JONGHYUN’S POV

“A date.” Again the words spouted from my mouth.

Taeyeon was wearing a calm relaxing expression. Her face was added up with a smirk. She pulled the straw closer to her lips and sipped the orange juice.

“Okay.” She flashed me a smile making me cocked my eyebrows.

Did she just say okay?

“Are you in your right mind now, Lee Taeyeon? Do you even realize that you just said the word okay?” Is she pulling my leg here? “You’re agreeing without any retaliation? Wow, I’m amazed.” Usually she would add up with some terms and conditions. A plain okay from her is just UNBELIEVABLE!

She let out one heavy sigh. Her right hand was placed under her chin. Her gaze was set, locked on towards my dumbfounded face. “You said that you want a date, right? And I’m saying yes to it.”

Again, she left me speechless, totally gob smacked with her sudden change of attitude. “Are you sure?”

“I’m freaking sure, Jongie.” With a playful smirk drew on her face, she said those words calmly. “Just tell me which shop sells the date that you’ve want. I’ll buy it for you.”

Shop? Buy? Date? Gosh! I felt like my jaws dropped, eyes wide opened and my head was shaking from left to right countless of times. Since when any shop in this world sells date? “Taeng….” Definitely she’s playing dumb with me. What do I expect? I shouldn’t put my hope up. Lee Taeyeon wouldn’t even agree for a sec to go on a date with me. Keep on dreaming, Lee Jonghyun.

The corner of her lips curved slightly, forming one cheeky grin. “Booo!” She smudged some of the chocolate cake topping on face. “Never thought that you could be so fun to toy around.”

“Since when you know how to play a prank on me?”

Her ajumma laughter erupted, echoing throughout the patio. “This is how I roll.”

My eyes rolled upon seeing she laughed her heart out. With a serious expression, I looked straight into her eyes. “I’m serious, Taeyeon.” Slowly I mumbled.

“Me too.” She nodded but I could still sense her pranking mode is still switched on. “Tell me the name of the shop. I’ll buy the date and make sure it’s delivered straight to your office tomorrow.”

Lord, help me! What did I ever do to even deserve a wife who doesn’t know what on earth a date is all about?

TAEYEON’S POV

Tiffany Hwang can’t help but to shake her head in disappointment.

“Seriously, Taeng, I raised my white flag. I surrendered.”
