Coffe Prince Café

“Kibum~ah, if you don’t mind us asking, who is she?” Yunho asked

“Come on hyung, is she your girlfriend?” Taemin teased

“BWOH?! GIRLFRIEND?!” Key and the girl said at the same time. As if on cue, they burst out in laughter, both almost brought to tears by the claim the younger man said.

Suddenly, a blonde guy as tall as Jonghyun approaches Key and the girl. He proceeds to kiss the girl on the cheek and does some sort of a secret handshake with Key. At this point in time, everyone but Key and the girl were confused as to what was happening.

“What’s so funny?” he asked smiling “You guys are starting to look like idiots again cause you’re the only ones laughing you know?” When the two just continued laughing he began again “You know hyung, every time we see you, you make my girlfriend laugh like there’s no tomorrow. You really are related.” He smirked “You both look like idiots when you laugh.” He chuckled

“Related?” Sungmin asked with confusion written all over his face

“Neh.” The girl replied “Let me introduce myself properly. Annyeonghaseyo, Lee Ji-Eun imnida! I’m Kibum’s only cousin.” She beamed

A chorus of “OHH”s and whatnot was heard throughout the room.

“Who is he though?” asked Sunny as she pointed to the blonde haired guy

“Oh, I forgot “ he laughed as he stepped forward and bowed “Annyeonghaseyo, Yang Yoseob imnida! I’m JiEun’s boyfriend and Key hyung’s former schoolmate.”

“The three of us used to go to the same high school until last year. That’s why we’re all really close. Aside from JiEun being my cousin, she’s also my classmate. I met Yoseob way before I became close to JiEun. I introduced them to each other during middle school and they’ve had this thing ever since.” Key said ever so proud of himself for setting the two up. Yoseob and JiEun, though they were already a couple, only blushed and looked away from each other.

Suddenly, the only female employee came up to them.

“Excuse me, if you’re all just going to disturb the people in the café and if you’re not going to order anything please leave.” She said. Though she said please, it still sounded offensive and rude to the others. “Except you of course Kibum oppa, you work here anyway.” She said as she batted her eyelashes at Key

“Mianhe Nicole. We didn’t mean to cause trouble. We’ll keep quiet and order in a while.” Key said as he smiled at Nicole

When she left, Key turned around and saw annoyance written all over everyone’s faces.

“Pfft. She still hasn’t changed, even after she transferred schools.” JiEun huffed “She’s still the same y queenka who still has a crush on Key.” JiEun said quite bitterly as Yoseob nudged her and just put his arm around her to calm her down a bit.

Sooyoung, upon hearing the words “still has a crush on Key”, was pulled back into reality. Her train of thought was broken once she heard those words. She then asked him in a rush, “Do you like her though?”

Key was a bit taken aback by Sooyoung’s question but answered nonetheless

“Ani, I don’t think I ever did reciprocate her feelings. I mean, sure, she is  sort of pretty and cute but, she can be really mean at times and I don’t really appreciate mean girls.” He honestly replied “Don’t tell her that though, she might tell her dad to fire me if she finds out I don’t like her.” Key whispered as he winked at Sooyoung.

If Sooyoung wasn’t already sitting on the couch, she may have just fallen to the floor and melted into a puddle of goo as Key winked at her. Everyone else laughed at Key’s remark and decided to order drinks and food as one of the shikshins’ stomach grumbled quite loudly. Surprisingly, Yoseon and JiEun got along so well with everyone that Sooyoung and Minho invited them to the island on the weekend.

“Aigoo~ah, I miss going to your island!” Tiffany squealed “I can finally get a good tan this weekend!” she said as she gave her heart melting eye smile to everyone

“Fany Fany Tiffany~yah! I thought I was the only one you’d smile at like that.” Yunho pouted

“Hyung, Tiffany’s eye smile is natural! She smiles at everyone like that!” Sungmin laughed “It’s just like my aegyo, I just can’t help it sometimes! Especially when there’s a really cute girl around.” Sungmin’s statement earned him a painful punch to the arm from Sunny

“Yah, I better not see you showing your aegyo to other girls anywhere.” Sunny glared at Sungmin as she pouted.

“Aigoo~ah, I said A REALLY CUTE GIRL, which means only ONE cute girl. Sunny, I’m referring to youuu! You’re the only one who makes me do aegyo unconsciously.” Sungmin said as he pinched her cheeks

“AWWW. Aegyo King and Queen!” Everyone chorused

By 7pm, they were all heading home with their stomachs filled to the brim. They all had a good time bonding with each other at the café. Nicole glared at them every so often when they’d get noisy or when the boys got a bit too rowdy at the café. They eventually just ignored her and decided to call it a night as they also had homework to do for the next day.

The next 3 days of school passed by like the wind on a cold September’s day. Everyone had finished adjusting to their high school life. The seniors were busy planning the acquaintance party which was to be held in 3 weeks time but they have yet to announce the party’s theme. The Power of Nine and SHINee were to perform special numbers this year and Key still had no idea what exactly SHINee was. Yunho, Eunhyuk, Sungmin and Yonghwa also had a special number as a quartet. The next few weeks were going to be really busy but this weekend, they were going to the Choi’s island.

A/N:

Contrary to what everyone thought, Nicole was not the girl who hugged Key and kissed his cheek. They aren't really close because like I mentioned in one of the previous chapters, Key only started working at the café a week earlier. Nicole used to be the queenka in Key’s old school. How Nicole noticed the “mute wake boarder” will be revealed some other time ;) Next chapter will be about their day at the Choi’s island :D
