!" Sungjong squealed as he and his crush, Woohyun, exchanged glances across the room.

Sungyeol, who was sitting beside Sungjong glared at his brother for almost causing him to lose his hearing from all the squealing,the elder male just rolled his eyes and went back to his book.

“I know you love him but please keep it into a minimum, I am trying to study here.”

“Gasp! THE Lee Sungyeol is studying?” Sungjong put his hands on his chest and feigned a surprise look.

“Haha, laugh all you want but this history test is important and I don’t want to fail and go to summer school. By the way, did you see that new kid over there; he looked kinda like L from death note, I mean look at the aura that kid is emitting, it really creeps me out a lot,” Said the choding who started to take food from the maknae while he was being distracted as he looked over at the new kid.

Sungjong couldn’t help but feel that he have met the boy before,

“Hey hyung? He looks really familiar, where have I seen him before?” SungJong asked as he hit Sungyeol’s hand with a pair of chopsticks which earned him a smack on the head and a ‘respect your elders’ response from Sungyeol.

“That really hurt you know? And I don’t know what you’re talking about, that L guy just moved.” Exclaimed Sungyeol with his hands in the air and then pouting like a child who didn’t get what he wanted, although SungJong got a good laugh out of it. He suddenly stopped when he noticed that Woohyun was coming over to his table and tried to find way to make himself looked distracted.

“Hi, my name is Woohyun and I just came over to ask you out on a date, is it ok?” Woohyun stated as SungJong furiously blushed while Sungyeol rolled his eyes.

SungJong couldn’t believe his long time crush just asked him out, he was internally spazzing and fanboying over Woohyun and his smile.

“I know who you are, music club and student council president. Yes I would love to go out on a date with you.” Sungjong said as if he didn’t care but really he was just screaming inside his head.

“Great! I’ll pick you up Saturday at 1pm.” Woohyun said as he wrote his phone number on a napkin and gave it to Sungjong and left. After Woohyun left, Sungyeol dragged Sungjong outside to snap Sungjong out of shock.
 

“Alright we’re outside, you can scream now.” Sungyeol said gesturing for Sungjong to start screaming.
 

“AHH! OMIGASH HE ASKED ME OUT, AH I AM COMPLETE AND READY TO DIE NOW—WAIT NO IM NOT I HAVE A DATE THIS SATURDAY WITH THE WOOHYUN!!!^^” Sungjong screamed so loud that a few students who were outside turned to look at him. Sungyeol was just trying to calm him down,

“Look I know you’re excited but be careful of him, there is something about him that seems off.” Sungyeol warned but Sungjong still didn’t listen.

Saturday came and Sungjong was panicking like a girl going on her very first date, which for Sungjong is actually true but he’s a boy.

It took him at least 2 hours to find the perfect outfit and tooke a couple of selfies to commemorate his very first date with his dream guy. When it hit 12:50, Sungjong started pacing in front of the TV blocking Sungyeol’s view of his video game.

“Will you stop worrying, it’s just a date it’s not like he is asking you to get married, which won’t happen as long as I live.” Sungyeol finally said as Sungjong’s pacing caused him to lose his game.

“It’s my very first date hyung, this date will be the start of our relationship, and if he did ask me to marry him you aren’t invited!”

Sungjong stuck out his tongue and ran around the house as Sungyeol tried to catch him.

Suddenly the doorbell rang and the two froze, Sungyeol looked over at the panicking Sungjong and whispered, “He’s here, get the stupid door and I’ll be upstairs trying to find your favourite teddy bear so i can destroy it.” With that he ran upstairs while Sungjong cursed at him for being a bad hyung.

Sungjong ran to the door and opened it to reveal a very, emphasis on very handsome face.

 “Hey Sungjong ready for our date?” Woohyun asked as he took Sungjong’s hand and kissed it. AHH! Sungjong squealed internally, I can’t believe he kissed MY hand, he thought. They headed out as Sungyeol watched through the window, a little part died when he saw their linked hands.

Their date was simple. They went to a restaurant and a late lunch, then went to the mall and looked around. After their mall trip, their last destination was the park near Sungjong’s house and the sun was about to go down.

“I had so much fun today, thank you so much!” squealed Sungjong as Woohyun pushed him on the swing,

"Me too! You're fun to hang out with, we should go on another date." Woohyun replied but there was a feeling in him that he'll regret telling Sungjong the real reason he asked him out on a date. 

