CHAPTER FOUR: I DON'T UNDERSTAND
IT ALL STARTED WITH A BIG BANG
And then I woke up. I tried to lift my head but I couldn’t, it was too painful. At first I was confused. Where was I? This wasn’t his room and he wasn’t there and it wasn’t my room either but it seemed familiar. I tried moving my ankle and I could, it was painless but every time I tried to move my head, I felt a stinging pain rushing through my temple. And then I realised that I wasn’t even wearing my own clothes but a pair of red men’s pyjamas. I was so confused. Why wasn’t TOP here? It only felt like a few minutes ago that he was holding my hand. Then it occurred to me, it was all a dream. Where the hell was I now then? Had I been here before? I looked around and spotted a piece of paper on the table next to me, I reached out for it and read it:
(Sorry that I’m not here to tell you, but I’ll be back soon. Whilst you were dancing you fell and hit your head on the floor and knocked yourself out. I took you to the hospital but they said that all you needed was rest. So I brought you back home with me because I had no idea where you lived. Don’t lift your head too much because it will be painful!)
There was no name and it was neatly written. I knew I was definitely not in TOP’s room because I could recognise his handwriting anywhere. But who was it? Perhaps another member of Big Bang or one of the YG staff? I sighed. This wasn’t exactly the best start to my singing career.
He walked up to me and smiled with his adorable smile. “We meet again. How are you feeling?” I was partly in a state of shock but also overjoyed that it was someone I knew. “Oh hello.. I’m feeling, well my head’s a bit.. I mean,” I could barely speak. “I think that you might be concussed. How many fingers am I holding up?” I could see that he lifted his hand up but it was all a bit of a blur. “Ummm four?” He looked at me and then looked at his hand with a confused expression and counted his fingers. “Ok, you are definitely concussed,” he said, “I was only holding up two fingers.” I knew what this meant. I was going to have to go to hospital. “I’m going to have to take you to hospital, ok? Its all going to be fine though, I’m sure there’s nothing wrong with your head at all. I’m just going to call them now.” He reached into his pocket and brought out his mobile, which was read but I couldn’t quite make out what make it was. He was really calm over the phone and didn’t panic at all. When he was done he smiled, “They said they’ll be here soon, so don’t worry. I’m sure you’ll be fine really.” He said that but I was really worried. I felt the tears welling up in my eyes and I couldn’t stop myself from crying. “Don’t worry, I’ll be here every step of the way. Nothing bad is going to happen.” I looked at him and his expression had turned more serious.
“Thank you, Ji Yong”
