Key and Sooyoung stood a bit awkwardly after Taemin and Yoona left.  Sooyoung’s crutches seemed to become of interest as she was staring at them a bit too much and Key ultimately found a spot on the ground to stare at.

“So,” Key said as he cleared his throat “Where’s your stuff?”

“Eh? Oh, I left everything in my locker.  They didn’t give us any homework anyway.”

“Ohh, uhh, come on, why don’t we go before it gets dark.” Key said as he took off his backpack and placed it in front of him.

“Kibum~ah, why are you wearing your backpack like that? That’s why it’s called a backpack you pabo,” she laughed “ It’s because you have to put it on your back”

“Yah,you’re the pabo,” he “I’m wearing it like this so I can carry you home!” he laughed as he crouched in front of her waiting for her to get on his back

“Aish, I’ll be fine walking. Besides, I’m wearing a skirt you know!” she said as she refused. ‘What if other people see us? They might think we’re dating or something! I mean, it’s okay with me if they think I’m your girlfriend but- Aish. What am I saying?!’ she thought as she blushed at the thought. Good thing Key wasn’t facing her or else he’d be suspicious as to why she was blushing.

“I don't really care what they think, you know. I care about you and your ankle, and how it's my fault. This is the best I can do for you right now aside from an apology. Sooyoung~ah, I won’t take no for an answer considering the circumstances. Come on, you’re skirt isn’t short anyway.” He said seriously

“Aigoo Kibum. You look so serious you know?” she sighed “ I guess I don’t have a choice now do I?” she laughed as she carefully got on Key’s back. Key put the crutches in between him and the bag’s straps so they wouldn’t fall.

They walked in silence for a few minutes, looking at the trees and flowers blooming once again after losing the leaves and everything else.

“Sooyoung, what time is it?” Key asked

“It’s 5:30. Why?” Sooyoung asked

“Well, I work part-time at a café and I have to work tonight so I can go grocery shopping tomorrow” he informed her

“Ohh, you’re really a hard-working person you know? I’m not entirely sure why, but I feel like I’ve known you for a long time.” She rambled

“Maybe it’s because you’re the first person I’ve actually opened up to. It’s just the first day and I just met you but, there’s just something in you that makes me trust you wholeheartedly.” He said as he smiled

“Kibum~ah, you’re seriously sweet.” She smiled “Where do you work though?”

“The café’s pretty near here. It’s called Coffee Prince. Technically, only guys work there but since the owner’s daughter wanted to be a barista, she also works there. I only started last week though.” He said as he shared a bit of information about the café

“Oh! That’s my favorite café! The last time I went there was last month.” She pouted “I’ll come visit when you’re working okay? You better make good coffee!” she said as she

“Arasso.” He chuckled “So, where’s your house again?”

“Oh yeah, keke, we’re about three houses away.” She sheepishly laughed

“Arasso. “ he replied “I wish your house was a bit further though” he mumbled

“Why?” she asked as she rested her chin on his shoulder

‘Crud, she heard me. Eotteokhae?!’ he frantically thought as he struggled to form a reply. ‘Aish, might as well tell her since she heard it. “Well, I kind of wanted to spend more time with you.” He shyly said “I just had so much fun with you today and I feel like it isn’t enough.” He sheepishly replied

“Oh, I-I, there’s always tomorrow you know?” she nervously replied “How about you walk me home again tomorrow and we can stop by the café for a while to talk?” she offered

Key’s eyes lit up as he replied a very optimistic yes. They arrived at their house and slowly let her down from his back as he tried as much as he could to support her.

“I’m not paralyzed Kibum.” She said as she laughed at him as he treated her as if she was so fragile. She hated it when others would treat her that way, but when Key did it, she didn’t mind at all.

“I know, it’s just that I don’t want you to get hurt again.” He smiled

“Thanks for bringing me home.” Sooyoung said as she hugged Key a bit uncomfortably because of the bag in front of him. Key was unable to react at first but was able to hug her back before she pulled away.

“No problem Sooyoung. I’ll see you tomorrow! Don’t forget about our agreement okay?” he said as he winked at her. Sooyoung could’ve sworn her knees turned into jelly the moment he winked. Good thing she had the crutches to support her. She could only nod her head in reply as Key bowed and left for his job at the café.
