TAEYEON’S POV

My orbs fixated at the chocolate cake baked by Jonghyun absent-mindedly. The conversation that I had with my omma kept playing like a loop inside my mind. That one conversation had opened my eyes, leading me to swallow, stomach and digest the fact that I am Lee Jonghyun’s wife. I am Mrs. Lee Jonghyun. By hook or by crook, that is the fact. That is the reality. Right?

Flashback

EXO – Why So Serious stopped half-way after I picked up the call. The voice of my omma greeted me feasted my hearing.

“Hi, omma. What’s the matter?” I walked a bit farther from the kitchen, avoiding the sound of Jonghyun’s ‘war zone' in his battle against the chocolate cake topping.

“I’m calling to wish you and Jonghyun, my dear...” Eyebrows jerked.

Wish? What is there to wish? It’s not my birthday or anything. And as far as I know, Jonghyun’s birthday passed a few days before we got married. If you asked me how I knew about it, let’s just say that my omma basically forced me, fussed me day and night to wish him ‘Happy Birthday’.

“What kind of wish omma?”  Did we hit the jackpot and earned us a massive luxurious villa in Mauritius or perhaps Hawaii? Crap! Don’t imagine the unthinkable please!

“Omona, Taeng… Don’t you remember? It’s your 6 months wedding anniversary with Jonghyun.”

Eyes widened, jaws dropped as the words anniversary echoed. Anniversary? Say what??? No wonder he’s baking the cake. A cake for our wedding anniversary. Oh my Gucci! What the hell am I going to do now? I never even remember the exact date of our wedding and he’s making an effort to celebrate it with me.

Gosh! Fany was right. I am cruel, cruel for torturing Lee Jonghyun silently without I myself noticed about it.

“Don’t tell me you really forget, Lee Taeyeon!” Omma’s high-pitched voice flipped me back into reality.

I gulped, my mouth tried to give a reply but the words came out raspy, barely audible. “What? Ani… I remember omma.” ! How come that sounds so screwed up? Say it with more confidence, will you?!

“Seriously! I remember omma. But how did you know?”

“Jonghyun called me last night. He asked me what kind of cake you like. So, that’s how I come to know about your anniversary.”

“Ah… right…” My eyes threw their gaze towards the pink apron Jonghyun. Guilt began to double nope triple, ani…. mountain deep inside my heart.

“Is Jonghyun with you?”

“Deh, omma. He’s in the kitchen. I’ll go and give him the phone.”

JONGHYUN’S POV

One slice of the chocolate cake was put on the plate. I poured one glass of juice and put 2 straws in it. Well, a wedding anniversary should be romantic right? Keep on dreaming, Lee Jonghyun. She doesn’t even know that you prepared all these for that kind of event.

Black velvet with pinholes were revealing the light from heaven, illuminating the moonless sky. Her figure sitting at the canopy with one hand supporting her chin mesmerized me. Despite wearing pajamas and her brown locks tied up in ponytail, she still looks radiant and glowing. I guessed the moon was chased away by her beauty as at right at this moment, in my eyes, she is the MOON.

I took a sit in front of her, hand diligently placing the cake and juice on the table.

“Hey, take a bite. I hope it doesn’t taste dis