As he was about to tell Sungong the truth about this date, his phone went off and excused himself that he needed to answer it, Sungjong nodded his head and continued to push himself while Woohyun answers the call.

Sungjong got tired after waiting and texted Woohyun that he would be near the little café around the corner, how he got the Woohyun's number was during their mall trip.

As Sungjong walked to the café, he passed by his old kindergarten and saw a figure crouching and heard him groan. Curiously, he walked towards the figure and saw a boy about his age, black hair and a black eye to match.

Sungjong first instinct was to call for help but the groan prevented him from calling the ambulance. When the boy opened his one eye that isn’t bruised, Sungjong couldn’t help but be mesmerized and also thought that those eyes looked so familiar but he shook that thought away when he saw the boy grin or smirked at him because honestly who can know when his face is messed up from all the beating.

“Oh my gosh, what happened? You need help, I’ll call the ambulance.” Sungjong said in one breath and started to redial the number but was stopped yet again by the boy’s chuckling.
 

“I’m fine, just got into a fight. My name is Kim Myungsoo, I go to your school and this happens a lot so don’t worry.” Myungsoo said with a smile as he finally found what he was looking for.

“I heard that Woohyun asked you out on a date?” Myungsoo started, wincing when Sungjong applied alcohol to his bruised cut on the cheek.

“Yea, I guess news travels fast when it revolves around the President of the student council huh?” Sungjong replied as he placed a bandage on Myungsoo’s cheek.

“Yea," Myungsoo studied the boy, noting his now honey blond hair, beautiful cat-like eyes, and kissable lips that made Myungsoo remember why he fell in love in the first place, " You’re really cute and pretty like a girl, I wouldn’t mind kissing your lips.”

“YAH! You know for such a handsome face, you have a jerk-like attitude.”

“Wow! You’re really feisty… and you said I'm handsome, that makes me want you more.” Myungsoo said as he avoided a roll of bandage flung his way.

They were currently inside the café around the corner where Sungjong’s friend Chunji works at. After cleaning the cut, Sungjong placed a clear band-aid under the bruised eye to protect the clean cut. He directed Myungsoo to re-apply a fresh new compression bandage after he takes a shower and to get it checked if it still hurts, he gave the roll of bandage to Myungsoo as he gathered the first aid kit and handed it back to Chunji.

"Wow thanks Pincess, didn't know you were so praticed in healthcare." Myungsoo said in a teasing voice as he placed the bandage at the back of his pocket.

"You know, you're one word away before I wrap that mouth of yours instead of your torso." And it was a sculpted torso for that, Sungjong left that out feeling himself blush again after having to wrap the guy's torso the first time.  

“By the way, be careful around that guy. He has hidden intentions.” Myungsoo said as he left the café as soon as Woohyun came in.

“Why does everyone keep talking bad about him?” Sungjong muttered.

“Hey, sorry about the call taking too long, my… uh parents want me to go home. Sorry about that, I’ll see on Monday.” Woohyun said guitily. To be honest he really did enjoy Sungjong's company and he felt guilty for asking the boy out and giving him hope. 

"It's ok, it's getting late anyways so..." Sungjong said feeling awkward for no reason. Woohyun looked at Sungjong and sighed as the guilty feeling wouldn't subside.

"Sungjong, I'm really sorry in advance." With that Woohyun left a confused Sungjong alone in the cafe.

Monday came and Sungjong couldn’t help feel that something bad is going to happen. He walked down the halls with Sungyeol and Chunji by his side, as they rounded the corner the trio heard a voices.

"Come on man! I won the bet, now pay up." They heard Woohyun say. What bet? Sungjong thought.

"No, the bet was to kiss the little ." They heard another say.

"Don't call him that, plus wouldn't going out with him be enough?" Again, Woohyun spoke but a little more softly.

"Nah, if it involves Lee Sungjong there has to be some dirt. Let's go." The footsteps gradually became softer as the boys left, Sungjong's eyes widened at the mention of his name. Tears coursed down his face, he felt used.

Sungyeol stood still as he watched Chunji comfort a broken Sungjong, fists forming in anger. He watched as the one he loves slowly started to break away but built up again by his friends, Sungyeol watched as his brother constructed another wall in his heart and sat in the front row when his brother acted like he was fine.

Sungjong was devastated but told himself that it was in the past now, nothing could ever hurt him again. Ever since the incident, Woohyun has moved to another school and everyone went back to normal. Well as normal as it can be.
