You found yourself standing in the middle of nothingness. “Where am I?” You mumbled, looking at the vastness of black surrounding you. “Hello?!” You shouted. Your voice echoed repeatedly until it also faded into the darkness. You raised your hands to your face. It was strange. Even though everything was pitch black, you could see yourself so clearly. “Hello!?” You called again, your voice echoing all around you until it faded into complete darkness. Your heavy breathing was the only sound you could hear. You had no idea where you were, and it seemed that you were alone in this darkness. You started walking, keeping your hands in front of you in case you bump into something, anything. You have walked for a while but there was nothing. As though everything around you was just empty space. Your heart was beating fast. You were starting to panic. You started running. And running. And running. But the darkness was endless. “No! No!” You stumbled onto the floor. “No,” you mumbled to yourself. No matter how far you ran, it felt like you haven’t gone anywhere. As though you had just been running in place. “Hurry!” A faint voice, sounding like a hiss, pierced through the deafening silence. You raised your head. You looked around the darkness surrounding you, searching for the source of the voice. You quickly stood up. “Hello?!” You called out. But there was nothing except for the echo of your own voice. “Who’s there?!” “Who’s there…Who’s there… Who’s there… Who’s there…,” your voice faded. “Hurry!” The voice came again. You looked around desperately, until you found something red in the distance. It was floating in midair, so small like a dot. You slowly walked towards it. “Hurry!” the voice echoed again. You were sure it was coming from the red dot. “Hurry!” The voice repeated. It was getting louder the closer you get to the dot. “Hurry!” It said one last time until you reached the dot. You looked at it carefully. It was the size of a coin. It was just there, floating in midair in perfect level with your eyes. “Hurry…hurry…hurry…hurry…,” the voice came again in faint whispers. Something moved inside the dot. You walked closer, squinting your eyes at it. Something moved again. And you realized that it was a hole. You breathed heavily. You carefully placed one of your eyes onto the hole. The moment you did, the black faded, as though it was crawling away from the dot, until no trace of it remained. You found yourself standing in the middle of the wilderness. The full moon was floating in the sky, most of it hidden by black clouds. It was a strange moon. At its center was something red, much like the red dot you saw earlier. You realized that the red was spreading, as though it was staining the moon with blood. As the red spread, the sky also started to turn a faint shade red, as though something was slowly bathing the earth in blood. “Hurry!” It was that voice again. But loud and clear this time. You turned to look at someone standing just a few feet in front of you. It was a man. He looked disheveled and his white shirt was stained with blood. You could see him, but for some reason you couldn’t make out his face. His face was an unrecognizable blur. And you realized that almost everything around you was. The whole thing felt like something from a dream, as though you were inside an old, faded photograph. “We can’t let them catch him!” The man said. Your body moved on your own. You treaded the reddish black path of the wilderness, the man a while ago following closely behind. You realized you were following someone. There was another man in front of you. He was carrying a younger man on his shoulder. The younger man looked like he was in pain. What happened to him? You wanted to ask. But your mouth wouldn’t move. Your voice wouldn’t come out. Your body continued to move on its own as you and the other men continued to tread through the forest. “AARRRGGGGG!” The younger man cried in pain. He fell on the ground, writhing, his hand clenched on his chest. You and the others ran towards him. You also couldn’t make out his face. What’s happening to him?! You wanted to scream. The young man was and thrashing uncontrollably on the ground. He was in so much pain. You looked at the sky. The clouds were starting to recede, slowly revealing the bloodstained moon. “We have no time,” you spoke in a voice that didn’t belong to you. The other men also turned to look at the sky. “AAARRRRRRRGGGG!” The young man screamed. “Hold him down!” You told the other two men. The men grabbed each of the young man’s arms and pinned him to the ground, pushing his shoulders down. “AAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGG!” The young man screamed, which had now sounded more like an animal’s cry. He struggled, growling and screaming. You clenched at his shirt and ripped it apart. There was a big, ugly scar on his left chest. The scar was moving, as though something was trapped inside and it wanted to get out. Your left hand held your right wrist, and you placed your right palm just on top of the scar. “Are you crazy?! You can’t do this!” The man with the white shirt told you, slapping your hand away from the young man’s chest. “I have no other choice,” you answered. “But hyung, it’s too dangerous,” the other man also said. “I know,” you replied. You took a deep breath, then a faint, white light started to grow just beneath your palms. You felt your energy travel from your body to the tips of your hands. “AAAAAAAARRRGGGGGGHH!” The young man screamed some more. Fur was starting to grow on his body. Blood red fur. “Don’t let them escape!” A voice sounded in the distance, followed by the sound of shouting “I will hold them off,” the man in the white shirt said. The other man held both of the young man’s arms to the ground. The man in the white shirt let go and squeezed your shoulder, before he went back to the direction of the voices. “AAAAAAARRRRRRRGGG!” The young man cried as the light from your hand shone brighter. His muscles were bulging and veins were starting to show through his skin. The man holding him down gave a loud cry, as he struggled to hold the young man down. His arm muscled up and orange-ish fur grew on
