TAEYEON’S POV

“I’m okay. Seriously.”

Jonghyun just gave me his ‘are-you-kidding-me’ face before he continued his epic cooking experience in making chicken soup. To tell you the truth, I’m a bit touched when he’s acting all caring and responsible like this. I don’t know why but I’m starting to see him in a different light today.

Arghhh! Who am I to kid? My brain must be dysfunctional because of fever. Being sick just make my mental judgment impaired to the point of I myself don’t think this is real. Okay. I’m rambling. Need to stop thinking about Lee Jonghyun!

“Since when a fever with 39°C is considered as okay?” Jonghyun shouted from the kitchen. Aish! This guy is being a very strict ajusshi. He might as well appoint himself as my personal doctor if this continues.

I hissed due to irritation level reaching to the max. Jonghyun is killing me with his strictness. Can’t you imagine he won’t let me sleep in my room tonight?! He asked a sick patient like me to lie on the sofa. According to ‘Doctor’ Lee Jonghyun, it would be easier for him to take care of me. Yah! I don’t even ask him to do that. He’s treating me like I’m a kid that can’t take care of my own self. In my mind I was booing strict ajusshi Lee Jonghyun like crazy!

And after a while of booing him and protesting his actions inside my mind, Jonghyun’s figure appeared in the living room. He was bringing a tray with a bowl of chicken soup and a glass of water. And yeah, I can’t help but to roar hysterically despite being sick when I saw him.

Jonghyun jerked his eyebrows, his face was written with confusion plus blur.

“Excuse me? What’s with the laugh?” He put the tray on the table next to the sofa.

I can’t stop laughing but when I saw him literally shooting daggers from his eyes, I tried hard to suppress my laugh.

“You look cute in an apron.”

Jonghyun crooked a smile on his face. He untied the apron and took it off before putting it aside.

“Well at the very least it’s not pink missy.” Jonghyun took the bowl and a spoon.

I raised my eyebrows when Jonghyun put the spoon filled with the chicken soup near my mouth. Okay, this is just plain awkward. But, I wonder why I feel my cheeks are scorching hot right now? Hurm… must be because of the fever. It can’t be because of Jonghyun right?

“I can eat by myself. I’m not a handicapped.”

“Fine.” Jonghyun gave me the spoon and the bowl. Honestly, I don’t even have the energy to lift up the spoon but heck; my sky high ego just won’t let Jonghyun feed me.

Slowly, I fed myself but once the food reached my taste buds, I forced myself to swallow it because it tasted so damn bitter!

The bitterness got the better of me. With my hand totally shaken like crazy, I tried to reach out for the glass of water. Jonghyun who saw my shaken hand decided to take the glass and helped me to drink the water.

“Here. Let me help you.”

I didn’t refuse the water this time because I really in dire need of it. When he helped me to take a sip of the water, my orbs spontaneously fixed to him. His face caught my attention. Why? Because his face was plastered with concern and worrisome.
